Congratulations to @chinufire1 for becoming an Event Helper Candidate! I know that no one hasn't talked about it, but that doesn't mean that no one should. Good luck on your candidacy!

Or give a random chance to apply the EMP status effect, such as 50% of sniping shots add the EMP status effect. Even 75% would be better, because we all know that 100% > 75%. Although it might feel like regular EMP Gauss to others. It's very interesting to look back on something that came from 2020 me compared to 2021 me. Man I sure was cringe back then...

No. 3 is enough. I gotta move on to other things than just the Tankiroll. -
results [Results] Tanki's Got Talent: Song Parody Contest
Towns replied to Person_Random in Newspaper Archive
The Tankiroll lives on... I may be 3rd but we all know that the "Tankiroll" trilogy was one of the most legendary we'll see for a while. Chinu's parody was really good as well, and same with readyfire's one. I made the 3rd Tankiroll for this contest (and it got 3rd place as well), and I also got the opportunity to rickroll the judges as well. If it didn't get published in the results it would've been lost forever, so thank you for publishing it in the results as well! What contest is next? Hmm... -
How to Get Crystals Quickly and Efficiently
Towns replied to Towns in How to Get Crystals Quickly and Efficiently Writers' Corner
Imagine this, it is 2 weeks from Tanki's birthday celebrations. This is a once in a year opportunity to grab yourself some upgrades for your equipment, with all the prices slashed in half, however, you have only the very small balance of 100,000 crystals in your garage. You have no premium, no containers (or any equivalents) and you have no idea where to start. Well, that's why you've come to the right place! Welcome to my guide on how to get more crystals quickly and efficiently. NOTE: You may know this stuff already. This is just a rough guide on where to start. Okay, so you've found this guide, now what? Oh, I'll tell you what. I'm going to be showing you some efficient ways to get crystals that don't need you to cost an arm and a leg for supplies, or even months of saving up for the battle pass. So, without further ado, let's get started! As you probably know, there are many ways to get crystals, be it from containers, battle fund, gold boxes or from other sources, but the main way is from the battle fund. As you probably know, the battle fund revolves around one thing, score. As you probably know, score revolves around your placing in the battle, which in turn determines how many crystals you get. Assuming you don't have premium account, and there are no increased funds, you should get about 25 crystals per 20 score, on average. Also, that’s the average for losing. The average for winning may be something like 30 crystals per 20 score, so keep that in mind. So, to increase the amount of crystals you get from the fund, you must first increase the amount of score you get. There are multiple ways to do this, but here are some of the most effective: 1) Vulcan Dictator in CP mode: Vulcan is a very powerful turret, boasting 800 damage per second with an extremely large range at maximum level. Dictator is a hull that doesn't just benefit you with an extremely controllable nature, but also helps you maintain supplies as well. Combined with either the Driver or Brutus drones, you can have powerful supply effects, and with Driver, you gain your Overdrive faster, which is not just useful for you, because you can do critical damage and "give" your tank any supply effect (except gold boxes and batteries), and do so to any allies in the effect radius. It also freezes enemies in that radius, which pretty much guarantees your kill when the supercharge is taken into account. As well as that, the Overdrive gives 20 points if you share your Overdrive with at least one of your team members. 2) Hopper in CTF mode or attacking in Assault: Before you guys call me out for even mentioning this combo, let alone putting it on this list, let me explain. Hopper can be used to your advantage easily by using its overdrive to hop over any obstacles that might stand in your way. Although you may get some hate from people who absolutely despise Hopper, it’s still a good option. However, keep in mind it has a lower speed than Wasp or Hornet, so in the long term, you could invest in Trickster, or (if you’re lucky enough), then Crisis, however let's keep it to the short term for now. Also, a flag captured in Assault gives you 50 battle points, while a flag captured in Capture the Flag (CTF), along with a ball in Rugby (RGB), gives you 75 battle points per flag or ball. With that being said, you should definitely be getting above 400 points per game once you get the hang of it. It may take some time, but it’ll be worth it. 3) Viking Magnum in Siege: This combo in this mode is definitely a bruiser, especially if you can obtain its armor piercing augment, or its Harpoon augment (Harpoon lowers the barrel angle to 3 degrees but reduces the splash damage by about 30%). Once you begin to master the amount of power needed for 12 degrees (or 3 degrees, in Harpoon’s case), then maybe you should begin to think about what drone you want to get and use for a large amount of the time you are playing the game with that combo, because by then you should be able to hit any enemy and deal a lot of damage to them. In Siege, it’s very good because when the enemy gets their Titan dome disabled by a Hunter’s Overdrive, you can strike with your overdrive and knock the team out, assuming you know how to control the shots correctly. If you don’t, then don’t worry, practice should come in handy with that. So, now you know some combos that are fairly useful for getting large amounts of score, but now, what’s even the point of that, and what are the different ways of obtaining score? Well, I covered the point of gathering score (it increases the amount of crystals you get in battle significantly), but how do you even get said score? Luckily, I have a table that might just help you out with that. The wiki editors have been kind enough to put up a table of the different ways to obtain score, in relation to how much XP you get for performing that task, in the Tanki Online Wiki and I will be showing it to you now: So, as you can see, there are many different ways to obtain crystals, but the ways that we are interested in, are when they give more battle score than experience points, because for the majority of you players reading this article, you would be at a fairly mid rank (such as Major or Lieutenant General), so you don’t want to rank up fast. So, by the looks of that, focusing on the objective, and repeating doing so over and over (which is pretty much capturing a point/flag/ball, and in the case for CP, neutralizing and capturing a point. In Team Juggernaut, destroying the Juggernaut is a good way to go, since it gives you 65 battle score from that alone. Not to mention repeating to do so. While doing so, over 60% of the time you will need to kill others to complete the objective, and, especially the case with Siege and Team Juggernaut, you will rack up a load of experience in the process. If you’re a Legend rank, that wouldn’t really matter much, but if you’re something like Sergeant-major or a Captain, that could be the difference between ranking up to the next rank with insufficient crystals to upgrade their tank, and ranking up with more than enough upgrades on your equipment you need. And that’s why you want to get as many crystals as possible, without gaining as many experience points, which is also known as “crystal to xp efficiency”. So basically, when you finish a battle, you would typically have a crystal to xp efficiency of 0.5 crystals to each experience point, and that’s at a low rank without premium. As you advance to higher ranks, you gain access to better equipment, and that causes you to gather more crystals, although experience points are a constant. So, the typical battle without premium at a higher rank would be something along the lines of 0.8 crystals to each experience point. In the case of using premium account, you get 50% more experience points and twice as many crystals, so your crystal to xp efficiency will go up significantly. Allow me to demonstrate. You get 500 xp and 400 crystals at the end of a battle, and you get the exact same amount of score, and the exact same battle result (for example, victory, 5 flags to 4 flags, 1.00 K/D). Before you would’ve got 500 xp and 400 crystals, but now you will get 50% more xp and twice as many crystals, which equates to 750 xp and 800 crystals respectively. So, if you’re lucky enough to manage to obtain premium account from containers, use it as much as you can, because it gives a much better crystal/xp efficiency ratio. Now we’ve covered battle score, let’s focus on other sources where you can get crystals. Some include daily missions (which have a random chance of rewarding you crystals), premium account bonuses (2500 crystals each day), from gold boxes, ranking up, challenge tiers, containers and even from the shop (the showcase is guaranteed to give you 100 crystals per new showcase generated, and you can buy crystals for tankoins). However, instead of focusing on all of those sources, I’m going to only focus on 3 of the more effective sources, missions, containers and challenge tiers. Daily missions are an effective way to get crystals because the simplest of daily missions only require you to go through 1 battle to complete, while some others can require you to go through 10 battles to complete! So, next time you have a daily mission set, look for the daily missions that give you crystals as a reward (and not just the requirement to complete it). You might just get a bit lucky and find yourself some extra crystals. Daily missions also give you stars in a fixed amount (either 30 stars, 50 stars or 70 stars depending on the difficulty of the mission). Also there is another type of mission, weekly missions. These reward you with 1 container (a fixed amount), a fixed amount of stars (either 100 stars, 150 stars or 200 stars once again depending on the difficulty of the mission), and also a fixed amount of weekly containers (either 1, 2 or 3 of them depending on the difficulty of the mission). Not much to say about these really, except that they give stars, containers and weekly containers. But why are stars so important, you may ask? Well, I’m going to be telling you that today. Challenges require stars to make progress on, which can be obtained in battle, or most commonly, in missions. The further your progress on the challenge, the higher “tier” you get, the better rewards you get. Stick around long enough to grab yourself the ultimate prize - 100 tankoins for the silver tier and a skin container for the gold tier (where skin containers give you a random skin that you don’t already have, with some exceptions, which are Gauss Prime, Hornet Prime, Gauss XT, and all hovering hull XTs and all Ultra skins). This is the 50th tier and requires you to grab 4000 stars to reach (with each tier requiring you to obtain 80 stars to reach). The gold tier can be accessed by a battle pass, which costs 1500 tankoins, and lets you access more rewards, such as 100,000 extra crystals, the skin container, 400 extra tankoins and 25 extra containers. But what are containers and how do they give you extra crystals? Well, why don’t I tell you that? Containers are boxes that can give you a randomly generated item, such as from 3500 to 1 million crystals, up to 250 supplies, 10 days of premium account, 10 golds, a paint (or skin) you don’t already have, or even something as little as a shot effect, hull augment or turret augment. Better rewards have a less chance of getting obtained from containers, but on average about 70% of the containers you open would be white (or common). Common rewards include 3500 crystals or 125 of any supplies (excluding gold boxes, batteries or repair kits). There are different types of containers as well, such as ultra containers (which are basically the same as regular containers but you can obtain any reward you can be given, except tankoins), and coinboxes (which give you only crystals, supplies of tankoins, with more tankoins increasing on the rarity of the coinbox you open). There are a few others, such as weekly containers which are less interesting, so if you want to learn about them, then go to the wiki page. A gold box is basically a supply that drops a gold box on a random drop zone on the map, which gives you 1000 crystals if caught. This is less interesting, so not much to say there. And that’s about it from me, good luck crystal hunting to you crystal-hungry tankers out there! Enough from me, this was Towns, and I’ll see you next time! -
Still waiting on Shaft Legacy... This is the only picture where I could find one, but it still looks very good.

One of the more popular car brands, their shares are worth like $586 each. They sell electric cars. ?

You can land upwards to 12 Rail shots with Viking's OD, which equates to an average of 5.14 Rail shots with Supercharge (3 seconds). Supercharge guarantees a critical hit, remember? Normally you can hit 11 Rail shots with Viking's OD, which equates to an average of 4.7 Rail shots with Supercharge in 3 seconds, which in other words is 40 seconds of EMP time, or 20 seconds of stun time. This is not coming from someone who has a biased opinion towards or against status effect augments by the way, although I do lean slightly towards the latter. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
-
Also the worst to deal with. That's why I desperately want Dictator Stun Immunity. Because I only use Dictator pretty much, and Stun is absurdly OP if it's more than 2 seconds. It makes you a sitting duck, pretty much. That's why I hate Stun Rails and always leave when I find one in MM.
-
Absolutely not. The critical chance for Railgun is absurdly high, the highest in the game. And 10 second EMP or 5 second stun is too overpowered, and nothing will tell me otherwise. With Viking OD supercharged with Dictator, you can expect to be EMP'd inside a dome with 60 seconds of EMP time. Or 30 seconds of stun time. If that's not overpowered, idk what is.

Or maybe even a meme song? Like a Tanki themed version of The Next Episode by Snoop Dogg, or even Eduard Khil's very popular song "I am very glad, because I'm finally returning back home". Who knows? Get creative, everyone!

Neither, I would've probably preferred a paint like Mt Fuji, but Spectrum is a good throwback to the good old days of 2017, when we only had 3 animated paints (Flow, Nightmare and Spectrum). Nice to see it in this challenge!
-
Nah man, your chances of finding me are next to none, because I'll be offline for like 23 hours of 24 hours this event is live (per day)
-
My Striker Cyclone is looking forward to this event. It can do like 730 damage a rocket, and with that much, that would make enough damage to kill multiple Wasp Thunders. ?
-
Nah, even then it'll still be $51 for me, not worth it.
-
I don't know, but I have a friend that would be willing to test it out by buying the ultra containers and getting the Vampire Nanobots augment. ?
-
I don't really play the game much anymore, but I can say, this is a good update, the new Trickster reduces the paywall behind Crisis by an amount. But still, 30% is less than 70%, so the paywall is still there, but the paywall is a bit smaller now. Vampire Nanobots increases the paywall behind Isida now, but I think this will be one of the worse ultra container only augments, because healing is decreased, which I feel like is needed for Isida. Also the damage crits are gone, which is once again worse than current Isida, since hardly anyone has Armadillo except for those who got lucky on this event, in the special missions, or forked out hundreds to get it. Also if you both have double armor and double damage activated, you will do 0.75 * 1.33 the current common damage amount, which is 0.9975, which makes the enemy survive slightly longer in longer periods of time, although in smaller "chunks" of damage, this will be nearly non-existent. Thank you once again for an interesting update, not just for us free-to-play players but also for the buyers in the game.
-
Sounds complicated and interesting! Although doesn't the Overdrive sound a bit like Hunter's?
-
You can only collect the rewards if you reach a planet. It is not a bug, it's intended.
-
Yes, but I mean sometimes these challenges get completed and there are no rewards for them. Also, I know that only the fastest one can win a challenge. Although I might read the post a bit more carefully in case I missed something.
-
Is it just me, or are people not getting prizes for these challenge when they complete them? I did a challenge on multiple occasions, and when the results are released the following day it doesn't even say I complete the challenge. Am I missing something, or did I not even complete those challenges right (almost all of them were question related btw)? I just wanted to ask, because it's kind of annoying when I go to do a challenge and it doesn't even show that I completed that challenge, or if anyone did, in the results in the next few days.
