Get an m3 turret/hull combo first and then think about your modules. The Magnums do get nastier at m3/m4 because people actually know how to use them at any range at these ranks, and they get even more OP.

M0 Magnums shooting gold boxes literally.

Hmm.... I really want to start a youtube channel called sensei but unfortunately no one views :( There are only like 4 successful TO channels out there but with 30k subscribers. Our channels are not going to grow if we don't have any subscribers in the first place because they not gonna sponsor anyone with probably less than 5k subscribers.

I am a free-to-play (never spent a single crystal on the game) player and I think the economy has improved a lot. I gave it a 3 meaning that I think it is nearly perfect. I own 7 m3s, most of those m3 are halfway to m4. This game is not pay to win. Everything that can only be obtained through spending IRL money or through containers are cosmetics. You don't need them. Like I just said, I have 7 m3s (5 m3 turrets, 2 m3 hulls) and free-2-play. This shows that even you can get all this stuff without spending real money. M4s are not for buyers only. I can testify that I have many friends who have a fully m4 combo who doesn't spend money on the game. To succeed in this game, you only need a good turret and hull. As a free to play, there are still some drawbacks, which is the reason why I did not vote perfect. You can't get enough protection modules and you can't try out every single combo in the game. That's what alt accounts are for, which stinks because I have to grind EXP from the beginning again to try out a new combo. I don't have a real protection module (still using that LGC-36 Spark) and that is actually a significant disadvantage when all of your opponents have them against you. But right now, I think the economy is really favorable towards people who spend a little time every day. With the mission rewards amplified up, how are you still broke? Honestly, you really can't be now. I think the devs are doing a very good job with the economy right now, now please just nerf magnum.

Alright, I made it multiple choice.

Kits vs MUing vs Straight-up Buying
sensei_tanker replied to sensei_tanker in Kits vs MUing vs Straight-up Buying Archive
There are basically 3 strategies to upgrade your equipment these days. Some people always save up and buy a kit of the next modification. (never bought a kit in my life) Some people always MU their turret/hull to the next modification. (i only MU my m3s) Some people always just straight-up buy the next modification of turret/hull. (like me) I don't know which one is the best or which one saves the most crystals or is the most effective... which strategy is the best? -
True and because it is always on high-caliber ammo.
-
Simple. Many people have the philosophy "If it's not broken, don't fix it". The updates of 2013/2014 rocked because they were truly fixing something that was lacking or missing in the game. Now, the updates are simply changing those updates which were not that bad. The Developers have the philosophy that if nothing is new, then people will get bored. So they go ahead and change things. But people don't like this.

??? Most of the alterations don't even make the turret better or make it a throwback.

It already has auto-aim! When I'm standing right in front of an enemy magnum and it shoots over me, I still get hit.

It always one shots light hulls...

Couldn't the hacker just disable the option when he/she hacks in? -
Did someone call my name?

Who cares about longer reload if you are not dumb enough to miss a normal shot and if you can one shot the enemy instead of taking the time for 2 shot?

How to name and describe what Tanki calls Tank Controls?
sensei_tanker replied to r_Issimo2 in Archive
Can someone pls explain to me what the new controls are specifically? -
Magnum? Which one is that?
-
Your excuses that it was the old railgun is not valid. The old railgun was OP that they nerfed it. Oh please. When I post a thunder nerf thread, everyone says everyone uses Thunder module. When I post a railgun nerf thread, everyone says everyone uses Railgun module. -_-
-
Magnum is OP. But this is a rail alt nerf thread.
-
Railgun High-Caliber Ammo Nerf It's THE alteration. It's actually OP. Legit allows you to easily one-shot light hulls without DP and easily one-shot unsuspecting medium or heavies with DP. When was the last time I've seen a railgun without this alteration on? Pretty much every alteration in the game sucks except for this one, and I don't see why the most favored turret in the game should have it. Not many people will support this nerf because practically everyone uses it. The stats itself don't look menacing but it's stupidly OP.

Everything is useless against railgun m4 + alt. That railgun alt itself needs nerf. Anyways, Clay is a ricochet paint.- 2,786 replies

I get your point maf, but I feel like almost everyone has protection against my turrets. The odds of the enemy team adjusting their protection modules so that it covers your turret is very high because you have 3 modules for 10 enemies, and usually 2 or 3 of the enemies use the same turret. This is especially magnified in small maps where there are only 4 people and only a small amount of viable turrets to use.- 2,786 replies

Nerf Protection Modules! Uh... this is probably an idea that everyone hates but I have to give it a shot. So.... protection modules are too OP. Honestly, as long as you wear an m3 protection module, you are usually immortal against half of the enemy team. Legends are not good because they have m4 turrets/hulls or superior skills... it's just that they all have protection modules that defend 50% against all of the turrets in the game. In Pro battles, you usually can't counterdrug to cancel out the 50%. In non-Pro battles, they can have double armor on and they are able to have a whopping 75% protection against 3 turrets. Literally, the bullets already do barely anything to a tank at above 25% protection, even 35% is an overkill. People will adjust their protection modules so they can be protected against the maximum amount of enemy players, and I would say that a standard 3-protections module will defend against half of the enemy team. As hulls get more armor, turrets do more dps. But as protection modules do more protection, nothing is there to balance it out. The game is not suited to be that slow-paced game where it takes like 7 railgun shots to destroy an enemy or you have to completely reload your firebird and use the entire energy gauge twice to destroy an enemy. I get how if everyone is allowed to wear protection modules, it's technically fair but it takes annoyingly long to kill an enemy. But if your enemy has protection module against your own turret, you simply cannot destroy the enemy for the entire match. Idea: m0 protections should stay at 10%. m1 protections should be 15%. m2 protections should be at 20%. m3 protections should be 25%. I understand how this will make protection modules overpriced... but it's equally overpriced for everyone. Also, this update doesn't nerf that annoying Lumberjack module. But seriously, PLEASE NERF MODULES. It will make the game easier to enjoy.- 2,786 replies
