Another problem I ran into when using HTML5. While sitting in the lobby, I was checking out some of the battles. I clicked on a player who was in battle to see his profile and the drop down menu didn't appear. I tried a few others, same result.

Yes. Did you know that when you sneeze, mucus can come speeding out of your nose and mouth at a whopping 100 mph?

I live in USA and have an air conditioned tank with super heated tank skin that melts ice instantly.

I'd go back to bed. What if you were on the beach on a warm summer day, a balmy wind came up and it started snowing.

I was just playing on HTML5 with my headphones on. The volume was set for the battle sounds. The audible sound that tells you when a supply is ready for use, blasted out my eardrums. I adjusted the volume for that but couldn't hear the battle sounds. I took off my headphones and discovered that the audible sound was rattling stuff on my desk (I have external speakers). Very annoying and harsh on the ears.

I've tried that, too. I seems it's still in its infancy and needs a lot of growing up to do.

Why was Tanki Online dubbed the name "Tanki?" It sounds very childish, like a parent giving a 2 or 3 year old a toy tank and saying, "Hey! Look I got you for your birthday! A new tanki! Come on, let's play with your new tanki. See? The wheels roll around when you push it. And see this? It's a cannon and when you push it the cannon turns back and forth. Isn't that cool?" When I first saw the name Tanki Online, that's the way I had pictured it. A young child's game involving a tank. I had passed the game up several times because of the name. It wasn't until curiosity got the best of me and looked into a little deeper did I realize that wasn't the case at all. So, why the name "Tanki"?

I've thought about downloading the TO Client, but I've been reading too many horror stories about glitches, such as, not loading, dropping players from battle for no reason, unable to open it and many others. Most of the solutions to these problems, as I have read, is to uninstall and install again which will drop some personal game data. Which data, I'm not sure. Some sang praises of Client, while others say it's the pits. I tried downloading Standalone Flash Player, but all I get is 1/4 of my screen is a silver frame with a black screen within the frame. Below the black screen, but still on the silver frame, are buttons for reverse, forward, fast forward and pause (stop). This looks like something for playing videos or music, not something you would play a game, such as Tanki, on.

I did just that on Osa. In fact, if you look on the wiki maps for Osa winter you will see the pit I drove into. I came off the ramp in the pic with my turret turned, looking for a sniper and I drove right into the pit.

Wages in Russia are much lower than the US. Russia is recovering from its second economic crisis since 1991. It takes years for a country to recover. Wages are coming back up and inflation is going down. There were several catalysts that happened all at the same time that caused Russia's economic decline. If you want to know more about it, do some research.

I copied and pasted.

This may not be the stupidest thing I've seen, but it certainly was the funniest I've seen in a long time. Wish I would have gotten a screenshot of this, but I was laughing so hard I forgot. On occasion when one tank is ghosting beneath another the one ghosting will spawn causing the materialized tank to get off balanced. Well, this is what happened between a Mammoth and a Wasp. The Wasp was ghosting and materialized under the Mammoth. The Mammoth was trying to get off the Wasp and the Wasp was trying to get out from under the Mammoth. The couldn't seem to get their movements coordinated. They finally separated. I got a goooood belly laugh out of that one.

By "ss" I assume that means "link." I thought about that, but since so many players have mentioned price discrepancies, I'd put it right out there in black and white (black and grey?) where more players would be most apt to read it. I'm not a computer geek nor do I pretend to be one. Some abbreviations and jargon from the world of computers goes right over my head.

Why Tanki items cost more outside of Russia
u812ic replied to u812ic in Why Tanki items cost more outside of Russia Archive
I found this post in the archives explaining why Russians seem to pay less for Tanki items: Report #8 r_Damn_Slow04103 posts Profile Posted 20 Sep 2016 - 18:39 I've not checked and verified the numbers claimed above, but there is an existing discrepancy in prices for sure. And the reason for that is just international economics. The game's house is in Russia, its banks, lawyers, facilities, employees, taxes, etc ... all in Russia. And a huge chunk of their customers from Russia as well. Whenever these guys buy something in the game, they pay the local prices, just like you would for buying anything in your own country. So far so good Now for the rest of us not in Russia (or neighboring countries with strong ties and economics deeply interwoven with Russia's) , we have to go through an international monetary transaction system to buy anything in that game. And that involves our banks sending our order through its payments aggregator / service provider and they deal with the middle guys (paypal, google wallet and such) and then these guys deal with the other intermediary companies in between and then it goes to the transaction services providers of Tanki's banks and then it finally gets to tanki's bank account. ^ That long process happens electronically and in mere seconds, hence why we often forget about it, but nevertheless that's how it works. And along that chain, EVERYBODY wants their cut on the transaction. When you add all that up the price has already increased rather significantly and wait, doesn't stop there !! Now tanki also has to pay other taxes on these foreign incomes as required by Russian laws and tax policies and probably that's at this point that cedric will come and say "hey where's my 1 cent in that?" ^ That last bit was of course a joke, but, you get an idea of how long a payment chain can be. And each of these services along that line has their own charges, and all these add up and we have a big discrepancy. Another factor is currently Russia's economy is being boosted internally, check the news, and a lot of these service charges that russian locals would have suffered from, or rather bear the cost of, have been lowered, and that's another factor to consider in these discrepancy. TL;DR : Always costs more to buy when its done on an international scale involving international intermediaries. -
In order for MM to do its thing, the battle has to be popular enough for people to want to play and stay in the queue. If no one clicks on "Elimination" mode, then MM can't fill the slots. This sounds like a mode that has to be almost as popular as CTF.

I've always had my turret and hull MUed to 10/10 before it unlocks by rank. I wanted to make sure I was ok for a little while. This is on an account I don't play very often.

I usually play a support role for my team. I have Vulcan/Titan. When it looks like my team is gearing up for an attack, I'll load a SB, try to sneak into enemy territory and start firing away. I may not get very many kills before I die, but that's not my aim. My aim is to reduce enemy health so that they will be easy kills for the incoming slaughter. I've turned the tides of a battle for the losing team a few times. All they needed was someone "brave" enough to meet the enemy headon. I see where @GuidoFawkes is coming from. Where the team failed is no one was keeping track of the ones who respawned. Those are the ones that capped the flags. It doesn't take 7 players to attack 2 enemy defenders. He was taking out the defenders, but he had no team backup. Three of those 7 should have been concentrating on the flag, not playing TDM.

On my other account, I have Firebird M1 8/10 and M2 is ready to be unlocked for 94 600, which I don't have. If I upgrade the M1 to 10/10 will I get the M2 or will I still have to buy it for 94 600?

Yes, I've played elimination in other games, too. But here there is one BIG problem......MMS MM will put you into a game that only has 2 minutes or less left. A player is going to have to work like Hades to get enough kills to get out of last place. If not, the player is eliminated through no fault of his own. This alone will make the battle unpopular. If the player in last place quits, then the next one would be eliminated. But supposing that player left, too. You could have players leaving left and right until it's down to one or two players. It would have to be made so that no one can leave the battle until eliminated.
