When ASL was a holiday event, players were all excited about it. You could hardly get into a battle. After the holiday was over, the forum was busy with players talking about the battle mode and many wanted it permanently. The Devs went to all the trouble to grant us our wish. Where are all those players now? I rarely see any more than 4 ASL battles. Because of that, I'm constantly battling Major to LT. General (I play using my Captain account). Seldom do I see a battle Brigadier and below. Players complain that the Devs never listen to us. Now they did and how do we say thanks? By not playing it. Personally, I like ASL and I wish there were more players were playing it so I can battle more players closer to my rank and play it more often. There was one evening when all the ASL battles were Marshal and above. Nope, I don't join those battles. I'm surprised by how many players have no idea how to effectively play or the lack of lack of strategy. I was recently in a battle of 4 v 4. We were defence on Highways. Sitting on top of our flag base was an Isida/Wasp and Firebird/Hornet, neither left the flag base. How did the Firebird and Isida think they were defending? The Red team (drugging to capacity, of course) simply came up on the level of the flag base, killed the Isida and then the Firebird. Below that level was Railgun/Wasp (not drugging and doing very little damage) and I was on the bottom watching and waiting for Red to grab a flag. I went after them with drugs. Some I killed most I didn't. Oh well, we lost big time. I took that position because I knew the Railgun wasn't going to kill them and the Firebird and Isida were sitting ducks. in another battle, half the team was sitting on the flag base defending. Good strategy until Red Magnum arrived and one shotted all of them. But did they learn? Nope. They all gathered back into the same group just to be Magnum one shotted over and over. Then there was the Defending team on York map that didn't defend. Instead, they were at Red base playing TDM. Good strategy? Not this time. There always seemed to be one that got away and successfully attacked our base. We lost. Another Highways ASL map. We were defense. I think half the team were mults or AFKers. They didn't do a whole lot of defending. Red went by them and did nothing. Others were camping, took one shot at Red but didn't do a whole lot to stop them. The score was embarrassing. It just seems as though players don't know how to defend. Not all games were bad and were close scores. I see a lot of really substandard playing on this mode. What have you experienced?

2009-2010 I played 4-5 hours every evening and sometimes more on Sunday. That's about 28 to 35+ hours a week. This was my "go to" game. Since 2015 (or there about) my playing got less and less. Now I play 8-10 hours a week. It's no longer my "go to" game. Why? Because Tanki used to be F2P with the option to buy. Now it's P2W with the option not to buy and it's become harder to compete. Prices have increased. Tanki has become more stressful than fun, unless you have an unlimited credit card and do not mind paying the credit card fees every time you use it. Some players do not have that luxury (and it is a luxury). So, the grinding goes on and on. I have enough stressors in my life, I do not need a game to add to them. I can not afford to help someone make a car payment, I'm paying for my own car. I can not afford to help make someone's mortgage payment, I have my own mortgage to worry about. Plus medical expenses, house insurance, car insurance and life insurance and all other expenses one needs to survive. Sure, every time I make a purchase in a store, I'm helping someone make their payments of life. But those are purchases out of necessity. Tanki is not a necessity of life .... I can live very well without Tanki, thank you very much. I understand this is a small game coming out of a small office with only a handful of employees. Seems to me that someone is getting rich quick. OR Tanki is supporting something else outside the gaming industry and we are paying for it (whatever IT is). Someone mentioned that Tanki is supporting Tanki X and that's where the money from Tanki is going. Edited for typing errors.

Everything is dumped when I close my browser, but I check periodically anyway. Day before yesterday, I defragged/optimized, ran a full bug scan, cached out my browsers and flash. I checked with Norton to see what he's been up to and he said everything is copacetic. I was glad he didn't say, "SSDD" or "SNAFU." I pulled a full things out of "C" put into "D." I went into the filing cabinet and ripped up some files I no longer needed and dumped the trash and recycle bin. Then I closed my browsers (one at a time, of course) and reopened them. When I was satisfied that those doors worked without a squeak, I let PC go to sleep. After a few minutes, I woke PC up, shut PC down and put PC lights out. Thirty minutes later, I booted up. No, I'm not trying to be a "Smart......Gluteus Maximus." I do this routinely at least twice a month.

If I'm in the heat of battle and I see a blue flag on top of a tank and I'm on the blue team, I'm taking aim at that tank, not looking for little green numbers. Sometimes the enemy Isida will come up so close to your tank, you don't see the beam, but you hear it. They both sound the same. I am looking at my turret to see where I'm aiming. I'm more likely to see my turret and not so much little green numbers that sometimes blend in with scenery.

I asked in Q&A and I'll ask it here. What am I supposed to take a screenshot of? The blue dome or a player with the OD supplies activated? I was just thinking of the OD activation without the blue dome. I realized this morning while playing DM on the New Year's map, that when the OD is activated, you can hear it. A few days ago on Brest, an player from the opposing team came into our building. I had just respawned in the trench just in front of the flag. He saw me and activated the OD supplies, but come to think of it, I didn't hear that distinctive sound. So, it wasn't so much the absence of the dome, but the absence of the sound. But my question still stands. Is there supposed to be a blue dome or was that taken out of the game?

Magnum happened. The newest turret and very Overpowered. It shoots a rocket up in the air and lands with a very large splash radius. A good player can land that rocket just about anywhere he/she wants to on a map....behind walls, behind buildings, no one is safe. All the while the Magnum is killing large groups of enemy tanks, the player's tank is hiding behind a wall or building. Even though they are hiding, they do have one vulnerability....the cannon. It sticks up over the obstacle they are hiding behind, IE: wall. I think the only turret that can shoot the Magnum cannon from afar is Shaft in scope mode. I don't know if Striker can zero in on it or not. Assault battle mode has been introduced, but on a trial basis, for now. It depends on popularity whether or not it will stay. Many other updates, but I'll give other players a chance to respond.

Many times I've watched 1 vs 1 battle scores from the lobby and wished I was a fly on the wall. There will be two players at extreme opposite ends of the rank allowance. The higher rank will get an extremely low score (if any at all) while the lower rank will gets a very high score. I've seen CTF score 10-0, lower rank getting all the flags, higher rank getting no score at all. But to be fair, I have also seen the higher rank get 2 flags and the lower get 8. DM is the same. Higher rank no kills or maybe 4 kills. The lower rank has a very high score and high kill count. I'm not talking about Magnum. This has been going on long before that. I refuse to believe these battles are honest. I think the two players are actually one player with a PC and a laptop. If this isn't power leveling, I don't know what is. But there is no way to prove it, so it goes on and on. As far as Tanki is concerned, this is all fair play. So get out your PCs and laptops and start power leveling. Tanki won't stop it and no one can prove it.

When I first started playing Tanki, late 2009, the losing team got Zero crystals. Adding crystals for the losing team was an update. Players were excited about the update until they realized it was just a small pittance to keep us quiet. I'm all too familiar with abusers. As @Imok-Urok called them, Crystal Farmers. Yes, the crystal boxes were added to the battle fund, I know that. There was another update that made the crystal boxes worth 100 crystals, but they were not as numerous as the 10 crystal boxes and only one fell in the drop zone. With that in mind, the top scorer on the losing team may not get even that much, now.

If I don't pay for the speedup, is it cheaper to MU equipment, pay for it in full or are they both the same price?

I think it would be a good idea, sometimes. There have been times when I notice an Isida wave behind me. I think, "Oh, thank goodness, we have an Isida. Oh, wait. No. My health bar is going in the wrong direction." But there are players who are vanity stricken when it comes to their paints. They don't want them smudged for whatever reason. There's one player who wants a slideshow going on all battle long showing off all the paints he has in the garage. That player would have a Big problem with this idea. And there were others who agreed with him.

I use Norton and AdBlock Plus, too and I have wandered into potential threats. Norton blocks them and won't let you go any further. That's how it keeps your computer safe. You can also click on the icon in the taskbar and see what tasks Norton has done to keep you safe from the time you boot up until the time you close down. It keeps a running tally until you delete them. It tells you what "risks" have come your way, the level of the risk and what action needs to be taken, if any. Norton will deal with the low risks. Once a very high risk hit my computer. Norton put it in quarantine. It instructed me to click on quarantine and to follow instructions. Which I did.

I usually don't have any problems seeing damage points at the beginning of a battle. But sometimes during battle, I know I have hit someone square, dead on, but the damage point(s) don't show. It might happen for a couple shots, but then they start showing up again. It seems to be intermittent and not in every battle. Is this lag? It happens even when my fps and ping are within normal range. But then, I've also noticed that my damage points blend in with the background and the only way I happen to see them is if I quickly turn my turret to change the background colors. The above mentioned occurrence happens, too.
