Augments is a dumb word that no one uses except for people studying basic music theory. Alterations just sounds better. The developers already reversed (made it less bad) the big update so I think this change can happen and should happen.

You forgot to change augments back to alterations

If I were a dev, I would propose: 1. Give back a weaker version of the original self heal 2. Slight nerf to the damage output 3. Decrease energy expenditure for damaging 4. 20 exp for a complete heal 5. Add a nostalgia option to have the original isida beam into the game (the one that looked like a taser) The original version was OP... a melee heal gun that outclasses both firebird and freeze in 1 v 1s. If we kind of return it to its former glory while I think that is suitable. -
In my opinion, if the devs really need that extra revenue, they should consider splitting alterations into tier 1 and tier 2 alterations. Tier 1 alterations are basically the alterations they way they currently are - only buffs no downsides - while Tier 2 alterations could be the pre-update alterations - slight buff with slight downside. Tier 1 alterations should only be in containers while tier 2 alterations can be purchased through the garage.

Rio. Nostalgia, fun, unique, came out the day I joined the game. Silence, Noise (before it was renamed to Magnum), and Polygon are also easy picks. Skyscrapers, Scope, and Novel are also some interesting favorites that I would like to throw in.

I'm saying that the devs should create completely new original maps that provide a completely refreshing gameplay experience. Not MM rip-offs.

There's no such thing as a "P2W" scale. It either is or it isn't. Tanki is P2W because spending real money on the game definitely gives you benefits that would be extremely hard to receive as a free player. That doesn't mean you can't compete as a free player though.

When was the last time the developer's actually finished something in time for the deadline?

The only map I can foresee a lot of players doing this is Massacre.

In my opinion mines shouldn't even exist in the game. It's a great way to make the game unplayable and a stalemate because you're a titan magnum who camps in the back of the base, drops 6 mines at a time with the saboteur drone, and then places a titan dome ever 5 seconds from the insane amount of kills you can get.

MK Update also made it possible see warrant officer 5's with better equipment than i do as a legend. Paint separation ruined the game. It devalued paints while inflating the prices of paints at the same time. Moreover, small maps that are like 3 v 3's are unplayable and slow because people can essentially have a permanent double armor. Archipelago is probably to the maximum extent of the developer's creativity. New battle modes would be nice if they were actually decent and original. I hate space mode as much as you do, but weather mode would be pretty cool.

Devs should focus on new maps
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Devs should focus on new maps Archive
Right now, the devs have to balance old players and people who are looking for a newer game in order to keep the game alive. However, most updates they made are divisive and they simply anger the player base more. I think the only type of "safe" update they can ever make is the addition of a new map. A main issue of Tanki X (out of like the hundred problems with TX) is that TX originally only had like 5 maps you could play on. There was Rio, Silence, Sandbox, rip-off Barda, Kungur, and Iran-Contra. Those are some solid maps; however, if you keep playing the same map over and over again the gameplay gets extremely extremely stale. Then they added Mars (i think that was called or was it ares) and then they added this epic tank carrier map with platforms that could launch your tank to the other side of the map. But still the gameplay was super repetitive and basically forced me to quit before completing my first season on my account. With the introduction of MMS, Tanki is slowly regressing to the staleness of TX. The same old maps. The same old modes. The same old battles. Tanki needs to fix this by creating new maps because to my knowledge, TO has only introduced like 5 maps (Rio, Cologne, Aleksandrovsk, that weird map i don't know the name of that kinda looks like an offspring of the christmas assault map, and archipelago) in the past 7 years. At the same time, TO has abandoned many many maps that used to be popular such as Noise, Skyscrapers, Arena, Island, and Monte Carlo. This is an issue since the game becomes too boring to play. So, while the devs are sitting on the toilet, desperately thinking about new ideas with good intentions that would end up ruining the game, they should consider creating new maps. And I don't mean just like 1 or 2 new maps. They should introduce around 15 new maps by the end of this year. They can be cycled into MMS while kicking out some older unpopular MMS maps such as Massacre. The devs need to become extremely creative with the new maps. Recently created maps like that weird map i don't know the name of that looks like the christmas assault map is plain boring. They need new super cool maps. Moreover, I don't think it necessarily takes a long time creating a single map. I remember when they got rid of Platform... that was a fun map. If the devs can't think of a completely gameplay-changing map, they should start create-a-map events amongst the players that will have winners' entries be incorporated into the actual game. -
I do agree that there is need for change, but there is no need to throw overboard the respected aspects of the game. For example, the M0-M3 to MK update was a complete waste of time. It doesn't attract any new players and it probably just threw away the most core piece of progression, besides ranking up, in the game. Another example is the paint-module separation update of like 6 years ago. Paints were a respected part of the game that everyone was comfortable with. Now, paint prices inflated by double the amount they used to cost, even though they are stripped of any usefulness because their protections are gone, and then now battles are slower than ever because everyone has triple 50% protections against the most common turrets. Examples of change that everyone no one can actually dislike are new maps, game modes, and completely new features (e.g. night mode, weather mode, space mode, etc)
