By "another benefit", if you mean remove vulcan's overheating completely and find another method of preventing vulcan players from shooting non-stop, this requires time and resources. Finding another suitable replacement that works well will be difficult, which is why, atleast for short-term, reduce the self-heating damage.

Yeah but then vulcan will just turn into twins version 2.0 where players will just fire continuously non-stop which I don't think is a good idea. The only thing frustrating of vulcan's overheating effect is the immense and rapid burn damage it does to you. What they should do is substantially decrease the overheating damage giving you a chance to still play and live through self-heating because right now, if you overheat, your basically dead unless you have an isida near you that feels bad.

I agree, dictator, titan and mammoth work the best with vulcan, specifically dictator and titan. Other than that, the other hulls struggle in MM battles simply due to the fact that OD's are crucial nowadays, and using them effectively along with your hull determines your success in battles. However, I do like that TO dev's recognize this problem and that they are attempting to readjust and rework the turret. That being said, the update didn't really do much, they still need to look into the turret and acknowlege their player's opinions and suggestions.

Yeah, as a vulcan player myself with m3 vulcan and almost m4 dictator, vulcan consistently gets me 3 stars with no sweat because I play with it very well. I was just trying to point out that I rarely see other vulcan players, like once every 5 or so games in my ranks MM battles. That was a benefit though, because as you pointed out, literally no one had vulcan protection modules equipped. However, I would like to see vulcan become a popular turret in today's MM meta, but I feel like turrets such as gauss dominate the playing field. Hoping that this new update to vulcans mechanics resolves this, as the high-skill (in my opinion) required for this turret makes it less appealing, especially in the beginner ranks which carries on throughout the rest of the game.

No way TO dev's will release all the skins at once because by doing so they lose money. Vulcan Skin will most likely be part of the challenges or some other type of contest, as well as the shop of course. Releasing them one at a once defeats the point of special skins to. I just hope that vulcan does get buffed and becomes viable in the current state of tanki's MM.

Yeah, seeing a vulcan player is a rare thing lol. It's even more rare to see a vulcan player use the turret effectively.

For siege, you can calculate which team is going to win and it's accurate a good amount of times. (# of titans on team #1 - # of hunters on team #2) and vice versa for the other team. The team with the greater titan score will win. I've literally lost games in siege against 2 titans, where they would go to the point, and titan #1 activates dome and right when it runs out, titan #2 activates dome. If the enemy team doesn't have a hunter, it is impossible to win. They should honestly do something about titan's and hunter's OD in siege. Maybe just disable OD's in siege.

Exactly lol. I swear, every game mode has turned into TDM, espicially when your a player starts losing. They see their down a flag, abandon the objective of the game and just start going for the top score for 3 stars. Personally, I think that the whole concept of stars needs to be reworked. TO dev's just copied modern day MM, it was better without stars and when you could actually choose the map you wanted to play in.

Sounds like a good idea, but implementing it into the game while keeping it balanced will be difficult. Maybe something like the enemy being stunned every few seconds or so. Or, they could just restore vulcan's damage by buffing it.

Yeah, that update just killed vulcan completely. It wasn't even a super popular turret, and I still don't understand as to why they nerfed vulcan. The current state of MM is dominated by gauss and short-ranged turrets, so without a damage increase on vulcan, the turret struggles to deal with these types of players, espicially brand new players.

Yeah, I've tried out vulcan with viking OD and it's nowhere near comparable to the effectiveness, of say, rail with viking OD. I think this just goes back to players strategically choosing their hull according to their turret and subseuqent alteration. With vulcan, I find that dictator's or titan's OD pairs up well.

Nice, I watched and read through a few of them. Vulcan Wasp doesn't seem to be a bad combo in m2 ranks. In my opinion, vulcan in general is under rated, and players should definetely give it a go. I'd say it's a high skill cap turret, due to the overheating, the close range difficulties etc. but if a knowledgable player uses it, it can be quite effective, as you demonstrated. And lol, nice nest of spoilers, couldn't forget to mention that.

Yeah, some players load in, press tab, judge their team or if they are juggernaut and then leave right away. And yes, the wasp/hornet's in ctf and assault at the start are just...

Yeah, close matches with fairly well-balanced teams are a rare phenomenom now.
