I am hopefully getting a new PC in a few weeks time. However, this one was working fine until the most recent update (paint addition) so it can't just be to do with my system.

Hello, As an example: I join a small battle (say Sandbox CTF). I have decent FPS (35-40), good PING (38) but although the game runs with none or little lag as one might expect from these statistics, I get lag spikes where although the FPS stays relatively high and the PING low, my tank goes into "Auto-Control" mode, where it will take sometimes as long as 3 seconds to respond to the keyboard. Even then, the slightest touch on the "X", "Z" or the arrow keys will cause the tank to eventually respond with alarming exaggeration, sometimes spinning the turret in several complete circles. After about 45 seconds of this "Ghost" lag, the game will return to its normal function, but this lag hits at random times, making it impossible to play, especially if you use XP (like me). 1) Windows 8, Firefox, Adobe Flash Player 23.0, AVG Anti-Virus 2) Wifi (11.58 mb/s) 3) Will check this later if necessary.

Fortunately I happened to have the armor earthed to the ground so the current didn't affect me :P Also the plane hadn't taken off the runway yet  a few bruises. PUM is a mammoth m0 on 0 health,he has run out of repairs, and 10 m4 xps with double damage are encircling him ready to fire ;)

Foreshadow (Part 1) It was all very familiar: The wind whistling across the rocks, the heavy blanket of snow spread on the frozen earth and the cold blue snowflakes that were sent swirling by the gale. Keiren felt the icy chill he had long become accustomed to. It had always seemed reassuring at first. The bleak grey sky hung over the barren landscape, which appeared devoid of anything other than ice, snow or stone. Keiren surveyed this all with a sickening foreboding, the cold chill now spreading inwards, its icy fingers piercing his heart as it fully dawned on him where he was. This was nothing new, he had seen it all before. His feet began to carry him across the deep snow, plunging into a small valley then up and out onto the white moor once more. The storm was increasing in ferocity, but Keiren had become used to the stinging of the tiny ice crystals that were flung at his face. Ignoring the pain, he felt his arms move up to his face to shelter his eyes as they peered ahead. Nothing, only the shadow of a cliff away to his left and a white blankness on all other sides. He wondered which direction he should take, but something told him, as it had done many times before, that he should always trust the path chosen by his body; it knew where its destination lay. The wind was waning now, and Keiren found he could see a distance ahead. His mind tried to persuade his body to seek shelter under the great cliff, but again he found he could not alter the course to which he had been set. Suddenly, he found he could make out objects in the snow ahead. There were many from where he could see, varying in size and shape. His legs quickened the speed of the journey to a run, and as he approached the mysterious shapes, all his experiences and knowledge flooded over him, along with a sense of fearful panic. They were hulls of tanks, many of them, strewn across the snow. The shattered hulk of a Titan loomed over him, jagged holes gaping in its hull like empty eye sockets and a yawning chasm remained where the turret had once been. Keiren found his hands brushing away the snow from a battered emblem emblazoned on the Titan's side. He stared at it for a moment before realizing, not for this first time in his life, what these tanks were. These were no common tanks. They were special forces with incredible experience and combat skills, hand picked from the academy by previous veterans. His father had served among their ranks, and the memory of his passing almost caused Keiren to double over with pain. Keiren had vowed to also serve in the faction and keep his father's reputed name alive, even if he himself was not. As he struggled to regain control of his emotions, Keiren's feet, which had previously remained still and unmoving, begain to resume their course through the wreckage and he was powerless to resist. Suddenly, almost deliberately it seemed, they stumbled over a piece of metal protruding from the snow. Keiren's subconciousness stirred, it already knew how this would end. His hands tugged the piece free from the snow's grasp and his head bent to inspect it. One word, one name. MISTRUNNER His body was racked by uncontrollable sobs. Staring around wildly in his grief, Keiren caught sight of something small on the ground, near the shell of a blown-out Hornet. He stumbled towards it, blinded by tears. Once close, there was no doubting his eyes. It was the body of a tanker, lying face-down in the snow, dead. But the body wasn't wearing a normal green uniform; it wore one of red, as had been his family's tradition for generations of tankers. A long animal-like scream burst from somewhere deep inside Keiren. "FATHER!"

But then you're basically just creating another chat, not what this idea intends.

Nice article Blaster! Enjoyable read. Now I can lable each noob I see with a number between 1 and 5 :). Btw, there is a 6th kind of noob at least. Today I was doing an island cp with railgun (cause why not B)). I took a double armor and a lieutenant colonel (on my team) absolutely took off. He spend the rest of the game shooting me with his twins, claiming I took "his" armor and basically making me miss every shot I fired. He even went to the extent of sacrificing himself (shooting me rather than another tank who was killing him) so that I missed a kill even though he died to do it >.<. It's happened to me before, but usually only at low ranks when noobs can't bear to see you take the flag from under their nose.

After the new chat system was introduced it has become much harder for low ranked tankers to communicate during battles and to ally during Deathmatches. I suggest a "Communication system" that would be in place from Recruit to Master Seargent. There would be a new button near the "Time remaining" and "score" stats. When this button was clicked it would either show all the tankers in your team, or all the tankers in the Deathmatch. You can then click one of the tanker's names, and a panel would pop up, like if you click a tanker's name in the server chat. The Deathmatch options would be limited to "Team" whereas the games which involved teams would be messages to the entire team "Return to base"(ctf), "return flag" (ctf), "attack", "assistance required", "take the points" (cp) and possibly others. Players can individually send these messages to tankers rather than the whole team during team games. When one of these the "Team" option is selected in DM the player in question will recieved a notification, like the invitation to battle one. It will read "Viperspark wishes to team with you" and there will be an "accept" option or a "decline" option. Then the player who sent the invitation will recieve the reply. In the team modes the entire team will recieve the message. There would be a cooldown on messages and if a player messages the same player more than 3 times in a DM, he will be banned from using it for a certain length of time (ei the remainder of the battle). I just think this would make low ranker battles more interesting, and also help the team games to be less of a melee of tanks and possibly more strategical.

The shock bomb idea is interesting but it could also be too overpowered. I think in order for it to be on the same level as the the other supplies it could be triggered by an enemy, but still do the shock effect to all tanks at close range. How long will the effect last?

Name: Deflector Shield What it does: Creates a glowing blue transparent hemisphere encircling your tank. What does it protect against: Impenetrable to all guns at long range except Shaft (for Shaft the damage is reduced by 75%). Medium range the damage done is reduced by 35% on top of any protection done by a module. At close range the damage is reduced by 10% for all long range guns (Thunder, Railgun, Smokey, Shaft) and 5% for the other guns. There is an exception (see "cons"). How Long does it last: 35 seconds. There is also a 90 second cooldown for this supply. How much would it cost: 230 crystals for 1. Pros: Would make Shaft better as you are more free to aim and pick off targets without being sniped by another Shaft as soon as you leave cover. Also help people defend Capture Points more easily. Cons: If you are not stationary while using this supply the damaged reduced percentage is reduced by half (Shaft defense at long range would be 37.5% instead of 75%). The blue glow would easily be visibe during night battles. Ever been defending a flag or point with some teamates who are really low health and won't drug? Name: Splash Repair What it does: Boosts every tank's hull value by 30 (to a maximum of full health) in a range the size of Firebird m0 range and removes freeze and burn effects. Cooldown: 45 seconds How much does it cost: 200 for 1 item. Pros: Can be used to help keep a healing Isida alive. Will also help the overheat damage from Vulcans. Can also help deal with the afterburn from Firebird on a group of tanks. Cons: Will also heal enemy tanks in range. Cannot be picked up, only avaliable through the shop and missions. Cannot be used in conjunction with repair kits. Thoughts?

Yeah. I have a habit of leaning back on two chair legs... I've broken several :/ HYE ranked higher than Brigadier without using a single drug?

I don't think this is a terrible update, there are some positives and negatives. But some of the paint reductions will have a huge impact on some of the kits. For example, Atlas kit was around 180k before the update. Now it will be almost 100k less (around 80k) because of the huge reduction of the price of loam paint. Also the reduction of rustle wil mean Firebolt kit is also very cheap. On the other end of the spectrum, we have Cyclops kit which is now almost 300k due to the price increase of Holhoma. Who in their right mind would pay that for Shaft m2 and mammoth m2?? To be fair there are some price reductions that make sense (such as Rhino paint) but there are some definite problems after this update.

I think everyone's having the problem with the Team paint being removed and recieving no reward. I've lost my Germany paint but not got the 25 drugs yet. On the other hand, I got the voting reward Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
