Which is better in terms of damage and time it is dealt? Railgun M2 Or thunder M1
r_Justen0 replied to DarkStarz in Archive
I know its calculated by an exponential decay function, and I think its around 2 meters for AoE -
Its not so much the power that pisses me off (the m3 smokey is sadly undergunned at this point) its how painfully obvious it is that they're just doing it to get money. If you're going to do something just to get money from it, at least make it something that lasts more than just a week! On top of that, the only people who go for things like this are smug little brats using mommy and daddy's money and people who for some reason refuse to go get a better game for *insert money they spent on tanki*.

not everyone has time to play that much -
what is this... I don't even?

I said no because I'm a Deist and even though I don't believe in a christian god I still think whoever is up there probably knows what is going to happen.

Why does no one use railguns anymore?

m3 freeze. No ones gonna have enough time to kill you. An m2 viking will be just fine

I've found that the only thing that really matters is accuracy. I've put down plenty of m3 thunders with my m2 railgun, simply because I'm smarter and more accurate. Just because your tank is heavily armored and armed, doesn't mean you can hit anything. I've even been in games where the other team's snipers have much better weapons, but they're terrible with them. I got so bored I just left actually, the ricochet does lose damage over distance. at 40m its 50% (I think?) and at 60m its 25%. Same with thunder and smokey (50% at 50m and 25% past 100) and twins (twins might not... I'm not sure). -
and even then... you have to be at a specific angle, a specific distance away, make sure you know what tank you're shooting at, know where you can kill it from, and at what speeds. Its pretty damn hard to take out a tank with any gun that you can't fit your fist into. And the only plane that has that kind of ordinance is the C-130 Spooky.

Lets see... its the cost of an m3 railgun (assuming you already have an m2, which isn't very unrealistic), it only lasts for a week, it still won't do crap for damage past 100 meters or so (25% of original damage), and it still doesn't have the fear factor that a thunder or railgun does, because it just sounds like a normal smokey. Not to mention it looks ******ed on any tank you put it on
-
The classic strategy. =/ mammoth twins on nitro will flip hornets like none other. as for me, I only ram thunders... I either hit a viking thunder and it shoots me twice, I shoot it with my m2 railgun and it dies, or a hornet shoots me once and I rape it with my railer.
-
for the 4k crystals, I would just buy an m3 railgun... doesn't lose any damage over distance, and its more accurate
-
the only way to get an epic screenie would be if you had a hypercam or something... and that makes the fps like 3. I could totally win this with epic railgun skillzzzz

But with drugs, I think railgun wins because One hit? yes. Also, railguns don't lose damage over distance like thunders do. Past 100 yards, thunders are basically useless (25% original damage), so it really depends on what you're doing. Plus, if you have an m1 thunder, I just shoot you with my railgun as you come around the corner and then ram you. if you shoot me twice, you suicide and I don't die. The thunder is better that the railgun on paper, but then again, the m2 railgun does more dps/dpm than m3 twins do... and god knows m2 railguns won't get 2 shots off unless they have something better than an m2 viking. -
The launch of Tanki Online 2.0 was postponed. So far, the release date is unknown.

it means that in the end of march it will be just OPEN TESTING, not v2 .. damn .. open testing means that its being balanced, but its basically the finished game. They're just still making sure there aren't any major glitches or anything -
it was... but the creators are russian. They could've just kept it in russian and made us deal with it, but they didn't.
-
^The game was made for russians, and they were nice enough to give us English speakers a translated version... wy can't we just be grateful for that?
-
I thought new was the one with the sniper tower, old was the one without? and I already knew how to do that
-
yeah... I saw that now. but still, the red team on the new version is useless for railguns and thunders
-
the entire point is for both sides to be equally enjoyable to play for anyone, isn't it? shouldn't both teams have the opportunity to snipe? also, I didn't know there was 2 versions 0.o
-
Dupe accounts are against the terms of service... nice job.

I really really like Silence. It has to be one of my favorite maps, and it usually doesn't matter what team I'm on. But now, they took away the sniper tower on the red team, the ledge for the blue team, and the railing on blue base. The ledge, I can live with... it gave the blue team too many positions to shoot from. But why take away the sniper tower--the only advantage the red team had--and take away the railing on blue base? All you need is 2 ricochets up there, and the game is over. No one can do anything. Not to mention there is no way to kill them up there seeing as the sniper tower is history! Silence was one of the best maps in Tanki, and its ruined now... the red team is just a shooting gallery for blue snipers, and I'm never gonna play it again

lol... I remember hoping 2.0 would come out in august or september... now its January. though, can't really expect more from a video game

I personally like firebird and wasp... but thats just me. That or titan and twins
