I don't accept that. You know what contribution players on a losing team made, and you could easily derive a fairer formula for distributing the funds. Let's face it, you couldn't have done a lot worse than the way it was calculated before.

The fairer battle fund distribution does not justify Matchmaker at all. They could have implemented this at any time without Matchmaker.

I've shot more flag carriers than you've had hot dinners, Mr Fawkes. And yes, you're right, Sepiidae. I should probably use Viking like you and practice more on other maps. I just have a Wasp technique that suits me and prefer the nip out, shoot, nip in quickly method. It's a shame that I have to relearn how to play because of this update.

Yeah, but if I'm on your side you'll score double.

One of the reasons people leave battles is because the random maps chosen for them don't suit their turret/hull. I just tried to find a suitable map for my Wasp/Shaft. This is how it went: 1. Waited 45s to join a Tribute battle  - left immediately 2. Waited 33s to join a Solkamsk battle :( - left immediately 3. Waited 50s to join a Bridges battle  - left immediately 4. Waited 1s to join a Future battle  - left immediately 5. Waited 34s to join a Year 2042 battle :o - left immediately 6. Waited 1s to join the same Year 2042 battle :o - left immediately 7. Waited 1s to join the same Year 2042 battle :o - left immediately 8. Waited 41s to join another Solkamsk battle :( - left immediately 9. Waited 56s to join an Industrial Zone battle  - left immediately 10. Waited 47s to join a Kungur battle  - left immediately 11. Waited 15s to join another Tribute battle  - left immediately 12. Waited 1s to join the same Tribute battle  - left immediately 13. Waited 39s to join another Kungur battle  - left immediately 14. Waited 1s to join a Brest battle  and completed my mission. And so now I've completed my mission, it would be nice to go and relax in another sniper map for an hour, but of course I can't do that anymore. So, it's frustrating and slow completing missions, and then there's no way to go and enjoy yourself afterwards. Whoever designed Matchmaker - please read this - it's why a lot of people will leave. I'll probably leave too, but I may wait a week, just to see if you decide to can this update before it's too late.

It never bothered me, I have to say. Magnums, however...

The point is that some maps - not many - suit shafts. If you can't defend against them, chose one of the other maps - there are plenty. I avoid maps for this reason - why can't you? .

Yeah, he's said he'll be ok for the world cup, so it can't be that serious. Reminds me of a match I saw at Wembley many years ago. You may remember the incident on TV. David Beckham slid in hard for a 50/50 challenge, and the defender wasn't going to pull out. Everyone in the stadium heard the crack. The crowd just went silent, and we felt a bit sick. The paramedics come on and did their best, but it was pretty hopeless. He'd snapped his alice band in two places.

Look, there are reasons why we choose maps. It's because different maps suit different tanks. Large, slow hulls perform best in smaller maps, and vice versa. Similarly, turrets like Shaft require places you can get a good view and cover (Brest and Highways are best, Desert and Polygon are just about ok). Turrets like Ricochet suit maps with perpendicular walls that you can bounce the plasma off. So how does Matchmaker work for these? If I join a battle with Wasp/Shaft (my favourite), are you going to put me in a Massacre or Tribute battle? I'd leave immediately and keep trying until I was put in a suitable map. I'm sure I'll find a map eventually, but it's going to be a very frustrating, time-wasting process. Is this really what you want?

From the crazy weekend: 22 May: 125 SB, 3 days premium, 3500 crystals
  18. 400 kills completed :-) Stats: Kills: 452 Deaths: 20 K/D: now 5.31 (was 5.26) Time in game: +3 hours Crystals obtained: 6630 Gold Boxes caught: 0 Supplies used: 196 (mostly DA/DD) Some people are complaining about the number of supplies they needed. The containers/Premium you win should cover those.

  21. I've analyzed over 200 containers I've opened, and I reckon each container on average is worth the equivalent of 2500 crystals plus 105 supplies. (Equivalent means you cash in each gold box and you sign in each premium day you receive). So, for crystal junkies, the Crazy Weekend prizes work out as: 400 kills: 7500 crystals + 315 supplies 800 kills: 20000 crystals + 654 supplies 2000 kills: 37000 crystals + 1265 supplies + 1 noob paint (note: each premium day is worth 2500 crystals and 43 supplies, of course) Of course you may be luckier that that with your containers. One of my accounts averages 3500 crystals per container, but on the other hand another account has received closer to 1500. 2500 is the overall average. Anyway, I hope this helps some folks decide whether or not to participate in the event.
  22. Two thoughts of a Wasp/Shaft sniper: 1. Dictator's much easier to kill than Viking - it often only takes one shot, and it's a bigger target too. I'd incease the armour on Dictator. 2. Magnum's my biggest fear (after other shafts of course), but I've nothing but admiration for the skill of those guys who can land it on a sixpence.. The annoying thing is the splash damage from a wayward shot, which is too powerful. I suggest you reduce the splash damage radius of Magnum to ensure that it's a fair balance between power and skill.
