  1. yup. in future comments I dulled my original response. in my opinion the titan vs titan battles are worse. playing it bit more... was it nerfed to the ground? no. i probably over reacted. but it was nerfed. and I'm confused why something like hornet and hunter are still as they are.
  2. Edit: Because of the ease of all players having supplies activated. To remove that ability entirely with a game effect in my view does offer either a severe advantage to the one/ severe disadvantage to the other. This would be different if use of supplies at all times was rare. To be attacked by an opponent not equipped with drugs, disabling your drug and then its a fair fight. But this is hardly the case. Hunters I see regularly have drugs equipped. Come up to an opponent disable theres, and kill them. Firebird Hunter is devastating and seems to be a favoured choice in battles. Along with many other good combos. So yes, to have a game where drugs are readily available to all, and then cancel that for some tanks in a head to head combat. That will disadvantage them. Now if that was the sole ability of hunter, without any of the rest. No freeze, no deactivating ODs, no dropping rugby and flags. You just lost your drugs. And couldn't use drugs again for 30 seconds. That would not be so broken.
  3. Because sometimes the hunter just survives the gap distance? I don't understand your point wolverine. Ok. a certain percentage of time hunter will be killed by a mid range or lange range gun before it gets close. A certain percentage of time it will have double armour equipped. Drug a repair kit. Have a drone or something. And survive to get close to you. Interesting point with functioning without supplies. I'm not sure it is going to get you anywhere in this argument. Years ago I remember it being a point of pride almost to not use drugs. Drugs had to be worked for, bought, spared. And being good without them was sign of skill. Now, I entirely believe drugs and supplies are in this game and all players need to be using them (with slight nuances that could make for exceptions). But drugs are highly easy to come by now. I get roughly 200 of each drug each week with minimal effort. I have stores of over 10, 000 of each drug. (all points here excluding the case of repairs). So I have it very easy in my ability to double the strength of my tank in any number of ways. If I wanted to I could not exhaust my supply of drugs. Even with an average of 4 deaths or less in a game. And the amount of time to reenable drug activation. Not to mention the times I simply pick up the drugs... Why are we fixated anymore on not using supplies? I have thousands of them. To not use them is tactical negligence. I certainly agree hunter and hornet need to be looked at. Viking and titan I feel are more of a "go somewhere else" effect in field of battle. Everything at some point will catch you off guard. Sure could reduce just the overall damage output. Even 10% less on viking, you ll still get damage and kills. Hornet completely ignoring protection and double armour ugh. Yeah that hurts. etc Not entirely sure my suggestions here. I could see any number of things working. Deactivate the drugs, but let them drug again. Its not like the game allows you to use all drugs at once anyways. They can't reactivate all drugs they had. They could just say activate double armour every time they got zap. Or just get rid of the freeze effect entirely. They get zapped lose drugs can't drug again. But they can move. Not sure the right amount to remove from hunter. The whole deal of dropping flags and rugby is a deal breaker too for me. If that is the case. Then give dropping flags and rugby ability to other tanks. A hunter and titan in effect can cancel a titan dome. So how bout dictators also drop flags now. And you can't drive with a flag or rugby through a dome. You ll just drop it. So for 20 seconds, a dome would protect a team from being scored on. ... ... does this sound overpowered wolverine? To let dictator and titan dome to drop the flag and rugby from holders. If so. Then same opinion should be held that hunter can do it. So share the love of rugby and flag dropping. E_polyp I relate to what you are saying. Not sure exactly what needs to be done. But we can't have hulls in game that have 10 good abilities. And others that have 2 good abilities that are easily countered. Devs will do what they will. But player base should certainly make it known what the issues are.
  4. Yes I meant alternate route. Oh, yes. absolutely. The worst part is the new titan vs titan battles. Two enemy titans with OD. You with OD. Useless.
  5. Hmm. I'll grant you that I no longer think titan OD is ruined. I may have overreacted. Oh i totally agree you want range from your dome and where the enemies are. Titan dome is most useful with ranged weapons. Not if you are a titan freeze etc. I have no issue with that. Well, I did recently buy hunter... so I dunno. Certainly need more practise. But am I confusing quantity with quality wolverine? Hunter disables all drugs. There is quality in disabling a triple drugged opponent. Hunter makes you unable to drug again for sometime. There is a quality element involved in having you're drugs fully equipped with double speed, armour and damage. Against an opponent that is unable to double any of their stats in turn. Hunter freezes you more instantaneously and effectively than a freeze can. You become a better freeze than freeze. There is quality to that. Hunter deactivates many different ODs'. Um. That is quality. You were a titan with a dome? No you aren't. You dropped a bomb? No you didn't. etc. Hunter has lots of quality stuff. I respect if there is some skill involved to pull it off. So not only is all of the stuff a quality ability. You get it all. With more stuff that I didn't even go into. Hunter is quality, and quantity. Sure, they reduced the range. By 5 meters. If you find opponents hiding all within a dome, and a hunter goes to centre of dome to deactivate it. They will zap most if not all the tanks within that dome. So, ok there is a delay and in that delay the hunter can die. Vikings die during their activation, especially if the turret is a splash damage turret at close range to enemy. etc. Wasps die all the time before the bomb goes off but it still goes off. I can escape wasp bombs decent amount of time. Thanks for responses wolverine. I'll need more practise with hunter to fully appreciate what you mean. But seeing it in use around me, seems ok! Maybe lots of those hunters have perfected their skills ?
  6. Yup. Been playing bit more with titan. I dunno. I guess maybe the 90% protection is still enough and the repairing isn't necessary.. But I really don't like the titan vs titan aspect now. A titan can deactivate another titan? Titan is a half breed of hunter? Urgh. So titan, hunter, hornet and mammoth Hard block a titan. Anyways. Yup!! Hunter was given a 5 meter reduction on the range right? But it can still do a lot of stuff right? Theres a whole list of stuff out there and all it takes aways, etc... So if they thought dome with repair and damage reduction (2 things) was too strong. And were like, ok lets take the repair away and just keep the damage reduction... lol I think they can find it in themselves to look at hunter and be like, what 1 thing of the 10 things it can do could we balance out? haha Wolverine what one thing would you be willing to take away from the hunter OD? Not sure what kind of a buff you want yellowghetto. I mean right now, I think wasp is mostly underdeveloped. And maybe dictator. Ok, I'll agree if they nerf hunter too harshly into the ground... no one would use it. But if everyone agreed hornet, hunter, and titan had some really strong abilities that needed addressing... we are still waiting for hornet and hunter to align themselves. Viking has some downsides... but yeah guess its strong too. Anyways, I'm mellowing out of the issue. In fact, personally I wonder if the 0 damage on spawn itself helped outwit the problem of the dome. Domed titans can't just set up camp and annihilate a based. The 0 damage on spawn sort helped with that itself right? Anyways. Maybe I wrote this too fast, and more meant, explanation of why hornet and hunter were not addressed.

    Oh! didn't know this. k thanks Yes, actually Ill recheck. But believe this is true. I'm doing 0 damage against new spawns. But its aleo mostly a problem when i spawn myself. Hmm. Ill check this out more.
  8. Thanks for response diesel. I'm more or less on board with what you are saying to an extent. Here is what I would like to add to what you said: Isida) yes it does a far better job then isida. But it wasn't the only thing that hurt isida. They nerfed isida's heal ability already. They halved it didn't they? And boosted it's attack power? So I don't think in itself the titan dome was a be all end all slight against isida. Isida was a mobile repair kit. Dome was stationary. You aren't guaranteed any titans on your team. But hopefully you have 1 maybe 2. Same with isida. You aren't guaranteed to have an isida on team. But hopefully you do. So, domes only help long range turret. Nothing replaces an isida combo with a mobile attacker against base. So an isida tailing and healing an attacking freeze, fire, twins, hammer, rico. That remains very strong to this day... in my view. Um, titan dome in enemy base... maybe we are not in same understanding of this topic. I certainly understand your point. Problem with dome in enemies base is you open yourself to at the very least: enemy mammoth and hunters. Why put your dome right next to a mammoth that will kill you? Why put it right in spot of a hunter that can disable it? But if you use it against a team without a mammoth or hunter... ok. I feel you want to be perched up high on a bridge like in highways. Or just outside the base. So when the mammoths come at you, or hunters, you shoot them down. Dome certainly created a lock down effect in that way. Sure. But thats part of its power. Admittedly, I think siege is a useless mode. Is titan overpowered on it? I'll grant this.. yeah maybe it is. Until you think about hunters, mammoths and hornets that counter it fairly effectively. Striker and other splash damage units also shine here. The changes to titan could have worked in tandem with changes to other ODs, but as is... you've just hurt titan. And made titan vs titan battles a lot worse overall, even more imbalanced. And done nothing to balance hornet or hunter. Viking I realize in hindsight maybe I'm wrong. You still block 90% of damage? Just no heal? So I'll have to watch this more. If viking does 500% damage or whatever it is. And you block 90% I'll have to check back. But for instance. If you are doing 1000 damage as viking isida. And you suddenly do 5000 damage ... with 90% blocked you still do 500 damage and that will kill a domed titan in a fair amount of time. Guess there is more to wait and see about. But the changes don't feel like they were made with everything to be considered that needed to be.
  9. At least I bought viking, wasp and hunter on sales. I'll get them upgraded to M4 eventually. Not stuck with titan anymore... But this was depressing to see. Nerf hornet, and nerd hunter for sure. Viking I'm not sure. Titan was definitely a hard counter to viking. And it was good to have something viking couldn't just maul through. Wasp if it gets close can still defeat a viking... but yuck yuck yuck.

    Vulcan Glitch.

    This has been confirmed by other vulcans I've talked to in game. So we start shooting, and two problematic things can happen. One, we are shooting an enemy tank, our bullets are connecting but no damage appears. Nothing is happening. We have to stop shooting, rewind the barrel and shoot again. Ok so this might not be new, and other turrets might have same problem sometimes. You join a game. Start shooting but you aren't doing damage. This is the new problem and bigger. In several games, I'll start to shoot with vulcan and the damage will light up as white 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0... What should be happening when my bullets land is depending on drugs and their double armour. Something like I start shooting and numbers start flying similar to 170, 130, 150, 150, 140, 80, 80, 67, 147. 2 ways now my vulcan glitches. The 0 0 0 0 usually resolves itself by respinning the barrel but ugh.

    So titan was nerfed to the ground... and nothing about hunter, viking, or hornet? I get no defines from hornet OD but at least the dome would repair some damage if I wasn't one shot by hornet, Shaft, magnum, gauss, rail, thunder etc. But now what do I do against viking OD that I had some protection from if at least held double armour. Another titan now nerfs me instantly? Instead of creating a neutral zone for 20 seconds. With 3-5 seconds of advantage to one side. It's now. You had 20 second adv? aha because of siege now I GET 20 second adv. TF??????? Mammoth can kill me instantly. Hunter disarms me cancels my OD. So dome... might still save me from a wasp bomb. OK. noted. Dictator might also be a hull countered by titans dome. Is this because of siege mode? 1 mode cripples an OD and makes everything else great, but you don't balance the hornet or long overdue nerd to hunter which has 50 different abilities? Sigh. You gone done messed this up tankionline. This is pathetic.
  12. Opening the container and finding 1 000 000 is probably a long shot. But I've got up to over 1, 000 000 twice now.
  13. OK, so I have the required crystals. I didn't have the opening container to get it. With 1. 000. 000 crystals. I waited for a 50% sale. This is roughly my plans. I already have m4 vulcan. m4 dictator and close to m4 titan. and fully upgraded driver drone. Gonna upgrade: titan a little closer. with 1 maybe 2 upgrades make it 18 with no speed up. Or buy the speed up and pay for 19. Upgrade engineer drone from 12 to 13. Brutus one level as well. He's in single digits sale. Ok so big purchases: Twins and Isida for turrets. Hulls I bought wasp, hunter, and viking. I'll upgrade these to 4 out of 20. Maybe 5. I bought some repairs. about 1000. I got protections from magnum and shaft. OK this last one has been huge for my gameplay. I've already noticed HUUGE improvements. I can't do anything about one shot hornet battles that kill me. But magnum and shaft both have such high damage that there is no counter play against them. Same with freeze... I didn't get freeze... maybe I shoudlhave. The thing with freeze, is my options are to be mindful and keep them away from me and shoot them. With magnum and shaft, the shots can come at any time from any where. And its a huge dent in my gameplay. Now I have them permanently equipped and in last 10 games, the shaft triple shot, and the teams with 3 magnums on them. Suddenly I have protection against just under half of my opponents at any given time. I mean its staggering how much less damage I'm taking from these 2 turrets. Previously my protection of choice was m3 thunder, rail, fire. Not very upgraded, but I focussed on other things. turret. hull. drone etc. So i Kept the thunder in the rotation, and then swapped in magnum and shaft. It's been great. Think that is the list: 1000 repairs, Twins. Isida. Wasp. Hunter. Viking. Shaft protection. Magnum Protection. Upgrade for these, and brutus, engineer, and titan. Oh, and alterations. I'm gonna get all twin alterations. The bfg I feel is least useful. But just gonna grab it at 50 off. Now that I have these, I can upgrade them at my leisure. Trick was getting them all half off.

    oh yes, i hate the over heat bug. but I'm def having fun with this new vulcan... c p . assault. rugby. assault on highland as red. I've never got so many kills. I just find a place perched up above the blue point and lose count of my kills.

    hmm. fair enough. this is my alt. I've played all turrets except a few because of ... well lack of interest and lack of skill? I do not play magnum, striker and rail. Magnum I did try but I found it was boring. But as for skill.. maybe my ability to calculate the shot was bad. Rail gun was for the longest time a no go because I couldn't stand the load up... now I'm on vulcan. The king of waiting to shoot. I feel the pain... but there is more to it. Also, people could get more with less. If you have 2-3 turrets and hulls, of course they ll be worse off and not m3 as quickly. But oddly enough... I mean I've had my vulcan for a while. It unlocks m2 like 5 ranks ago, I feel by my rank people can get m3 vulcan. Anyways.

    Hmm. Well as a pure bred Vulcan. I will chime in. I play nothing but vulcan titan. So this update had a 100% effect on my game play. My rank is the one you see. My vulcan is topped out m2 = m3. With titan m1 topped out = m2. OK, so at first when I was just playing after the update I was devastated. The spin up time is bad. It doesn't get better as you play more. Most of the time, I just load up my barrel no matter what is happening in the game. There is never a time where I'm not either shooting, or loading. Don't travel in the middle of the map just waiting to shoot... something will happen and you need to be 1 or 2 seconds into your pre spin. Now obviously you will get times where you pre spin start to shoot... and nothing is there to shoot at. And worse you may be giving away your position -> incoming. Just stop the shooting and pre spin again. There is more in-depth game play here... but essentially, just always be in the middle of a pre spin. Thats what vulcan has become. Now... will you die? Of course. Spawn kills happen. They have always happened. This doesn't change the advantage any tank has in its prime on spawners. Freezes up close kill new spawns. So do magnums from far away when they have your spawn zone covered. I have other accounts. I can own spawners with most turrets just by playing to its strengths and getting the first shots. So vulcan being dead in many cases... well ok, but is that a fault? Now as for the roles. DM can be painful... but I've done alright. Granted I only play missions, and only play dm when i have dm missions. Otherwise, I play team games, and vulcan is still competitive here. It's a support turret. Corners are great. Like Iran corners. is actually quite viable. Open spaces are good. Use mines to block yourself off like you always have. Find the spots that are good on the map for you. One of my new spots I like is on the big map.... omg brain freeze just the really big W one? with castle like structures. Newer one. Anyways, there is a ledge on either of the far horizontal sides, with valleys in front and buildings in centre. You go on those ledges, mine them off, and pick off enemies like crazy. You can't necessarily charge everywhere... but hey. Ok another thing I'm doing amazing in... CP. I can demolish in a cp game. Tribute? dear lord I own tribute. G T F O. get the face out. tee hee hee. ok so basically, if you already have teammates attacking a point lets say, and there are 4 enemies, and 2 of your freezes. Let's say those 2 freezes go in do heavy heavy damage but both die. 4 surviving enemies. I've literally had this happen to me 5-6 times within this last week. 2 freezes or fires I guess go in maybe support thunders that I can't see and soften up the enemies. And in this context and other, I'll be pre spinning i shoot into the enemy horde, and I just watch the red numbers pop up on my screen. Kill. Kill, Kill. Kill. On tribute I love taking the long bridge with my vulcan. Prefer being on high ground shooting across.. but I mean, this turret is not weak CP tribute. No I can't control maps... but I'm learning how to play on them. I can rake in kills just saying. Do not use vulcan in ways that vulcan is no longer suitable. If a face off happens that is not in your favourite... sure you die. Stick with teammates don't go lone ranger thinking you can just do whatever you please. And if you do... find the spots on maps that now favour vulcan. Iran has them. Most maps do, but you don't maybe have free reign as much. Don't charge enemy base anymore as much. And if you do, pick a spot where you have clear view of everything. Wolfenstein I still invade, but dear lord I will never go to the centre of that map underneath the arch to enter enemy camp. You go in from sides. With teammates, or by yourself. Cover your bases. Then you just watch the red numbers float. I know the turret changed. Yes pre spinning is a thing you have to do now. I'm not convinced of buying the alts. But the extra shooting time... oh my. Ok so like I said with the getting 4 kills instantly after freezes soften them up when they are are in fixed points like control points, or defending a flag maybe. Ok so I can do that in my first 3-4 seconds of firing time. And then I have 6-7 seconds of ammo to just kinda shoot as I please. I just continue shooting and try to get into position of these 4 suckers who are about to respawn with me barreling down on them. I think I read someone say their kill to death ratio rocketed up to 6-1. I see similar. In my good games I get 5-7 -1 k/d ratio. Admittedly when I'm forced to play dm I probably have some of my worst games.. but sometimes its just weak competition and I do quite well also. What I will say, is that after a week or so of this, maybe more, I'm adapting. My vulcan still competes and does well for me. I have 975 k saved up, saving fora million, but I am in no rush to replace my prized turret.

    I have about 380 k saved up. A little bit higher I guess than it would be without these containers. I got 4 25k rewards. And then a couple 10k and 3.5k. So I guess 250 I'd be without the containers. Well maybe +20k from what was taken away from half my weekly crystal rewards. I have m2 vulcan maxed to m3. I have m1 titan maxed to m2. What I'm wondering is... is there a vulcan titan kit at some point ? I see vulcan mammoth, but not sure if I missed a vulcan titan. I feel like I was planning on upgrading my titan to m3 when I reach that rank in a few ranks. But now I wonder should I just fight on with my current tank, and maybe by the time the m3 kits are out, I could really go for one, and upgrade to m4? Should I buy another combo like viking isida, or save for something else. I just don't know how to spend my crystals. But I really like the idea of getting a fast m4.

    Let's Discuss "Rugby mode"

    I find it hard to notice where the ball is in rugby mode. When no one has the ball, that green ball showing where to find it is a great idea and helpful. But when someone does have it, ... I don't know if it is my team with possession, or the enemy. And sometimes I have just absolutely no clue where it is. With ctf... sometimes this happened too, but you had clues. A big shiny orb of blue or red that lit up everything within a few meters for you to track it down. The ball in rugby mode is faint and see through. Maybe on purpose? I have a titan as my only tank... and I can score more often than I figured I should be able to. So maybe this problem of not knowing where the ball is is actually helping me to score. But I find it overly frustrating. I like the no stalemates like you have in ctf. Everyone is always converging. It's funny when goals come. And it is very easy to score because anyone who decides their odds of getting gold are low... can easily get a point in no time. I mean I dunno. It's not my favourite mode yet. I haven't even played all the maps yet. To know how the maps are designed for it. But yeah I dunno. Anywyas.
  23. Well I mean I'm a rank above you... I play it. But my vulcan is currently at m3, it is still fairly strong at this rank. I got m3 vulcan at your rank... it was very powerful, and really still is. Fire protect is needed, I just got one on sale. at 26% protection now. Still accustoming myself to the longer duration of fire, it's slight but the cooling down is faster now when i stop firing to cool off. I like vulcan, but yes, it's not really any specialty niche really. There is one thing I'll say for vulcan, of all turrets to have a double isida backing them up, vulcan is the strongest. You give 2 isidas with any other turret (except maybe isida - 3 isidas is very strong) But I think vulcan really even rivals twins at this stage. Vulcan with 2 isidas is continuous fire just like twins. That's what you experience and it is a joy. You get better range than a twins, and with twins I find missing 25% of shots is more than likely, I mean nifty manoeuvring at a decent range most people can dodge a couple twins bullets now and then. But vulcan targeting is very good except for extremely close turns but I'm fairly good with those too. Anyways, respect to vulcans. :)

    My screen name is vulcanrage. However, there is a vital piece of information about vulcan that bewilders me. But I think I know... but I do not know if I know. So what is the self damage rate? Here is what I have always thought... M0 vulcan self heating damage = damage of firebird m0 M1 Vulcan self damage = m1 firbired m2 vulcan- m2 firebird m3 vulcan = m3 firebird. But!!!!! now I'm thinking something else. M0 vulcan self heating damage = after burn of firebird m0 in reverse. m1 vulcan = m1 firebird afterburn reverse. m2 vulcan = m2, m3 vulcan =m3 firebird. So does having an m2 vulcan mean that my m0 titan would take m2 firebird damage? I think yes, Please, I'd like very exact information as possible. I mean, it's my turret.. and I don't know.
