As usual, we have another amazing album from the same amazing community. Thanks again to all those who volunteered and make it possible every time around. :) You guys are awesome!

 

On a side note, I'd like to apoligize to those who volunteered but never got their photo taken, but remember this; it isn't easy running around like a chicken without a head for two three days, trying to take as many pics as possible yet still find some time to play a few battles. Nonetheless, I am sorry and am open to take some random pics of you anyways.

 

And finally, sometimes when I take someones' pic, and I only plan to take one pic, I end up telling the person whom I'm taking a pic of "one more?", and before you know it, I have ten pics instead of one. :lol: So, since I thought it'd be a shame to throw those photos in this abandoned album of mine which no one looks at (not anymore, because I just promoted it), I've made a separate album for those extra photos. If anything, it would be Xenophobia, not racism. Not saying the quote in the spoiler is or isn't xenophobic, but it certainly isn't racism.

yes, i am srry. the word "xenophobia" wasnt known to me, so i described him as racist since that was the word i knew, closest to what i meant. i am srry.

            1. It became a strong word, because it is associated (correctly) with some very, very bad things that happened in history and even today - and                 most of the people don't want to be associated with beeing like those people whi have done those bad things.

 

            2. But the issue is, that this word is used wrongly today so many times (out of it's meaning). As people are too "lazy" to check the meaning, to                   think for themselves.. they accept that misuse. But as they have no idea what it used to mean, they can not defend themselves either.                             Therefore it is such a formidable discussion killer, as it puts the non-informed individual into a corner without escape - and by today it                           does that _no_matter_ if it was used right or wrong(!).

                To continue to use it wrong just bangs this even deeper into readers brains.

 

In the example a few posts above it was cast onto someone who spoke about different economic systems and the effect they cause on the people living in it. This has nothing to do with races or ethnies. It was just a very poor example of "bad stereotyping", it has nothing to do with racism.

and racism doesn't only mean whites whipping blacks SOLELY because of their skin colour. it means discriminating against a group of people solely because of their physical features, or their origin. in this case, that guy was clearly discriminating against the devs, and as a justification saying they r "russians, so htats y so bad at marketing"

that translates to "russians bad at marketing". whoa. u necessarily HAVE to be bad at marketing just because u r a russian now. fantasticò.
