    Bruh it sucks! Funfact about the nerf.....Gauss is now actually even more potent against a Striker now. Even though both turrets have a 0.7 aiming recovery time, Striker has the harder blow because one shot from a Gauss (whether it be a random Gauss or a Gauss that the Striker is 1v1-ing) is enough to knock the aim of the Striker out long enough so that the Striker will lose its target acquisition before it can ever fire a salvo. Gauss locks on faster. Gauss shoots first. Gauss' impact force knocks the Striker's aim off. Less then a second pass, and Striker loses it's lock-on.

    Agreed. Actually, it didn't even need the recent buff with the even faster reload and double critical damage. It's way too strong right now. Only reason why people would ever say it's "balanced" is because it can now somewhat compete against Railgun and Magnum and Shaft., but those turrets themselves are overpowered anyway. All four need nerfs....as well as Gauss.

    Because Thunder would be useless. AND it would be a further, indirect nerf to Twins, Ricochet, Firebird, and Freeze, turrets that are kinda struggling in the MM meta right now cause Gauss, Railgun, Magnum, Shaft, and Striker (all of which have 1000 meter range lol) are ruling everything. It was in Gauss' shadow. But just because of that, doesn't mean it's "not that good". In fact, it was actually really balanced prior to the critical damage update. I could use it finely for....5 or 6 months ever since I got it during Black Friday 2020. And now, since it got buffed to the extreme, I now do extremely well with it. Striker before April 2021 was pretty much perfect when compared to its closest cousin, Thunder. For years, Striker would have higher DPS than Thunder (the two turrets had similar damage but Thunder's reload was much slower, so Striker could have a higher damage output due to its similar damage to Thunder but faster arcade reload) but Thunder had better accuracy to compensate. Overall, a pro player who knew how to aim their arcade shots with Striker would be far superior to a Thunder player simply because of Striker's higher DPS. Not only that, Striker has 1000 meter range, meaning an ultra-pro Striker player could beat a Thunder at long distances. However, this isn't the case most of the time as these seemingly strong perks of Striker are nulled due to the slow-ish projectile speeds of its missiles. Before April 2021, Thunder was the more "reliable" turret but Striker was the "stronger" turret between the two. Gauss was just extremely overpowered. And even with the 0.7 aiming recovery time, it still is because the trouble with Gauss is that you can't see it (which means you can't run and hide from it unless Gauss shoots you. Until then, you won't usually know it's locked onto you) and it does way too much damage and it splashes to all your teammates as well. Railgun....you can't see it either, like Gauss and it does high damage too, but at least it doesn't wipe out the whole team with one or two shots.

    No, but I have fought against it and it is extremely annoying. EMP Gauss on it's own is strong, but because it removes all your supplies, it effectively boosts all of it's teammates as well because all your enemies can also attack you while you are without supplies. Yeah, but sadly wanna know why this isn't a very big nerf? Unlike Striker, Gauss has no laser sight that gives its location away to its enemies. A Gauss that's out of your field of vision can just randomly snipe you and you won't know it till they already shot ya. Aiming recovery time is a big nerf for Striker because it allows enemies to run and hide from the laser. However, Gauss has no laser at all so it enemies won't know it's sniping them unless the Gauss and it's target are looking at each other face-to-face.

    Just because something got nerfed doesn't mean it doesn't need more nerfs. EMP Salvo is still OP, as long as it can wipe out a group of players' supplies for a long duration AND it still does relatively high damage per sniping shot. Also, the reload and lock-on is too short, that it guarantees an EMP-lock if your targets don't move out of the way. And even if the targets move out of the way and behind cover, you can just snipe someone else near them and the splash effect will still EMP the guys that are hiding. 10 meters is still pretty big.

    This is a great idea that my friend actually came up with as well. Not only would it make the game less annoying (cause overdrives like Hopper and Viking make this the case and so removing overdrives or nerfing the power of all overdrives down to a point where using them won't make you "GodMode" can also help reduce the annoyance), but it would also bring more "slots" for new hulls to fill. Because right now, since all hulls either have 1000, 1500, or 2000 health (Mk1), there really is no reason at all to add a new hull (cough, cough, Crusader). In fact, we technically only need 6 hulls. Two would be 1000 health, two at 1500, and two at 2000 (Mk1). And each pair of hulls would be similar to the relationship between Viking and Hunter. One hull in each class is faster, the other one has better agility to compensate for the slower speed.

    Yeah cause why would you wanna use Dictator when Viking has the better speed and Hunter has way better agility? And Dictator's hitbox is HUGE so its at a major disadvantage unless it gets increased health to compensate for the hitbox and reduced speed for a medium hull. And Mammoth is arguably pretty useless in most MM maps because Titan's smaller hitbox and faster speed and better maneuverability make it far superior to Mammoth, especially since for some reason they have the same health, even though Titan is the leaner and faster hull and Mammoth is the bulkier one of the two. It's the same problems with the turrets lol. Why do Ricochet and Twins have the same exact range, even though Ricochet's projectiles have a much faster traveling speed and hit harder (more impact force and damage) than Twins'? And the same can be asked for Smoky and Thunder. Thunder should honestly have longer range cause it's damage and reload are much closer to the likes of Railgun than Smoky is. Doesn't make sense why the big-caliber tank turret (Thunder) has the same range as the peashooter (no offense to Smoky, but it's a basic peashooter in the Tanki universe). And why does Striker and Thunder do the same exact damage (880)? Striker has the smaller explosions and weaker projectiles, doesn't make sense at all. Those are just some weird uniformed stats I noticed.
  11. Yeah but you'll be sacrificing daily missions which means you'll lose stars from your challenge. Huh.... I mean, would it be way better if the developers did one of the following things: Increase the font size so players can easily read what each button says Change the colors of the Upgrade and Micro-Upgrade buttons so they will better contrast each other so that players can easily tell the difference between the two Add a confirmation pop-up whenever you press the micro-upgrade button so you don't accidentally micro-upgrade things you don't want I mean, they could've done one of the aforementioned things and it would benefit both new and old players. And at the same time, keep the upgrade system as flexible as it always has been for the past 5 or 6 years.

    The only Pro is that Dictator is the most stable and heavy medium hull, so it's not as susceptible to impact as Hunter and Viking are. To be honest, it really needs a health buff, because it's like 1.5 times the size of Hunter and Viking, yet it only has the same health, which makes no sense at all.
  14. The only time I'll ever accept Hopper as being part of Tanki is when the developers add tank tracks onto it and remove it's ability to hover entirely.

    Why isn't Competitive mode still a thing?

    It's mainly because everyone is worrying about playing MM battles because 99% of the rewards today are focused in matchmaking battles. Only the very small percentage of players who have all their desired equipment and/or at max level end up having time for hours-long Pro Battles.

    For me, Tanki Online "died" when they released Challenges and nerfed the weekly mission regular container rewards, back in early 2019. And then, the game was "revived" with two updates: Adding stars to missions in October 2020 Releasing Shards, adding Shards to missions, and the daily free container in January 2021 And then the game died again, because of three, and soon to be, four updates: Giving all the turrets critical damage and removing the damage spreads. Also making critical damage bypass Protections and messing with numerous "perfect" alterations and giving some turrets absurd critical damages. Releasing a fourth protection module slot for 5,000 tankcoins. But the worse thing is, the 2nd and 3rd protection module slots are no longer free. You need to pay 50 and 500 tankcoins for them now. What's even sadder is that the crystal prices for the modules themselves aren't reduced at all or anything in order to "compensate" for the unfree slots. Nerfing supplies. This is good.......but...the developers just had to make the drones buff the supplies back to normal. Now if you don't have a drone, you will suffer. And unless you spend money on Speed-Ups, you will have to wait at least 200 days or over a year to upgrade the drone to a level where your supplies can actually do stuff. Removing the option to micro-upgrade equipment when you already reached the rank for the next modification. Sighhhhhhhhhhhh
  17. Honestly, the only reason why DM became "unpopular" was because.... A sudden increase in gamemodes in the recent years, with Assault, Rugby, Juggernaut, and Siege, which doubled the gamemodes and basically halved the number of players playing in each gamemode (although CTF has remained popular somewhat) Horrid updates that the developers have released since 2019 that ended up making a massive amount of players leave or go on hiatus from Tanki.

    Actually, Hammer's bounce is pretty useful and it kinda needed the buff 4 years ago. It helps because Hammer has a very similar effective range as Firebird, Freeze, and Isida, but it has much less DPS compared to them and missing just a few pellets may cost you a perfect kill, so it kinda needs the buff.

    I got lucky that I started upgrading my drone since Black Friday 2020, so now it's Level 12/20 and it's "alright" for battles lol. But no, the game itself isn't that fun anymore.

    Explosive Rounds is really balanced right now. What should be changed is default Smoky, not Explosive Rounds; make it so that all Smokies don't ricochet. it was an unnecessary and useless buff. Only Smoky with Rubberized Rounds can bounce.
  23. This is truly a horrible update. Also, I believe the developers are doing it to encourage more people to spend tankcoins/crystals on Product kits in the shop, instead of Micro-Upgrading. That's just my theory.

    I feel like it's just achievements or a new type of special mission. Or like Brawl Stars, where finishing "quests" add progress to the season pass (challenge). Which, I guess is what the daily missions do now...but "quests" aren't "daily". Instead, they last all season long. Or all "Challenge" long in Tanki's terms.
