Betelgeuse is a star that is set to supernova. What if I made another AWS story?
-
Jeez, I was reading the part ones of my series' - it makes me cringe. Maybe I might do a revised version... Hmmm.

I used to own a diary. If a color was truly black, would you be able to see it?

Xavier shone his light down the tunnel, seeing nothing but cobwebs and the walls stretching on for what seemed like forever. He looked at the stretch of tunnel behind him and decided it was too late to turn around. "Troop Commander 13, reporting out; will update in approximately 15 minutes," he said into his radio, "If I do not update by then, send out the search team to 23.416203, 25.662830." He switched off his radio and set out into the tunnel, determined to find what he was sent out here for. If the legends were true, the hidden prize was just down this tunnel. Equipped with his survival kit, he was ready to take on anything and everything that stood in his way. A few minutes had passed, and Xavier had yet to see an end to this tunnel. He was starting to wonder if this was pointless; if they had spent thousands of dollars just to walk down a dark, hot, and humid tunnel. Nonetheless, he knew it would be more disappointing if he turned back now and gave up. Either he would find something, or he wouldn't. Going back wasn't an option yet. Eventually, he lost track of time. His whole life, it seemed, was based around walking down this path, with no end or beginning. Just constant walking. With nothing to focus on, he started having hallucinations. Just as the hallucinations were getting to be too much to handle, Xavier saw a turn in the walkway. He knew this must mean he was close. Not only did his walking speed increase, so did his heart rate. He was excited but also worried about what he might find at the end. The turn got nearer and nearer, and he was ready to dial his team and report he had found the treasure. When he turned the corner, he wasn't sure what he saw was treasure. It was a large, magnificent room -- dark, smoky, eerie, and grand. In the middle of this great room, though, there was just a simple little box on a pedestal. Xavier wasn't sure what this was, but his curiosity got the better of him. He walked up to the pedestal carefully, making sure that his steps were as light as possible. He didn't want to set off any traps, especially now. As he reached the box, it seemed like a normal music box, the sort of thing that plays "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" when you wind it up. He thought that this might be a trap, so he carefully pushed the lever the smallest fraction of an inch. When nothing happened, he wound it more, to see what would happen. As Xavier began twisting the lever, the song playing while he did so, he started to get strangely sleepy. He was really tired from all the walking it seemed. And it only got worse as he kept on twisting. He thought he should stop, but what about the treasure? Fatigue eventually got the best of him and he stopped twisting the lever, but the music still played. He was very tired by the time this happened, and he thought it would be nice to just take a nap. He started to drift off to sleep. It was so comfortable, the silence, the heat, the darkness. It all welcomed him in. But in the back of Xavier's head, he knew something was wrong. But why fight it? Maybe he was just delirious, going insane from the absurdity of it all. Xavier started to get sleepier and sleepier, more and more tired, falling slowly, until it was too late. ... "Xavier? Xavier, this is Troop Leader 28. Do you copy, Xavier? Do you need backup? Xavier?" Xavier's walkie-talkie buzzed out into the empty air. "Xavier, we're sending backup. Please report your location as soon as possible." "...Xavier? The connection is glitchi- I can't get a connection acro- Xav- Respond immedia-" The walkie-talkie fizzled out and short-circuited. Silence.

Nice story, hope to see more of you soon!
-
I used to play that game all the time!
-
There's also the fact that the PRO Battle Pass cannot be bought until the rank of Warrant Officer 1, whereas the rank of Embers at the time of screenshot is Staff Sergeant.
-
Some questions are better not asked. What would you do if life gave you lemons?
-
One famous boat that has sunk is the Titanic. Do you believe the string theory?
-
I'll have to take points off for discrimination against my name Great piece! Really funny.

If getting the same amount as the current record holder is counted as a world record, I would like to apply for "Most kills using Wasp overdrive (standard battle)". I also achieved 8 killed on my alternate account, Embers. If I need to post the screenshot on that account or add additional proof, notify me please.

Ranked up on my alt ?
-
If you tie for a world record, does that mean you also hold it?
-
Feel free to post it whenever you feel fit, but there is no guarantee that a helper will be online to approve it. As said earlier, this is a volunteer job, and people have other responsibilities.

Got a new alt called Embers
-
I tried playing on a new account... this is why I stick to the forum.

Cheers! I should start working on Darkness soon, so stay tuned for that. Also I still can't believe that my story made you come back to writing

I backed up until I had hit the building, looking at each of the five enemies in turn. I picked the weakest link and decided he was my target. Secrecy is key, I thought, play it off. So I acted how I would have acted if I hadn't gotten my overdrive. Still pretending to freak out, I positioned myself to launch through the link. I saw a Railgun charge up, and I knew this was my only chance. Jamming the button, I saw the whimsical green sphere appear around my tank, and saw my supplies kick into action. I started loading up my Railgun right as the other fired. Thankfully, my Repair was still going on; I barely felt any damage as it almost instantly healed. I shot straight through the targeted tank, charging forward and practically drifting around the corner. Even with all of the supplies on, my health at the moment was still below halfway. I turned another corner, not knowing where I was heading, but not caring anyways. After what seemed like endless amounts of corners and alleyways, I saw the familiar blue glow of our flag stand. Our flag was missing. I didn't care though, as I knew that meant I was in my territory; my safe haven. Having charged up whilst I was running, I replenished my health with my repair kit. I thought about what to do next. Running through what has happened, I didn't recall anything good. But instead of discouraging me, that pushed me on. Steeling what was left of my nerves, I charged back into the fray. I didn't stop and fight anyone this time, I had one goal. Get the flag. Capture it. End this torturous game. I repeated the same strategy I've been using the entire game: run in the general direction and eventually you might find the flag. It never failed me, so why should I discard it? Anyways, I went straight back into battle, charging past, or sometimes through anybody and everybody who dared to be in my line of sight. I had one goal set in my mind, and I was going to complete that goal, or die. As I whipped my tanks end around yet another corner, I saw a red glow in front of me. The previous flag carrier had died. Charging towards the flag, I noticed about seven tanks also charging towards the flag, determined not to let me get it. I put on a speed boost and shot towards the flag and managed to grab it, but with a cost. Being hit so many times in the process, I was one hit away from being dead. I shot around random corners, not even knowing which direction I should be going in until I ran into another teammate. I dropped the flag and took off, hoping that the other tanker would complete the mission. Being freed of my burden, my only goal was now to survive. I turned corners after corners until I came across a familiar location. A dead end. I looked at my health and I see it at a quarter left, with neither my repair kit nor my overdrive nowhere near being ready, I realized this was probably the end. But I wouldn't go out without a fight. As they appeared, I managed to nail two at once, killing the Hornet-Thunder in the front. But there were already too many of them. As they got ready to deliver the fatal blow, I recalled all the memories of the great battle. The gold box, Claudia, the Hunter-Striker, all of the good memories, and all of the bad memories. Then I flashed back to reality. There was no escape. I was about to die right before our victory. As I watched the shot go towards me, emotions suddenly disappeared. I didn't feel sad that it was about to end, but I wasn't happy either. Right as the shot was about to hit my tank, something weird happened. The game suddenly stopped for a moment, and then a new screen popped up. The tab screen, but with rewards on it. The game was over, the mission was completed. We had won. And I was in first place. Outside of the computer world, Jack jumped up and down in celebration. He looked at the clock; it was 9:30 on Christmas Eve. He was silent, taking in what he had just done in Tanki Online. After a moment or two, he heard his mom calling for him. "Jack? C'mon, it's time to go. You don't want to be late for Ethan's birthday party." ...Darkness. -Lose I decided to wrap up the 999. series as my celebration for being part of the AWS for one year. Thank you, more stories to come!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try experimenting with this style of writing more. And yep, 200 accounts is quite a few. One thing I remember was that on thE-TaNkI-OnLiNe_pRo, I was trying to get all the achievements, first by getting 10,000 exp on each turret. It didn't work out in the end. Thanks for feedback!
