So. Much. Fun. Drawing this artwork! I remember playing Terraria on my tablet when I was 9 years old, and oh Lord I loved this game. Some background info on this artwork and my thoughts while I was drawing: I wanted to make a pixel art for ages now, but I was to lazy like always. A few weeks ago I found an interestung group in VK, where people can publish their pixel arts and get feedback. Also they are posing stuff from old games and from the 80s. So I thought why not to try to draw an artwork in this style? After watching some YouTube videos about this topic I started drawing. Like always, took a screenshot from Tanki Viewer and made a nice looking tank. At first I wanted to stop there, but I thought that it looked pretty and it will be cool to continue the art. I had a pretty clear imagination of the final result but like always I couldn't achieve it. Still, it is a pretty nice looking picture, and I will continue to make more pixel arts in the future. ?

One month of drawing in a few images. So basically I started to draw accidentally on the 17th of April when I was testing some new brushes I downloaded for Photoshop. Here is the screenshot of the first "drawing" I made using the mouse. That looks pretty solid for the beginning, right? Not really. When I started to colour the tank I had to figure out how to make the illusion of depth (basically shadows and highiligths). This is the result that came out of this. I tried to add some surrounding. To be honest, it doesn't look that bad. The next day I was trying to improve the look of the tank. I was ignoring the tracks completely and focusing on the main details. I took a few days pause, just watching some YouTube drawing videos and playing games. When I started to draw again, I came with a pretty juicy result, and I'm still happy with it. Sure, it had some issues, but if we ignore it and focus on the overall look - that isn't that bad, ok? ? I already wanted a drawing tablet or a pen for my laptop, so I can draw with the hand and not with the mouse. After actively drawing for a few days I decided to buy it. This is the first drawing I made with the HP Tilt Pen. It took me like 6 or 7 hours to do, and it is a mess. You can clearly see that I was lazy to erase some moments and also I ignored the tracks. The drawing looks bad, but I learned some things during the process. Still, I was getting used to a completely new way of working in Photoshop. After some playing around in Photoshop and trying out different brushes my friend @Abovo PMed me in Discord, he became a brand new admin for the content helpers group and he needed a picture for the proofreader application. After some speaking how he wants it, I started and came out with this. Really mixed style, I made a lot of changes on the way (Abovo wasn't happy with everything, what a nerd). Althought I wasn't happy with it, I learned a lot of stuff from this one. The next one is a big one for me - I really improved on the looks of the tank. With all the experience I gained in the last weeks put together, it was time for the artwork of the month. Yes, the drawing is not finished, and I will probably never finish it. The shadows are horrible and the crates are broken in every way, but I dont really care. What matters is the tank, it looks juicy. The best one so far in my opinion. After some time K_I_R_A_K_O_S_Y_A_N invited me to Lanafles again, and I decided to give it a go. Oh boy I was wrong. I won't go deep into the details, but I left the community agian, because of my edgy-toxic-raging personality. Anyway, I made two and a half artworks in Lanafles - the two you can see in this topic and one is not published. Lets describe what I did in these two published artworks, and what I have learned from it. The artwork with the apple is the first one, I had different ideas on what to do and how to make a cool, funny and ok-looking picture. So I just draw an apple, because it fits with the colour of the tank. With the help from the legion I learned that objects have reflections from the table they are standing on, and there is even a reflection in the shadow! The artwork with the boxes was very important for me. This is where i.Ro (one of the legionaries of Lanafles, very talented artist, also a nerdy Tanki X player) helped me with the shadows and the overall look. The importance of this artwork for me, is that I was taught to work carefully. Just look at the first version of the artwork! So, my last artwork I made in the Lanafles community (not sure I can even post it, but I think it will be ok, lol) is a bit weird when it comes to depth. Let's take a look. i.Ro helped me with tracks, because before they really looked flat and boring. Now they look better, but the depth it still missing. Pretty sad. Also, I somehow managed to mess up the colour palette, and it turned to CMYK instead of RGB, and I can't change it. So the light looks a bit weird, but it is how it is when you do missclicks all the time. Well that is my journey so far. I hope it was interesting to read, I tried to make something unusual and different from other "XY's Creativity" topics. I will continue to develop my skills, and I think it is important for me to learn how to draw the envierovement - this is the topic I will focus on in the upcoming days. If I don't get lazy. Which I probaby will. Again.
