As I see it, both Hornet and Hunter are worth upgrading. If you want a hull that goes well with Smoky, Hornet is the better option.

You should think about it from the developers' prespective, why should they invest money and resources into eSports if the modes featured in eSports have nothing in common with Matchmaking? Up until now, 90% of the players who participated in eSports activities are old players who take a part in eSports for years upon years. Old players leave the eSports scene but new players do not join eSports. But why is that? The answer is simple, eSports and MM are so different right now so there is almost zero chances for newbies to get the hang of it. Instead of depressetly hoping that future updates will be benefical for eSports, eSports will be taken into account mainly because it will be similar to MM. On top of that, new players will try eSports as it will be similar to the game they know. The Sports mode is going to be the new format for eSports, the one and only format in fact. Changes can always be made to the mode upon feedback from players. Yet again, the main issue with the old formats are: Not taken into account when the developers release new updates. Hard for new players to understand Have nothing to do with the current state of Tanki Online. I love the old formats much more than I like the new one, but eSports will not survive with them. This is exactly what this approach is trying to achieve. Even so, note that the main goal of those changes is to bring more players from the current player base into eSports. Bringing new players into the game is a different story. This all comes down to the low number of players in general and in eSports. By the way, from next season onward, clans will consist of 7 members and not 10.

No. As soon as you check the special missions tab, the missions that appear there will be tracked. However, you will have to visit the special missions tab on a daily basis in order to complete the daily "gift" mission;

I don't know the reasoning behind it but that's how it works with special missions. You must visit the "special" tab in the missions screen before completeing any mission otherwise your progress won't be tracked.

That's true. Unfortunately, the number of active eSports players is drastically low (mainly due to the removal of the Flash version & lost of interest in Tanki Online). The eSports administration tried making changes to the eSports system while keeping the current format but the number of players kept decreasing. There were 2 options left, either close eSports for good, or change eSports entierly and make it available for everyone (and by everyone, I mean everyone); Allow me to eloborate; the new "Sport" mode will be available to everyone from the rank of Warrant Officer 1 (the minimum rank that's required to play in PRO Battles). As soon as you join a "Sport" battle, your equipment will turn into MK8 automatically. That change alone will make eSports more accessable to everyone in the game as the only things players will have to purchase are turrets, hulls and supplies. The main issue about those formats is that they were never taken into account when the developers released updates. In many occasions, balance updates changed those formats from end to end, many times it even happened during tournaments. Weeks of trainings were gone to waste and clans had to adapt to drastic changes within a period of just a few days. Trust me, I am really sad about formats like Light being removed. However I realized it's for the better. If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

eSports will change drastically in 2022, one of the main and most important changes is the removal of the current eSports formats (i.eXP/BP, Light, Setups etc..). A new format will be featured next year which will be based on the regular MM settings.
