Last Impact vs Penguins - Group E Hello and welcome to another eSports review! Today, I’ll be reviewing the match between the teams "Penguins" and "Last ImpacT", played in the English tournament Domination Series - Season II. This match has been played on Red Alert in Critical format. The English clan Penguins had to win this last group match to get into the playoffs. Their opponent, team Last ImpacT, is surprisingly not a clan. Despite that, this team actually achieved 2nd place in the German tournament “Kampf der Sterne”. You can find the video from this match here. If you want to be updated about future streams of Domination Series - Season II, you can check this topic; Domination Series II Livestreaming Schedule First Round Penguins entered the round on the red side and Last ImpacT on the blue side. Penguins started the match very well, they controlled their drops and attacked together. from Penguins occupied Last Impact’s base with Double Armor & Double Power equipped while @DR.TWINS grabbed the flag and headed towards his base. he successfully captured it and opened the score for Penguins. Seven minutes before round end, @X_u_LLl_H_u_K_444 from Last ImpacT picked up full drops. He took Penguins’ flag and tried to reach his base through the map's middle but 5 players from Penguins were able to stop him without any complications. The drops fell for the third time and @FinalStage from Penguins picked up Double Armor & Speed Boost and attacked Last Impact’s base. @FinalStage took the flag under the cover of @I3oris who was equipped with Double Power. @FinalStage captured another flag and raised Penguins' lead! Few moments later, Destiny from Penguins picked up Double Armor & Double Power and got a hold of Last Impact’s flag once again. Before he could capture the flag, from Last ImpacT took Penguins’ flag but he didn’t drive very far with it. Penguins' members successfully paralyzed him and then they returned the flag. The score was 3:0 for Penguins. Just three minutes before the bell, Penguins took possession of supply drops. I3oris from Penguins was armed with Speed Boost & Double Power which allowed him to capture another flag! The score was 4:0 for Penguins and the outcome of this round was pretty much decided. When the supply drops were falling for the last time in this round, @FinalStage picked up full drops and captured the last flag of this round! This round ended 5:0 for Penguins. Second Round The second round started very well for Penguins. Right at the start @Spy who picked up Double Armor & Speed boost took the flag and captured it. The score was 1:0 for Penguins in less than 1 minute after the start of the round. After few minutes without any decisive attack, @Spy picked up Double Armor & Speed Boost and got into the Last ImpacT's base with his teammate @I3oris in order to capture another flag. Spy took the flag and captured it. Right after that, his teammate @FinalStage equipped with Speed Boost followed in his footsteps and captured the third flag. The drops fell for the fourth time and Penguins left their base without defenders which allowed @dzejson from Last ImpacT to take their flag. Unfortunately for Last ImpacT, @dzejson has been stopped in his tracks by and @Spy. Thirty seconds before the end of the round, Penguins left their base open. did not hesitate and took his chance to grab the flag and capture it! The round ended with the result 3:1 for Penguins. Third Round Penguins started the much with an aggressive attack. Destiny, who picked up full drops, took the flag from the middle and captured it! Without any waiting, @Assertive took the enemy flag once again, dropped the flag to and he captured it. In less than two minutes, Penguins grasped a 2:0 lead. Six minutes before the end of the round, Last ImpacT left their base with only 1 defender. @FinalStage picked up Double Armor and Speed boost and used this opportunity to steal another flag from the Last ImpacT's base. The score was 3:0 for Penguins. Once again, you could have seen swift @FinalStage with Double Armor and Speed boost. @FinalStage has skillfully flipped one of the defenders and destroyed the second defender lurking in the base. With help from @Assertive who picked up full drops, he managed to capture the flag. I3oris equipped with Double Armor & Speed boost took the flag and captured it! Afterwards, from Penguins took another flag with full drops and captured it with slighter of health. At the very end, @FinalStage captured the last flag of the match. The round ended with the result 7:0 for PenGs and the match with the result 3:0 for Penguins. Interviews Just like in the last review I got 2 players, one from each team to tell me what happened in their last match! Interview with: @Spy: Hello ! First of all, congratulations! Penguins managed to get into the playoffs of DS II. Your last match was wonderful! You captured 15 flags. How did you do that? What's your trick? : We controlled all supply drops. When we had those under control, we focused on the opponents and eliminated them. After that, capturing flags wasn't hard. @Spy: Did you like the “Critical Format”? Have you trained for it? : To be honest, I personally don't like the critical format that much, but we trained for it since we somehow expected to play in this format. @Spy: Penguins got far in the "Master of the Swords" tournament. Do you think you'll able to do the same in DS II? : We're not the same clan we were when we started in MoS. Wetrained a lot, so yes, I think will be able to do good even now. @Spy: Thank you for answering my questions! Best of luck in your upcoming matches. Interview with: @S_K_E_N_D_E_R_B_E_U @Spy: Hello @S_K_E_N_D_E_R_B_E_U! Last ImpacT lost yesterday but still managed to get into the playoffs. Congratulations! You captured only 1 flag in three rounds. What do you think were the reasons you didn't succeed? @S_K_E_N_D_E_R_B_E_U: Critical Format isn’t our best Format actually and not all of our good Critical Format Players were present in the battle. @Spy: You might play in this format again in the playoffs. What’s your plan? @S_K_E_N_D_E_R_B_E_U: Of course, we will train more intensive, but It's possible we won't play in critical format again. @Spy: Did you like the “Critical Format”? Have you trained for it? @S_K_E_N_D_E_R_B_E_U: Of course we trained for it, but not that much as other formats, actually. @Spy: Thank you for your time! Best of luck in your upcoming matches. Interview with: - eSports Commentator @Spy Hello ! Thank you for joining. You, together with @The.L-E-G-E-N-D, broadcasted and comentated the aforementioned match. In your opinion, why did PenGs win this match? : The main reason why I think PenGs won is because they had excellent control of the drops, they were attacking collectively and as a team, using extremely smart tactics against their enemies, and it 100% looked like they were communicating and clearly dominating. @Spy: What was the key to victory in this match? : I believe the key to the victory in this match was: 1. Having Good Control Of The Drops 2. Attacking As A Team 3. Communication In Critical Format, I believe that if one team doesn't have good control of the drops and the other team does, they don't really stand a chance. Especially in Critical Format, a Wasp with no Double Armor, or any supplies in general, can be taken down by a Smoky in 3-4 shots, which is relatively quick if you look at Smoky's Reload Time. Now, if you don't attack as a team, you literally do not stand a chance, the enemy team will have basically most of their players trying to focus on you and get a return, and going back to what I said, one Wasp with no supplies can be taken out easily in 3-4 shots. That's why you want to attack as a team. That way you have multiple Wasps attacking, and all backing up each other, and once one Wasp dies, which is most likely to happen, another Wasp can swoop right in and take the flag and continue, especially if they have supplies. And obviously communication, if you do not have communication among your team, it just doesn't work out, because for example say 2 Wasps are attacking together, and the first one is low on health and the second one isn't, they can communicate and tell the first Wasp not to take the flag and go kill or go distract the enemy team while the second Wasp can swoop in, take a few shots and get out. Now, let's say the second Wasp has the flag, now there is a third Wasp coming in with low health and there is a health pack, those 2 Wasps can communicate and say let me take the health pack since I have the flag, etc... etc... @Spy: What went wrong with Last ImpacT? : Well Last Impact was trying, they were making attacks, but they weren't attacking as a team and they 100% didn't have good control of the drops, not even in their own base, but most of that was because PenGs were pretty much "all up" in their base, obliterating them and taking their supplies. So I think they tried but, PenGs had the communication, supplies, and were attacking collectively as a team. And pretty much just dominating them, PenGs mostly had people in Last Impact's base just taking them out, so it didn't really work out well for them, I think they basically just didn't stand a chance once PenGs took all those supplies and attacked together and dominated their base, killing them the second they spawned. But, at the end of the day Last Impact tried, so shoutout to them for trying and for the couple of good moves they were able to pull off. @Spy: Thank you for your time! Keep up doing the great job as a commentator. Conclusion Penguins showed great teamwork and nice control of the drops. This win allows Penguins to get into the playoffs and to fight for the unique paints “Acid” and "Gladiator". Last Impact fought well till the end and didn’t give up even though it wasn't their best format. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs! Thank you for reading this article! -

Review Major Qualifying Tournament – PenGs vs. Peppers
Spy replied to Spy in Major Qualifying Tournament – PenGs vs. Peppers Newspaper Archive
PenGs vs. Peppers Hello, eSports lovers & readers! Today, I will be reviewing the match between Penguins (PenGs) and Peppers played in the Major Qualifying Tournament (MQT). For those of you who don't know, MQT is a qualification tournament for upcoming Clan Championship. Top 16 clans from the RU clan rating system battle against each other and the Top 8 clans afterwards progress to the Clan Championship tournament. The aforementioned match has been played on Bobruisk map in Hard CTF Format. Peppers, who are the holders of exclusive paints “Impulse” and “Gladiator” challenged Penguins who are currently holding the "Gladiator" paint which they received for the 6th place in “Master of the Swords" tournament. These two teams faced each other in the Loser Bracket of Master of the Swords tournament. Unfortunately, this match hasn’t been streamed, but Peppers won this match 3:2. You can watch their recent match here. First Round Penguins started on the blue base and Peppers on the red. The round started with few attacks from Penguins and Peppers which both teams managed to stop without complications. Eight minutes before the round end, PenGs attacked Peppers’ base. @Ben, the new leader of Penguins, took the flag under the cover of @Daydreams and captured it. The score was 1:0 for PenGs. Penguins gave it another shot and tried to capture another flag, @Daydreams from Penguins team took the flag from the middle of the map and almost brought it into PenGs’ base, but 4 players from Peppers chased him and they managed to return the flag. Not more than 30 seconds after this attempt, @Ben grabbed the flag once again. However, this time Penguins left their own base exposed to attack which allowed @RaffaeIIo from Peppers to take the flag as well. Peppers managed to return the flag very easily since @Ben, Penguins’ flag holder, had no support with him while his counterpart had 2 bodyguards with him. Peppers captured the flag and tied the result to 1:1. But, the round was not over yet! For some reason, PenGs had no defenders in the base which allowed C-K-JI-E-P-O-3-H-U-K to take the flag and capture it. It also meant that Peppers grabbed the lead first time in the match. Penguins were determined to win. took the flag from the middle but his Double Armor has ran out and thus Peppers had no problems eliminating him. C-K-JI-E-P-O-3-H-U-K from Peppers managed to take Penguins’ flag once again. Penguins’ defenders failed to stop him from returning to his base. The result wass 3:1 for Peppers and there was only a minute left. took Penguins’ flag at the last minute, he came to his base but Penguins’ players didn’t let him capture. peppers came off victorious in this round, but the match was far from over! Second Round The Second round was probably less interesting then the first. Players came up with few indecisive attacks which both teams managed to stop. Three minutes before the round's end, @Daydreams from Penguins took the flag and almost reached his base, but 3 Peppers’ members managed to return the flag. @Daydreams with help from @FinalStage took the flag once again while C-K-JI-E-P-O-3-H-U-K did the very same thing. While @Daydreams was successfully returning to the Penguins’ base with enemy flag, returned the flag from Peppers. Penguins captured the first flag of the round. From this point onward, Peppers had nothing to lose in this round. PenGs had an advantage of one flag lead and there was only a minute left! Peppers attacked Penguins’ base once more, but Penguins repelled their attack. The round ended with the result 1:0 for PenGs. Third Round Both teams didn’t come up with any serious attacks till the mid-stage of the round. @Daydreams, PenGs’ member, approached the enemy from the right side of his base and took the flag from Peppers' base. @Ben and @FinalStage came to help him while Peppers’ members tried to eliminate him. Penguins’ players cleared out Peppers’ players who came after him and Ben captured it! The result was 1:0 for PenGs. Right after the attack, Peppers’ members invaded Penguins’ base, but Penguins successfully reflect all of them and cleared their base. Similar to the previous rounds, Peppers attacked enemy base in the attempt to capture a flag and tie the result. In the last 20 seconds, both teams took enemy flag, but both teams returned their own flags right away. The round ended with 1:0 victory for PenGs. Fourth Round Peppers had nothing to lose. If they wanted to at least tie the match, they had to win this round. Draw in fourth round would guarantee Penguins the victory. Peppers started the round with few aggressive attacks while Penguins pulled back to more defensive gameplay. Peppers managed to take the flag from the middle where the previous flag-holder was blocked and destroyed by Penguins’ players. However, when most of the players were destroyed and spawning, [member=Daydreams] successfully returned the flag. Four minutes left! @I3oris eliminated the defender of Peppers and took the flag. It was almost impossible to hold the flag any longer because 3 members of Peppers were chasing after him. [member=I3oris] intentionally let Peppers return the flag while [member=Daydreams] from Penguins was waiting behind for the flag to be returned to take it without a problem. [member=Daydreams] drove from the middle, but Peppers returned the flag. The score was still 0:0. A minute before the end, Peppers left their base without any defenders and tried to build up the pressure in Penguins' base. [member=Daydreams] easily grabbed the abandoned enemy flag, but on his way to the base, enemy destroyed him and returned the flag. Just 30 seconds before the end of the round, [member=I3oris] took the flag and succeeded in capturing it! The score was 1:0 for PenGs. Penguins won the last round with the result 1:0 and the match with the result 3:1. Interviews I also approached two players who took part in this match. @I3oris, who represents the clan Penguins and who represents the clan Peppers. Let's see what they have to say about their recent match. @Spy: Hello @I3oris! Yesterday, Penguins won the match against Peppers. In the first round, you captured one flag, however Peppers managed to capture 3 flags. What happened? Why do you think PenGs lost first round? @I3oris: We were confident of a victory yesterday and after capping 1 flag we were sure we would win without a problem. However, Peppers changed equipment more smartly than us and had clearly trained much more than we did. This is why we lost in the first round, in my opinion. I personally didn't know which turrets were good there but after experimenting in the first and second round, we realized what worked and what didn't. That's how we won. @Spy: It looks like something changed on your side after the first round. You started playing differently which resulted to the fact that Peppers were not able to capture even a single flag in the next rounds. What changed in your approach? @I3oris: In the second round, we took a more defensive approach to the game. We used two heavy hulls and an Isida. So for Peppers, taking a flag wasn't an easy task. However, our attack suffered due to the lack of support. Near the end of the round, our Isida started supporting us in attack and we were finally able to capture a flag. Round 3 was a very good round for us. While playing on the harder side, our Freeze managed to take one attacker out of the action each time, reducing enemy's attack strength and making it easier for our main defenders to deal with the attacks. In Round 4, we went full defense mode with our Thunder damaging them early before they reached our base. Our counter attack strategy really worked well and caught Peppers off guard when @Daydreams and I grabbed the flag near the end of the round. @Spy: Why do you think you won the match? @I3oris: I think we won the match because we were much better at tactics and our choice of turrets was better than theirs. Skill-wise, we were much better, probably because our players have much more experience in supply battles and hard format. @Spy: Thank you for answering my questions and good luck in your next matches! @Spy: Hello ! In the first round of the match, you were loosing but your team made a grandiose take-over when you captured three flags in a row. What changed after that first PenG's capture? : After losing that first flag, we lifted our heads up and started playing more like a team. Because of this we won that round. @Spy: After winning the first round, you failed to capture a single flag. What changed in your gameplay? Why you do you think you lost after such great start? : PenGs started to play very smart and and defeated us in the tactics. Their choices of equipment and they approach took us by surprise. @Spy: What do you think your team did wrong? : We didn't choose the correct modules, equipment and we kind of failed in teamwork. @Spy: What do you plan on doing differently in your next hard format match? : We are planning to look at our mistakes and analyze our previous games and battling style. We will try to not repeat those mistakes again. @Spy: Thank you for your time, best of luck in your upcoming matches! Conclusion The key to victory in Hard Format is attacking in groups. Penguins demonstrated how a great communication between the team members should look like and they rightfully won this match. Nevertheless, both teams played very well. In the end, Penguins once again proved they are currently one of the best English clans. Thank you for reading this article! -
Congratulations to the winners!
