How do players even complete these things or are even willing to complete them? In one year of actively playing TO, I've got around 40k kills in total. And 2k kills is 5% of that!
-
Completely agree with you on 1, but sadly it's unlikely to change. Every other game I've seen gets matchmaking improved over time to make it fairer . . . except for Tanki Online. On the subject of number 2, matchmaking will not be forced on you. When that update rolls out, you will have a choice between using matchmaker or making your own PRO battles for free. The only downside is that you will not be able to complete mission in custom battles.
-
Because few people have a new turret like Striker.
-
What do you use to record? The quality of your videos is always top-notch.
-
Interesting alteration, but the downside seems a little excessive. As far as I know those modes have alterations off by default.
-
Erm, you know he was asked what updates he thought were good?
-
90% of the downsides you mentioned are tiny. I also completely disagree with your criticism of early battle termination and unification of MUs. Early battle termination works fine, and MUs are SO much cheaper now.
-
I don't know about you, but all I've seen was things like swearing at the devs, spamming "noob update," and the like.
-
So I guess they should ask every single player of TO whether they want this or that update? It doesn't work that way. Besides, if you didn't know, this update was actually submitted in the Ideas and Suggestions section by a player and was supported by many. It wouldn't even exist if the players didn't want it. To all of you who are saying it wasn't tested: that's not true. It was on test server a few days ago.

Why Mammoth, Dictator and Hornet are still worth using
ThirdOnion replied to TakeAShower in Writers' Corner
Having used Mammoth and Wasp, I disagree. EDIT: Actually this is a confusing thing. Mammoth has better acceleration, but worse reverse acceleration. This means it takes longer to get to it's top speed, but easier to change directions for Wasp. -

Real life physics doesn't apply in Tanki. On the wiki it says power is m/s2, which is units of acceleration. Yes, Mammoth has better acceleration than Wasp, but much lower top speed. -
You are a low rank. People are still learning the game, believe it or not. When I first started out, I didn't turn my turret either. Why? I went and looked at the stats and saw that Hunter's traverse speed was better than that of Twins (my main combo was Twins Hunter). My head spun when I turned my turret, because this was the first 3d game I played, so I thought: "Why bother turning it when I can just turn my hull?" Eventually I saw videos of players at M3 turning their turrets and I began forcing myself to do it, whether I needed to or not, just to get used to the camera movement. Of course everything became better from there on. To some players there is no incentive. It works to turn your hull, so why bother with the turret? But high rank players who can't find Z and X keys? That's a different story . . . In the end though, I got better because I had the desire to get better. I saw those Generalissimos and though I wanted to be them like them. For many players, it just doesn't matter. They are content with how they play, so they carry on doing what they do, even at high ranks.

Every time there is a large update there is lag. It will pass after a few days.

It seems that chat channels are OK after all. Message density is obviously greater, but still readable. To be fair, I generally get on when there are few players, so this observation may not be representative of all times.

That's an old video from like 2015. If you look at the current values on the wiki Wasp has worse power and worse reverse acceleration than Hornet. -
valid Cologne map: team spawn points needs to be more spread out

How about just make the castles taller so that Magnum can't shoot over them easily? -

Ok, so I am always saying how much better Viking is than Hunter even though I don't actually have Hunter. Sometimes I think I am biased. Yesterday I tried Hunter M2 out on test server. -
NO. We don't need more splash damage in the game. Developers said self-healing will never be added, besides, that has been suggested a thousand time already.
-
I am not concerned so much about spam as I am of the sheer volume of messages that will be going through. I feel one General chat channel won't be enough, but I don't know the statistics.

Perhaps for once it's good to be a buyer ;) -
Thank you for making such an interesting video!

I am concerned about the chat channels. Let's say there are 20,000 players online. Some of them will use other chat channels, but the majority of players who use chat will be using the general channel. There are going to be a LOT of messages, from all the servers and from different nationalities, and it seems that it will be impossible to have a decent conversation with somebody without resorting to PM.

What browser are you using? Some people have reported problems with Edge. Also, are you sure you are using Flash version of Tanki and not HTML5?
-
If I said "probably yes" it wouldn't sound as good.
-
Yes and yes, provided you don't pay for speed-ups.
