  11. Topic Update: So I did a Poll on my channel yesterday where 2.5k logged in users voted. Now this further supports my theory. As per the results, 66% of tanki players who are still playing started playing in 2014 or before. Which means they are playing from more than 5 years. But if we look at players from 2016 or 2017, it's way less. As per my theory I think that many people did played in 2015,2016,2017,2018 but they didn't get hooked to the game. In other words, they played for few months and then stopped playing. That's why least amount of players who are still playing are from that era. So most of the people who got hooked to the game started playing during the time when there was Player Rating. They too must have left for a while in the middle (like I left for 2 years in middle) but eventually they came back. That's the thing that happens when you get hooked to a game. I can't say that it's 100% accurate... but it's something.
  12. Here's my personal experience. I started playing in 2014 and there was one common thing use to happen in chat those days. There was a question, a question everyone use to ask everyone. "What's your rating??" My only reason for playing tanki was getting better "Player rank" than my friend and I played for months even after I defeated my friends in ranking. But then in V-log they announced that they will be changing the algorithm of rating and it will be back once it's fixed. But rating didn't come back for 2 years I'm I'm not wrong. I played for almost 1 year but just 6 weeks after they removed rating, I stopped playing the game entirely. Even all my school friends stopped playing within the first 2 months after this update. I just came back after they released that rating website. Now just few days ago there was a get together and all my friends were there. We were talking about random things, and I told them that I'm making tanki vids and have a channel. While these random conversation were going on I asked a question, "that's okay, but why you guys left playing though?" At first everyone was like,"It became boring","It was not that addictive" etc. But then something strange happened, one of my friend said, "Cause they removed the RATING SYSTEM!" and suddenly everyone was like,"Yeah, you are right" , "Yes", "Exactly". They all agreed that since rating was removed they didn't fell that much addictive or like they didn't have a particular goal to play, and after few weeks they left. Although ratings are available now, but they are not along the experience bar. That's the reason people don't even notice it. Here's a thing that I read once long time ago. Google once removed "I'm Feeling Lucky" button from google homepage since no one use to click it. Not even 1% people. But just after removing it, they saw a great amount of decrease in their traffic and so again they added this feature. Astonishingly the decrease in traffic went away. It's all very weird cause no one even notice that button on the homepage! I mean I just went on google homepage in order to check if "I'm Feeling Lucky" button is still there or not xD I was shocked. It's still there! Now I checked all the data and I noticed that tanki traffic dropped few months after they initially removed rating. (to improve the algorithm) The effect was not immediate and they also added a lot of other updates after this one. Maybe that's why they missed the cause. I still think that people hate and the whole "Pay to Win" stuff is not the reason. Cause believe me, back then it was 10x more pay to win and I still use to play as a non-buyer. Only few tankers remember those days when there was "Mammoth + Thunder" with all supplies activated without any cool down. That's a real Nightmare! Now tanki is great. There is Cool-Down, Overdrives, More crystals on less Exp earned in MM battles, Daily Missions, Monthly Challenges, Black Boxes (I was the one who posted the idea of black boxes in Ideas ans Suggestion ), New types of system for Protection Modules, so we can combine any protection, Ability to preview paints before buying, Same amount of Gold drop rate at every rank etc But still we can't see tanki getting that much traffic again. This is the tanki traffic for this week. Tanki is not promoting the game anymore? Why? It was a great success back then, It's even better now and has more potential. Why working on a new Game? cause I believe that tanki can still get 200k players online. It's that good!

Showing player's efficiency in the experience bar

I've noticed that tanki online doesn't show the ranking of a tanker along the experience bar, even though they calculate the ranking of the tanker. I mean I can see my ranking only if I go over my Ratings. So they have that statistic then it really good if they show it along the experience bar. I mean something like this: Benefits: 1) It's one of the best tactics to get a new user hooked to the game. The reason being that in start your ranking will get better at a really fast rate since it has exponential growth. Like playing just for few hours at low rank can increase your ranking by millions. (referring to low ranks like Corporal). I mean most of the games I played when I was a kid were because of the player ranking system. 2) Everyone will actually notice and track their position (since they can see it being updated after every battle). This will increase the engagement even by the high rank players. Right now I hardly see anyone playing to get a better position. They mostly just play for the rewards on special occasions. This will give them one more reason to play the game. Disadvantages: EDIT: For any developer reading this: EDIT 2: So I did a Poll on my channel yesterday where 2.5k logged in users voted. Brighten up with the Holi Bundle!

That's the dictionary definition. In real it's just throwing water balloons and colors at each other (at least that's how I use to celebrate it ) Isn't there some moral value and positive theme in almost every festival? I mean that's the reason why they are called... festivals.

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

That is Insane! :O Yup, that happens a lot and the strategy to follow depends on the map and mode. But mostly, this strategy works. Go in their base. The thing is, if their team is dominating, mostly they are in our base spawn killing us. So instead of fighting them there, just try to sneak out to their base and fight them there. In their base there will be at max 2-3 players and you can take them out to get score. Now it's not possible to win in such battles since it works on team effort and most of these battles end in 2-3 mins. And you only need a score of like 100-120 to stay on first, which is easy if you get 6-7 kills. Now this is just one of the strategy and it mostly works in TDM, CTF & RGB.

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

I don't play tanki that much. I only play like 40 mins daily for completing daily missions on all accounts, but I play more on events. So if I play more then it's better to play on Road to Legend account. For example I did around 115k exp (I had premium) on that acc in those 2 days. Otherwise it would take me months to do that xD

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

Cause it's my Road To Legend account. So I'm not only completing 2000 stars but also completing my Road to Legend video series. Plus I did it in 47 not 24 hours.

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

It was Waider & BigTanks who did it (were playing in groups). But they did not completed it in 39 hours. They completed it after the server update on 2nd day. I did before the server update. I don't think it's right to include them though xD See my GS Score at General Rank. My GS Score: Now see their GS Score at Warrant Officer rank Waider's GS Score: Big Tank's GS Score: Basically they had better GS score (better tank) than me on Warrant Officer Rank :X I did it in 47, not 24 .-.
  22. Ghost_Animators

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

I played 403 battles in 47 hours this time, including 6 hours of break. Last month it took me 467 battles and 51 hours instead. I don't play in groups cause it takes more time than usual to join a battle.
  23. Ghost_Animators

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

I play quick battles and change equipment depending on the map. I played 80% of the battles using Twins + Viking (cause my twins is M3 with 4/20 Micro up, other turrets that I have are M2 only, but I bought Cardinal kit from garage to get twins M3) Some of the battles were played using Thunder + Viking (mostly CP). Plus, most of the battles I played were RGB and CTF, so I was able to complete them fast as I capped all the flags before the time run out. I didn't use TItan much although it's the only M3 I got. The thing is, it decreases the mobility and because of that I was not able to come first in any of the modes (except TDM). Long story short, you can't come first just by camping if you are playing Quick Battles. Believe me, I'm really good at Camping (did 562 kills 0 death in a supplies off and upgrades off battle. Video can be found on my channel). If you wanna wanna come first and finish battles fast, you have to play according to the mode. Cap flags if it's CTF, Goals if it's RGB, Capture points if it's CP and Camp if it's TDM. If you just follow the strategy of killing, irrespective of the mode, then most of the time you will get 4 stars.(Mainly cause the guy on first will be the one who is capping the flag or capturing points) Edit: For credibility, I did 2000 stars in 2 days 2 times now (both Feb and March). Plus I also did 900 stars in 23 hours during that Demonic Skin event (battles used to be longer that time) .

    March Challenge — Hornet Legacy

I took one power-nap of 30 mins and one sleep of 5 hours. If we get 6 stars in every battle then it will take 334 battles to complete 2000 stars. But I was not 1st in every battle and it took me 403 battles to complete 2000 stars. (avg of 6 mins per battle cause some battles end up early)
