    Turret Idea: Tomahawk (v2.0)

    Description in Garage Long range launcher with one HEAT missile. Holding down the firing button will activate an optic guidance system and launch the missile. Tomahawk was created by Striker veterans who wanted an alternative to locking-on to a target. These tankers did not like machinery and fancy electronic wizardry getting in the way of an important shot. Construction began on a platform that could carry a single missile, who's payload included a HEAT shaped charge which can deal far greater and more consistent damage at any range as opposed to conventional explosive filler. The tankers also included a full stabilizer for the launcher, so bumps and jolts wouldn't get in the way of tracking a target. The 360o tracking system is by far its most innovative feature, you can choose to fire it un-guided by just hitting the firing button. Firing the ATGM in optic guidance mode requires you to use a sniper scope and enter into "Siege Mode", taken right off a Shaft by holding down the firing button, at which point the missile will automatically fire and you guide it manually, all you have to do is keep your target in the cross-hair of the scope until it is reached by the missile. It does take some time to reload the missile. Reference Video Clip Stats not mentioned: Firing delay until automatic fire in optic-guidance scope mode (sec): 1.1 (non up-gradable) (I didn't include turret rotation & projectile speed cos that's above my pay-grade but the speed I was thinking is in-between normal striker & uranium alteration, fast enough to be deadly, but slow enough to be able to carefully control it. Pros: High damage. Damage is totally consistent. Damage does not change with range Virtually infinite range. Gun stabilizer No laser sight Optic-guidance scope is able to move fully up and down, unlike shaft having a vertical limit in scope mode, only this full-transition can be done in optic-cope mode, arcade mode is only horizontal like normal turrets. No Self-Damage. Low recoil Arcade (un-guided) Mode. Cons: Long reload ​Slow missile speed Low impact force In optic-guidance Scope mode, the missile requires a short time before it's automatic launch. Missile launches automatically once in scope mode, you can't "Hold your shot" like you can with shaft. No splash damage. Using the optic-guidance Scope requires your tank to enter into an immobile "Siege Mode" like shaft.
  2. If you look on the wiki about overdrive, than Hornet, you'll see it says that enemy spider protection is ignored by the hornet's placed mines, I didn't understand it correctly.

  4. I think I read the wiki entry wrong, but here it is "Ignoring the protection extends to damage from burning and mines."It could be talking about "Spider" protection, but I'm not sure what it means.

  8. I'm thinking the point limit on the mode is raised (its already kinda low) and a team gets more points when allies are actually on the CP. For maps with alot of points, the relitive "extra" points for controling a CP will be less, and for maps with a small number of CPs a bit more so it's equal.

  10. I've never heard that complaint lol, I don't see a problem with it as is. This would only make a small amount of the targets have an extra visual, and most of it is transparent space anyway.

There I was in Massacre in the walled-in corner, sitting with my titan and shaft, getting a few kills with snipping, using DD and overdrive, than BOOM, removed for inactivity, as I didn't move my hull, but literally moved everything else, I absolutely agree, it needs to be updated. No, you'll get removed if you don't move your hull, same for mammoth, I liked to camp with my mag back in the day, I shot a few rounds, adjusting angle and power, was getting kills, but got removed just cos I didn't move my hull.
  13. True, we already have some indicators at long range, but in my opinion, there a bit small and not very threatening, but if you see something in a red cross-hair view, your gamer instinct knows you should kill it. Just my train of thought.

    I just came back from where 2 battles a ago I literally captured a flag using mammoth (depends on how well you can use it). Yes I would do a capturing mission, as that is the point of the game, and there is a reward involved, It might be tough, but as I said, I can do it. What I won't do is go out of my way to do something I would prefer not to do, and others probably would too, as they have no garentee that anyone else would either.

    Depend on what the X is, X is only a variable. I didn't say trolls would be a big problem, but something to consider. No, I wouldn't pass it along, because the game is called CAPTURE THE FLAG not HOT-POTATO flag. THAT'S THE POINT! If you add such a big bonus, the mode wouldn't be the same, and not in any good way I can imagine. Its different from capturing the flag, I thought this was picking up the flag, and for your information, I don't need a light hull, I can still capture a flag, even though your grandmother would beat me in a drag race, because I play how I feel is best.

    Because the point is not to pick up the flag, the point is to CAPTURE it! I wouldn't give it to my next teammate, you crazy? I would try to capture it, I thought that was the point. And yeah sure, you solved the problem right there, "lets all use light hulls" when OUR job WE want to do, and do best is defending, among other things, and yeah, if we like heavy, we totally didn't divert all our crystals to heavy hulls, the ones we like best. And we totally know how to use light hulls, aside from the fact we're been using heavys for a majority of the time, I dunno why... oh yeah, its because we like them, and even if we don't "contribute" to picking up a flag uselessly, we do our own jobs. the "Everyone doing X" mission will almost never work, theres going to be that one troll that won't do X on purpose, than there's me, who won't do X as its not my job.

    if that was in the game, that would neglect and put defenders at a disadvantage, and heavy hulls in general, as well as team misconduct if everyone is fighting over their chance to pick up the flag.

    To be fair, I am not addicted to the game... (I'm addicted to I&S :ph34r:) But, I'm confused... "players that aren't at the very top get rewarded more than those that end lower" What does that mean? could you clarify? :wacko: "I think the main incentive in team battles should be for the winning team members to get more than the losing team. Then Stars should be given more fairly." I actually disagree, my preference would be not to reward more depending on the winning team as a huge factor, but rather how well you played, not on what team you where, so I think, even if you are on the losing team, but still played as well as the guy in first on the winning team (so getting about equal score), you should see about equal rewards. You shouldn't be deprived of winnings you worked just as hard to get than the winners on the other team, just because your team didn't. Does just do to show that everyone's idea of "fair" is a little different.
