Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Tani_S replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Preupdate Isida had 9.01 sec charge, so the Isida damage magazine got nerfed. Healing is now about a sec. longer. -
Maybe you can make a Top Ten list of Goldbox users as a seperate list as well :) This one can be a starter :P

Do you mean shooting from blue base in Noise into the red base? :P

I'd say less, but not because of Hammer, but rather coz I play less. My motivation for Tanki is on a long-term low level at the moment, on the hand because of these updates and the overall development, on the other hand because of real life time constraints, which will also increase in near future. Anyway, it would be cool if we could rely on TO announcement informations. The biggest problem in TO in my eyes is the indifference and disinterest towards players, but that is probably caused by cultural differences in expectations and actions. Sorry for being off-topic.

What's the point of Shaft M2 alt. now? I think this change yesterday will only stir up a new change...

Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

Isida with M2 alt. can barely kill a light hull when consuming its whole energy. -
Hammer M4 reload between shots has gone from 1.9 sec to 1.8 sec. Clip reload has gone from 4 sec to 5 sec.

There is a lot less damage in the magazine now, so this is a net nerf. I believed the announcement before so I thought it made it stronger. -

Two things 1) I would appreciate if we can rely on the information of the published announcements. 2) The more and faster the uniqueness killing updates are implemented, the more the people don't like to follow Tanki's way, no matter if there is something "really interesting coming in future". -

I can't see how Isida should have a higher DPM than Freeze now?!? My Isida M3 is 18/50 and has a DPS of 756 and so it has a DPM of 15,120 (because 756*5 / 15 sec * 60 sec. = 15120 ). Now a Freeze M3 0/50 has 4507 dmg. in the mag. / 15.04 sec *60 = 17,980 A Firebird M3 0/50 (without afterburn) has a DPM of 17,417. Huhh?!? -

He is talking of the DPS and not the time to kill, so then you have to divide the damage by reload+charge time. However, the charge is 3 sec. and not 2.1 sec. and the change will increase it by 1. The 3000 are a minimum damage on m4 in order to kill a medium hull, it could be also the case that it is 3200 or so. If it is 3200 then the M2 alt. can also oneshot a heavy hull, so this would make more sense. Previously it was the main advantage of m2 alt. to oneshot a medium hull, which is not necessary anymore. -

Do you have the change numbers? -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

So basically Hammer got 5 changes: Stock turret: Faster reload between shots Slower Clip reload Hammer Ricochet effect with self-damage  More range dependency by reducing the no. of pellets in one shot from 21 to 9 Alteration (all changes of the above affect the alt. of course too, especially the slower clip reload multiplied): 5. Slower reload between shots as an additional disadvantage -

Ok... Yeah, I also don't get why they make Isida's healing so bad compared to it's damage output. => It's just stressing less uniqueness, together with the removal of the residual self-healing. -

Ok, one could see it this way. But in fact this side is a nerf, they just want to make the M1 alt. more useful. They use the exact same argument to highlight the opposite. -

lol I think you completely misinterpreted these balance changes: Isida was buffed -> the numbers will show this Hammer was nerfed, especially the m2 alt. Shaft is no clear buff/nerf, just even more differences between snipe and arcade mode. Snipe mode will be about like the current M2 alteration. I'd rather think it's a nerf than a buff. -
I thought about MUing Isida yesterday, but I decided not to... Now I regret it

Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Tani_S replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Oh no, I shouldn't have said that, because now it was changed this way  I didn't expect Hazel to change the structure of an alteration   This is the first time that not only numbers of an alteration will be changed, but also an negative additional parameter will be added to it :( -
Firebirds are rather bad, but the alteration is OP and your Twins handling need to be adjusted now.

Vulcan's aim was lowered by 4° (up 13 -> 9 and down 16 -> 12) and Shaft's aim was lowered by 5° (up 12 -> 7 and down 15 -> 10). Vulcan has at least a theoretical chance to use rocking the hull, which Shaft doesn't have). But you're right, that both nerfs were strong and for both turrets rocking the hull is no real option. I don't know the motivation for the auto-aim nerfs either, maybe Hazel has some kind of strategic restructuring plans behind again, but what does it help to know the movitation...
