Contacting the tech support can do no harm. He can contact them while waiting for his weekly containers to come back (if we assume what you said is true), If he gets his weekly containers back suddenly he can notify the tech support about it.

Weekly containers contain the same items ( supplies, crystals and tankoins). If he claims the crystals amount and supplies didn't increase then surely something is not right here.
