What I have been doing is attacking squares that are directly next to a square with a dot in it, as due to the spacing requirement and the fact that you must place all 7 objects on the battlefield. It is reasonable to assume that at least some of the tanks are next to a square with a dot in it (an empty square). For instance, in the layout shown in the tutorial, the red line indicates empty (vacant) squares which are equivalent to the grey dots you see on your opponents battlefield. So if you attack next to those empty squares (which I indicated by green crosses) you are likely to hit something .... eventually. For the tutorial case above it would hit the juggernaut. If I were you I would attack the squares all around the enemies' mine, starting at the centre of the battlefield (as this is the most probable region to find a tank). Then, work your way around the mine to the edges. There is no right or wrong way to play this as ultimately it depends on luck, I'm just applying basic [Logic].

You don't seem like you need any help, you have already won one battle as I see, so you clearly know what to do. I STILL haven't won even one match yet as I am struggling to find the time to get the units of energy required to destroy the opponent's Battle Tanks, or maybe it's because I never played Battle Ships as a child ? in which case I suck at this minigame ? I am curious about something though, if you don't mind me asking; how many units of energy did it take you to win your first battle?

Tank-Noir got eliminated yet..... yet I see something that says differently: ?
-
Well done, brilliant! I'm laughing at my own stupidity now; I can't believe I overlooked this in the rules. Thanks guys.

Just a quick question, we are now in the second race, if my team (Tank-Noir) gets eliminated from this race do I still receive these rewards: I know if my team is eliminated from this second race I won't be in the next (third) race, but, if I get 90 stars and my team is eliminated do I still receive these rewards from the second race?

Does anyone know how to use the striker vacuum missiles augment effectively? By 'effectively', I mean like the player in first place did here: I have this augment and watched YouTube videos by Jumper, but I just cannot get used to it. You have to remote detonate the rockets and I think you need a fast gaming PC. I have tried with it many times but using a mechanical keyboard and hitting the space bar at just the right moment is hard to get used to.

Yeah, it is a shame about the rewards, it's nice to finally have an (almost) free event though. Just wished they packed some rare augments into the mix; like Viking-Driver for instance for say 60 stars. But if that actually happened nearly everyone would get that augment and it would cease to be 'rare'. From my perspective, this whole event is a statistical experiment to see how far tankers are willing to go to get free rewards.

Ah, I just meant that the new Striker vacuum missile augment takes a lot of skill to master, so it could be argued that it takes more skill to use than rail hyperspace, as trying to gauge the distance before remote detonating the rockets takes a lot of practice as they move incredibly fast. These are just opinions of mine and I wish people wouldn't take things so personally. Like Hypersomnia mentioned in his/her post about isida taking more skill than rail hyperspace. He/she could rightly say that I have no clue about isida, and I would have to say I agree with this. -

That was my opinion, I never said it was the most skill-based augment, only that I consider it to be the most skill-based. There was no need to take my opinion so personally and get defensive about it. Just for that, I would have to say that when you have 50+ kills and zero deaths with rail hyperspace this takes a lot of skill. How many players do you know that can do that? In the screens I showed in the last post I was at the back of the ally base, but this is not always the case and I have to move around a lot to get more kills. Timing the shots (due to the rail warmup time) with rail whilst moving fast and being able to aim accurately all while trying to predict when the enemy tanks will line-up is a skill that takes years to master. You don't have to aim much with an isida do you? The second paragraph of your message shows that you have no clue about the skill it takes to use rail hyperspace, people always say 'hiding behind a teammate is easy', This is typical of noobs that don't have the skill to kill as many as me with it. -

Hi again. I am a big fan of railgun, in particular rail Hyperspace. I consider it to be the most skill-based augment in this game, with only Striker-Vacuum missiles as an exception. The problem is that very few maps are good for rail Hyperspace now that rail damage is distant dependent, so as soon as I see that the map is good for rail, I switch immediately to rail as I want to spend as much time as possible with it on that map. I'm not interested in trying to win games; I only play to kill. I have well over a thousand hours with rail, and I play for moments like this (5 kills in one shot): I'm such a hardcore rail fan even if every single opponent has 50% rail protection I will still equip rail if the map is good for rail kills: In fact, even if they all have 50% rail protection nothing can save them from a rail shot dealing more than 200K damage (except of course the lifeguard augment). So that is why I want to switch my turret immediately (as soon as I see the map). The goal is to kill as many as possible without dying, even once. -

Okay, okay. I'm not doing a very good job of explaining this so I will try again. Yes, you are right, pressing tab does tell me who is using what weapon, but simply being assigned with a name to each turrret is still not good enough to deduce which protections to use. Put another way, I can't tell how good each player is just by looking at a 'list', nor can I remember how good each player is with a particular turret simply by seeing their name. Hence, I think 4 minutes or so is an adequate amount of time (though not exemplary) to roam around and see players using their turrets, how well they are playing, etc. By this I can roughly gauge how effective they are with their respective turrets and thus make a strategic decision about which protection modules to equip. I hope this makes better sense now. Sorry for the lack of proper explanation until now. -

For your information I ALWAYS hit tab at the start of the battle. But that's not good enough, just pressing tab does not tell you which players are using which turrets. Now it is more important to have protection against highly skilled buyers using say Vacuum Missiles for Striker than it is for a bunch of noobs using some other Striker augment that is less dangerous. That is why I said you need about 4 min to look around and see who is using what and how good they are. That's kinda brainless on your end for not considering this. -
Hi, it seems to be working for now thanks

That one bullet point in red is enough to make me rage-quit the game. So let me get this right, if I am placed in a battle with a map that is very good for Rail and I change my turret to Rail straight away. Then 4 minutes or so later when I have figured out which protections to equip after seeing what the enemy is mostly using I CAN'T CHANGE THE PROTECTION MODULES !!!! ???? That is so bad, I am disgusted with this. -
Yeah, I managed to get it working for a bit, but now there is another problem: the ping is sky-high, making the game unplayable again even though I can get into a battle.
-
I was merely answering your question, you said "When has there ever been any compensation", not 'when has there been compensation lately' (say HTML5 onwards). Sorry if I misunderstood you. Regards.

Here is my end-game: I got everything I wanted and did not have to spend that many Tankoins to get these rewards. Overall, I think I spent slightly over 3000 Tankoins, which isn't that much more than the best reward - the Elite Pass costing 2300 Tankoins. 15 rare containers and a week of premium were also very helpful. Nice to have a cost-effective minigame event for a change

ControlChannelDisconnectException
ILLUSION-ZONE replied to ILLUSION-ZONE in ControlChannelDisconnectException Archive
I've been unable to log into the game today and the error message is as follows: I have tried using both the client and web browser, also, I've used different browsers like FireFox and Chrome and even used a different computer. But the result is the same and the error message always appears. The strange part is that today the game was working fine for 45 minutes and then this error appeared and won't go away. I would like to know if anyone else is seeing this error at this time and how to fix it. Many thanks. -
I disagree, the last two events (Cybertank 2024 and Memo 2024) are actually relatively cheap compared to events like "Build and Fight" and "Sakura Blossom" and the other 'Island games' that came before that. Cybertank 2024 could in principle be completed without spending any Tankoins (excluding the event pass at 700 Tankoins), as you could just keep buying the Silver contracts with crystals. This Memo 2024 is also a cheap way to get lots of supplies/containers; but not as cheap as Cybertank 2024.

Actually, there used to be compensation for buying certain items from the shop that you already own. As a game veteran, I know this, but this was approximately a decade ago when the Flash player still existed.
-
Very well then, thanks for explaining.
-
How do you know that? Where does it say?
-
It will be the next one as the awards are given out after that challenge ends.
-
I already have twins GT, is there compensation if I get the skin again?
-
Okay, thank you for showing me this. The funny part is I was clicking that button, which was getting me nowhere. In the end, I gave up and embedded links instead. I was using the wrong link after pressing that button (not the direct link as you mentioned); I chalk it down to old age ? Thanks so much for explaining this!
