While my opinion may be unpopular, I love this update. Your positioning before dying has a lot of impact on the gameplay now which is something I find important. It also reminds me of the old times.

In all honesty, Crisis XT should NOT be stronger than regular Crisis. Whether you admit it or not, the reward was not given to you because you are more skilled than other players but because you bought the most stars throughout that specific challenge. Cosmetic items (in this case - Crisis XT) are good way to keep the game's balance while offering a high-tier rewards to those who are willing to pay for it. If you managed to get your hands on this rare drone, it most likely means that you already have most of the OP augments that currently exist in the game, giving you an even more powerful version of Crisis doesn't sound like the best way to keep the gap between buyers and non-buyers to me. That being said, I would like to ask all of you who take part in this dicussion to be respectful even if you disagree with the original poster's points.

The first point might be correct however your third and fourth points are invalid. One can think a skin is ugly while someone else might find the very same skin is favourite skin in the game. It's all about preference when it comes down to skins.

This is definitely not the reason. People (both in game and real life) love to stand out, be unique and feel special. That's why many people tend to spend money on exclusive items, be it skins in-game (that do not provide any competative advantage) or designers clothes for example (that do not provide more "cover" than normal clothes). There are many possible reasons for the game's decline in popularity but there is no reason to blame every single thing that is being released to the game. Bugs are being reported to the developers and they are doing what they can to fix them, it has nothing to do with the creation of skins. Isn't it logical? Any company in the world would try to get more customers and using their platform to do so is very logical.
