Your font was so small, I couldn't read it without eyestrain. So, I'm opting out of this one.

I don't completely agree. When you first enter night mode, the screen is very dark, but soon seems to lighten up a bit (or your eyes get used to the dark screen) and it becomes easier to pick out images at a distance. Dark tanks can hide in the shadows. Headlights are a dead give away. Take Rio, for instance, on blue side up on the cliff where that big pipe sticks out. A tank can hide beside that pipe and, at a distance, it can't be seen. As you get closer, you begin to see the team identifying colors. With headlights on, a tank is no longer "invisible" and takes away that little bit of strategy. If this is opted in, then you should be able to opt out in settings.

That's an interesting concept. I wonder if both teams stayed after the battle was over.

A strategy I've used a few times in enemy base and home base is to ram the front of my tank into a building keeping the tracks going forward and the turret spinning. Sometimes, the enemy will kill me, but usually they will give me a couple pot shots. When I don't respond they leave me alone. When the coast is clear, I'll go about doing what I came there for. I've used this strategy when guarding our flag. When their back is turned, I load a DD and shoot them in the back. Another strategy I've seen several times is for 2 or 3 tanks sit in separate respawn zones and don't move. When the enemy comes in, and they see no movement, they go about their business. They think the player is AFK. The tank the enemy has passed will load a DD and shoot. If the enemy survives, the others playing 'possum will shoot. Geezes, you can't trust anyone anymore.

Personally, I think the Devs what this as a Russian buyers game. But they don't want to take Tanki out of the EU community completely because they would lose money. So, it's a Russian game that allows European and American players to buy or sink. Tanki has changed, we all agree, and not always for the better. The messages here seems to be: 1...If you don't want to play a Russian game, then don't play. 2...If you want to play a Russian game, then play, but keep quiet. 3...If you want to play a Russian game and talk, then learn Russian 4...Regardless of your decision, please, buy, buy, buy. We love money of all Nations. No discrimination there. My opinion, bottom line: We don't love you, we don't even like you, but we adore your money. Please buy until it hurts, but don't expect us to reciprocate in anyway that doesn't benefit the Russian Community. This is a Russian game, get over it or quit.

Valid Buying items for other players as gifts (for money only)
PetoAbyssus replied to Crip in Ideas and Suggestions
Let me see if I have this right. Let's say a player is starting to climb up the ladder of the General ranks and he's thinking seriously of starting over with a new account. He makes this alternate account and uses it just enough to keep it active. Meanwhile, the player is sending this alternate account, over a period of time, fully upgraded hulls, turrets, protections and even paint that can be unlocked as soon as the alternate has enough rank. So, feasibly, your alternate can be fully supplied from M0 to M4 in at least one hull and one turret plus have a boat load of supplies and crystals. Yes, he could do this anyway each time he ranked up, but would put a strain on his credit card. So, by doing it in increments he could dominate the game from day one. As soon as he ranks up, all he has to do is go to the garage, burst open all the boxes for that rank, go into the next battle with fully upgraded hull, turret and protection with some shiny new paint. Or..... Just buy all the kits. Is that correct? -
This is very similar to a tank game I played years ago. I don't remember the name of it anymore, but that doesn't matter much since it's no longer around. Here's the basics: Team: Two 4 man teams Game mode: One. TDM. When you died, your tank was vaporized. Game ended when the last tank on a team was destroyed or 20 minutes elapsed. If all the tanks on one team wasn't destroyed by the end of the 20 minute round, no winner was declared and everybody left standing went back to the garage. The player that destroyed the last tank on a team was rewarded with a bonus in silver. If the last player on a team left, it was said he surrendered and the other team was declared the winner. There were no life bars. The HP you had left was at the bottom of the screen. In the garage, you could choose between bright red paint or bright blue paint. You could choose which map you wanted to battle on and you were put on a team according to the color of your tank. That's the only way you could tell the difference between the enemy and your teammates. Maps: Winter, Summer, Rain, Fog (each map had different terrain, buildings, etc). Much larger than any TO maps. I never found the edge of the map in Rain and Fog. Tanks: One. Similar to Hunter. Upgradable. On Winter, Rain and Fog maps tanks had headlights and taillights. Turrets: One. Similar to Smokey, but a bit more powerful with a slight recoil. Upgradable. Game currency: Silver. Was awarded according to the XP you received. (I don't remember the ratio). Winter Map: Not really heavy snow, but enough to affect visibility. Bridges were Icy. There was a long bridge between the two teams. The bridges were very icy and difficult to negotiate. The only way to get across them was to go straight. If you were at an angle, the tank would begin to lose traction and fishtail about half way across. When shooting from the bridges, your tank would turn because of the turret recoil. Then the tank was difficult to straighten up because of the ice. There were two bridges. The one between the two teams (very long and icy) and a very steep one. The steep one had a good vantage point for shooting the enemy, but very treacherous. You could easily start sliding down the bridge in any direction (forward or backwards) and just ride it out until you got to the bottom. In the center of the map was one very large building, like a factory, but the doors were closed. Two small buildings nearby, like maybe used for storage. Summer Map: Sun was very bright and if you turned the tank in the direction of the sun, the top half of your screen was very bright. The glare was almost blinding. This could be used to your advantage. Open area in the middle. Edge of the map was surrounded with trees and bushes far enough apart to maneuver the tank, but not much cover, The last row of trees acted like a wall so you couldn't drive off the edge. No buildings or walls to hide behind. Rain Map: Very heavy rain. Dark, very little visibility. Claps of thunder in the distance. Lightning didn't hit the ground, but would light up the terrain for a second. That was usually the only way you could see the other tanks at a distance. Sometimes the flash of lightning was bright enough to see the reflection of the paint. Other times, they showed as a shadow. There were 4 buildings in the center. Configured like Island Map in Tanki, but larger and further apart. Trees and shrubs were thick in some spots and sparse in other parts. You couldn't drive your tank through the thick group of trees, but you could see across them. Fog Map: Fog was like pea soup. Visibility almost nil. You could see dark shadows as you approached, but you couldn't tell if it was a building or a tank until you were almost on top of it. There were several small buildings dotted around the map. You had to keep your eyes open for the headlights and taillights. Although a few buildings had lights on inside. At some point on the map, there was a narrow stream or gully (don't know what was there) and several short bridges across it. I don't know if you could actually fall into the ravine. I didn't want to be vaporized, so I never tried it. I don't know where the game originated. I was using a very basic computer and never experienced any lagging.

Putting money into a game is a waste. Games don't care if you live or die, it doesn't care if you car breaks down. It doesn't even care whether or not you have a savings account to cover emergencies. The Dev's don't either. Just think of all the money you could have in your savings if you didn't buy anything from tanki. One of the players mentioned that he puts $100.00 into this game every month. That's $1200.00 a year. By his rank, I'd say maybe a couple years or more. That adds up. I would venture to say, TO is a multi-billion dollar a year business. I'd sure like to see where all that money goes.

You're right about that. But it seems a shame to have such high performance cars and not be able to realize their full potential.

I used to play "RuneScape" every day for years. Got burned out on it and stayed away for about a year. I went back and it has changed so much, I don't even recognize it nor do I understand the battle mode. My armor and weapon was top of the line, now they're mediocre. I gave up my subscription. .

High performance supercharged cars
PetoAbyssus replied to PetoAbyssus in High performance supercharged cars Archive
Why would anyone want a high performance, supercharged car that does 240 miles per hour and goes from 0-60 in 4 seconds, just for highway driving and not the race track? There is not a highway in this country that allows over 80 miles per hour, and those are hard to find, although there is a toll road going from Austin, Tx to San Antonio, Tx opening up that will allow 85 miles per hour. These cars are highly expensive. So, why buy them if you can't use them to their optimal efficiency? -

I admit nothing!!! Admission can turn around and bite you in the rear end when you least expect it. I admit nothing, I know nothing.

Taken from Wikipedia: "Troll: In internet slang, a Troll is a person who sows discord on the internet by starting arguments or upsetting people by posting inflammatory, extraneous or off-topic messages in an online community (such as news groups, forum, chat room or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion, often for the Troll's amusement." How can this EVEN be fun? Trolls, as explained here, have no empathy, no compassion, no concern for other peoples feelings, or emotional well-being. They disrupt and offer nothing but discord for their own entertainment at the cost of other people's feelings, with no remorse. By the OP starting this topic, he is endorsing socially unacceptable behavior and encouraging others to do the same.

CTF on Rico, red team. My team was playing TDM and didn't seem to care about capping flags. I tried a few times to cap a flag, but blue team was over running our base and I got killed each time. So, we got 0 flags. Although red team got a few kills, blue team was a bit stronger and made more kills and capped several flags.

First: I don't understand what you mean by "2nd Lt" Secondly: Are you asking why he wasn't killed?

With Parkour, most anything is possible. Watch some of the videos in YouTube and you'll see what I mean. If this wasn't a parkour battle, it looks like he is high enough he should have exploded. I know that sometimes, if you get on top of a big tank, you'll explode. That's why I don't understand why a tank on top of a GB pile doesn't explode. However, a tank, with help, can get up on the second level cliff on the red side of Highland and doesn't explode.

PetoAbyssus is Latin for "Go to the abyss" During the Roman times, "go to Hell" hadn't been coined yet. Instead, they used abyssus. i didn't know if Go_To_Hell would be accepted, so I translated it into Latin.

I use railgun/dictator mostly on Barda. In CTF, I will place my tank either up top or down on the bottom in the gully. I shoot the enemy as they come in and again as they are leaving with the flag, if they go out the front of the building. When I'm up top, I not only shoot at the enemy in the upper level of their base, but also as they cross the bridge or in the respawn area, if I hang the rear of my tank over the edge on the side of the building. I can also get Shaft like that, too. I usually get at least 18 kills and more with 0 deaths or 1 to 2 deaths in a 15 minute battle. I noticed that there was a player on our team who died many times with just a few kills end up in 2nd place while I end up in 4 place from the bottom on a 10 man team. Example: Last week, I was playing as mentioned above. It was a 10 man team and both teams were full. I got 24 kills with 2 deaths and ended up in 6th place. I noticed one of our players had 18 deaths with 9 kills and ended up in 2nd place. The other team had 3 Mammoths with Hammer, Firebird and Thunder guarding the flag. On the upper deck was a Mammoth/Vulcan with his aim at the flag. It was impossible for one person to get the flag. It took at least 3 or 4 with supplies activated (drugs) to grab the flag. (I had gone down there thinking I could get a flag if I used DA and Speed. That's how I knew what they had). I was dead before I even entered the building. So I knew the 2nd place player with a lot of deaths and little kills couldn't have grabbed the flag more than 1 or 2 times. He had Twins/Hornet with standard blue paint. He was very careless and usually got killed by Shaft. Final score was 5-0 our favor. With this information, how did he end up in 2nd place and me in 6th place?

My Aunt bought the house her parents (my Grandparents) lived and died in. Sometimes, around 8:00 pm, you can hear cards shuffling and people talking very low. I was never able to make out what they were saying. My Grandmother loved to cook so all the big Holidays were spent at their house. Afterwards, the women would go in the living room and play cards, while the men went in the basement to smoke cigars. The children were "scooted" into the breakfast room were the toy box was. Off of the main bedroom was the Nursery. It's a very small room. Sometimes you could hear a baby crying in there. We think it was the one that died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). I spent one summer with my Grandparents. While there, I came down with the mumps and was quarantined in the nursery. Many times I heard people talking, but couldn't make out what was being said. I know the talking was in the room, not outside. I told my Grandmother about the voices. She shrugged it off, saying, "You have always had quite an imagination." After my Aunt passed away, spirit activity has increased. Sometimes, when in the basement, you can hear footsteps in the kitchen above. I've heard them and so have others. We have come to the conclusion that it's probably my Grandmother, since she spent most of her time cooking and baking.

"Boringest?" Is there such a word as boringest? In think not. "I bet nobody else has this class." So you were the only one taking this class? Why? So what's wrong with "solving problems?" We problem solve every day. It's like mathematics. Certain steps have to be taken to solve the problem correctly. It may have been your most boring class, but I bet you learned a few vital strategies. You may have to fall back on that class for your very survival, some day. I wish that class had been offered at our school.
