OK i tried playing in HTML 5.0 and the increment counters work but it doesn't work if you play in the client.
-
That's what hiramdoe and me said.

i checked that when i did the missions, the progress remains 0 for wasp overdrive and killing with long range weapons. I went to the HTML5.0 to ensure that i commenced the mission. Also, i know that it should work since i can see progress made for the Easter egg paint.I believe there's a bug tanki.

i like the game but i think the biggest mistake that tanki made in the last 1.5 years was to push ahead with Matchmaking without considering the feelings of community players like myself who bonded with one another in maps that they loved to play on. I lost a ton of friends made in tanki from all over the world but yes i still love the game. MM had to stay but i think more could have been done to help players stick around more. i think tanki was fixated on pushing to a mobile, playable and fixed 6-7min battles that kept changing without much consideration to many players. Nives had to bear the brunt of the complaints. I think a ton of players were ignored. So will tanki developers really listen??? Cos it feels like they just said they will listen but they didn't really. Having said that, i think that tanki did work hard to develop alot of cool features into the game that many people enjoy such as overdrives, new weapons, better looking maps, drones, etc. I think the part about listening to the community still needs alot more work.

OMG - why is tanki so messed up? Stars cannot see. When we login to the war site, it logs us out of the game. I'm guessing its thinking there's a double login. Someone isn't thinking through how we will be confused.

Every 3 or 4 games i play, i need to close tanki app and relaunch it again because either the game hung or when the game loads, my tank is not there. This is quite consistent.

Welcome back Cedric. I too took a hiatus from Tanki after being disheartened. I was OK with all the updates with exception to Matchmaking. And this is not just for myself. Many of my regular tanki friends left over matchmaking. I think not just me but many put in sooo much effort to send a message to the developers but it seemed as if we were talking to a wall. Even on community events when Nives arranged, i would try to reach out to Nives to tell him this problem but my cries fell on deaf ears. I mean, i feel on tanki's part, MANY players were ignored. Even in appealing for the option to have battles without Matchmaking, the only option left was for players to possess a battle pass or be a clan member. It didn't help that moderators were brain washed into "zombies" in promoting matchmaking. Quite clearly, from all the player charts, you can clearly see the downtrend effect after MM was rolled out. Retrospectively, i think tanki was banking on the TO mobile to prop up statistics. The key difference was before MM, there were battle maps that people liked to hang out in. Like some of us loved highway map so much we would play on that map for hours. And these are players who don't want to be forced to buy a battle pass or be a clan member. And we could hang out with players on that map, make new friends of different ranks and chat, exchanged emails, etc . Plus we could do that while completing missions. We would help each other. All that got ripped out. So when everyone was forced to play on MM, i could no longer find my regular friends. Its 10mins BAM another battle map, different people 10mins BAM...then tanki reduced this to 8mins. For me, i could easily create a map and wait (which i did cos the mods told me i had that option) but majority of the people - their first priority was to complete there MM battles because of mission obligations. So what can i say. Tanki is paying the price for ignoring all these people. Mods told me that tanki had already made up their mind, MM was to stay and we had no choice. There would be a new generation of tanki players who would not know what playing tanki before MM was like and get use to it. True. But i think it was wrong strategy to dismiss the opinions of your loyal tanki players. i felt it was hypocritical to create a thread to solicit feedback about MM only to ignore all the cries of the players. Most of the people here probably don't know what i'm talking about those people have already left. I stayed because at the very least, i still have my clan friends. But outside my clan, all my usual tanki friends are gone.

Imagine playing to get 100 stars and getting 1 container and when you open it => you get speed boosts. Kwa Kwa Kwa....

Thanks Ostrica. I'v already done so.

i followed all the steps...downloaded tankix on 15 July and played 5 battles. Confirmed email of course. None in the spam folder. And i'm not using multiple accounts. Just 1 account. What is wrong?

i played 5 battles - 4 wins 1 loss in tanki-x - but i too did not receive my rewards. Feel played out... :(

So of course if Viking is going to give me the reply that TO developers want to take tanki online in a certain direction again; then that will simply end a discussion. I think its quite clear to everyone that the latest change has taken a toll on player ratings on Tanki significantly. And i have to say that it isn't helping that Nives is never here to answer or the key word "ENGAGE". I mean, lets be honest. Cooper once said that he was too busy to answer with all the queries and backlash but i find that very hard to believe since he is very active on other forums answering trivial questions on cars and things he likes. Then i also tried to reach out to him over the friday community events, but it was quite clear that his ears were shut to any changes to the current MMS. This kind of dynamic isn't helpful. I speak not just for myself but i believe i represent hundreds who are just venting in many other channels - still until today more than 30 days later. I have never threatened to leave and have never been rude to anyone. One thing ought to be clear - that the current MMS really needs a review and a second look. All those other "New" features like drones and Juggernaut will prop up the ratings for short spurts but they don't take away the pain of MMS. Furthermore, it doesn't help with all the unresolved bugs of MMS but i won't press on with that because other players have already highlighted those.

There are ways to allow map choice without having to wait for so long. One way is to have the option to select preferred map choices. The MMS would try to look for a map or if many players picked that map(s), it would create such a map for players. If not, then it would place you on a second preferred map. Then put in place a threshold of 1minute to look for preferred maps. If none, then put the player in a random battle map. Another way is to give the player the option to wait for a longer period for a map choice they want say up to 3 minutes. Giving players the option for map choice in no way affects the MMS system. They are 2 different kettles of fish.
-
If everyone is placed on the map of their choice and the battle balances out the players, i don't see how map choice affects MMS.
-
Actually MMS can still work if they let players check on boxes which indicate the map they want to play on and then let the MMS run. Still don't understand the rationale of taking away map choice from players in non-Pro battles.

Did we miss something? Wasnt there suppose to be meteorites falling on World UFO Day on 2 July 2018 as announced in the VLOG?

So in other words, we just suck it up and suck our thumb - if i summarise what you are saying. Then there's no point in us having this forum to voice it...cos its pointless. For me, buying pro pass is not an issue but it is for some. You can't say oh they don't manage their crystals well. We should respect players for their decisions and perhaps they don't play as much or as frequently. Also, it seems, bets are on the mobile Tanki for more players to join there as you put it - so maybe you're right maybe i'm wrong...only time will tell. But the change management i have to say sucks. Cos the change sacrificed alot of Tanki loyalists and paid customers. If you guys don't open your ears to hear, its going to be downhill all the way.
-
You are right Viking - almost everyone i know has hopped into pro battles - which is a problem for friends who don't have a clan or don't want to buy pro pass by the way - which is precisely where i am for a most part of my TO play now. That seems to be the very last corner that we have all been herded into. 20 months ago many including myself already voiced the same concerns. What happened? As usual, our feedback was all brushed aside. 20 months later - its the same. So having the devs spend 20 months on developing MMS to me isn't the reason why i will even consider this. The issue is that they are ignoring the pleas of the community.
-
This is a little like North Korea...where propaganda would have us believe that MMS is the way forward and its the reality everyone must accept. Absolutely zero consideration for player's opinions on this matter. All i hear from Nives on why MMS must stay is because everywhere he has gone in different games, MMS is the industry norm so Tanki must embrace it. Since when does a game follow a trend for the sake of following?? - it clearly is an issue. Again, make MMS an option. It doesn't work for a large % of the community. I have lost almost all communication with regular playing friends except for those in my clan.
-
I'm sure i'm not the only who experienced this. This happened to me twice. Was in a CP battle and when it ended, i pressed continue and was landed in a CTF battle. Second time, i was in a CTF battle, pressed continue when the battle ended and landed in a Rugby battle. Its a minor issue, but nevertheless, an issue.=) I hope you guys at Tanki know what you are doing. If this was the stock market for a company, heads would start to roll already.

So i'm curious Nives. After some 111 pages and growing, why are you quiet? I see that you are responding to other pages on other forums but not this one. As a community manager, at the very least, you should be persuading the community on why matchmaking makes sense or even get us to understand why matchmaking will "liven" the game. You should be addressing these issues and not stay quiet. The mods are only responding to factual questions. If that is so, creating this discussion achieves no purpose but allowing us to rant and vent. I don't see engagement with the community, people who have stayed loyal to the game, people who have paid for the game etc. The only thing that i got was from the vlog - that matchmaking are "the rules". That's real lame. Cos matchmaking was created by your team of developers. They were never the "rules".
-
Check out the down trend of tanki's usage over the year on steam's website... i didn't realise its quite bad.
-
So i see that you are complaining about the "complainers". LOL You clearly fall in the zone of players who don't care and who probably treat Tanki game as just one of many. 96 pages is not even half of what the RU community is "complaining" about. And besides that, if your eyes and ears are open to the chat-groups in the game, you'd realise that its not just the few of us here that are frustrated with the MM. We are a mouthpiece to many many others that are not here in this forum that are venting their frustrations in chatgroups, clan chats, youtube chats/reviews, etc.
-
Excuse me...but you must be just joining the forum. If you check the threads above, we have all offered suggestions to the devs already, including myself.

This is called defeatist mentality. Take what comes your way. Don't rock the boat...sigh
