Last Sunday, September 2nd, fresh tournament in the ESL Tanki Cup series was held for 14 teams that registered for the event, and the winners are: 1st place: Peppers (300,000 crystals for the team) 2nd place: Duplo (200,000 crystals for the team) 3rd place: Eternity Advanced (100,000 crystals for the team) The next tournament will be played on September 9th, and you have time until 13:30 UTC on the day of the event to register, with matches starting 14:00 UTC. Please be aware, that the next tournament will be played in a new format -- 4x4 in CTF, and it’s not the usual XP/BP. So here’s what gear you can and can not use in the tournament: heavy hulls are forbidden; maximum 2 medium hulls are allowed; maximum 2 close range turrets are allowed; maximum 1 Isida turret is allowed per team; Magnum is not allowed to be used. The tournament will be played on the following maps: Sandal, Pass, Station, Valley, Zone, Short Bridge and Atra. Patch Update #525 - Released 6th September 2018 Turret balance changes:Smoky:Increased the maximum hit range; Improved critical damage; Increased middle-to-long range effectiveness. Striker:Improved the starting speed for rockets; Improved the angle speed for rockets; Reduced target acquiring time for rockets. PRO-Battle List changes:In addition to custom player names for battles, original map names will be shown too; Maps in Battle List are now sorted by the time of their creation, from the earliest down to the oldest battle. Small changes in Matchmaking mechanism:Reduced waiting time for solo players; Improved prediction accuracy for waiting time; Introduced rank limits for players in battle groups: now all players in the group must be at maximum 5 ranks above or below the group’s creator; Fixed the visual indication of game mode for players in battle groups. Friend List updates for Matchmaking:Added indicators “in battle” and “in battle group” for Friend List; Added option to invite friends into battle group even if they are already in battle. Tankers! With the morning restart tomorrow, 02:00 UTC September 6th the long-awaited improvements will come to Matchmaking, Smoky and Striker will receive balance changes, and other, smaller changes will be added to the game. Let’s go over all parts of the update: Matchmaking Improvements Matchmaking will find battles for solo players faster, and the prediction accuracy for the wait time will increase. Situations where the actual waiting time is much longer than the estimated wait time will disappear. Rank limits will be added to Battle Groups: all players in the group must be 5 ranks below or above the group’s creator.Example: if your rank is Third Lieutenant, players in your group can be from Warrant Officer 1 to Lieutenant Colonel. Friend List:When a friend is playing in a MM battle, next to their name in the Friend List will be written “In battle”. When a friend is in a battle group, next to their nickname in the Friend List will be added “In battle group”. Now it will be possible to invite friends into battle groups even if they are in battle at that moment. If the player agrees to join the group, they will leave battle and join the battle group. PRO-Battle List Changes Next to custom battle names in Battle List you will now see the names of maps, so it will be easier to find your favorite map. Battles in the list will be sorted by the time of creation, in a descending order. This way, the new battles will always be at the top of the list. Turret Balance Changes Smoky Smoky will become more viable in a long range fight. To do this, we will slightly increase its critical damage and the maximum hit range, and significantly increase turret’s effectiveness at middle-to-long range, so the damage fall off will be noticeably weaker and will start at a longer range than now.
