review Mission: Equilibrium - Patch 636 Analyzed

oh cool. You're a newspaper reporter now. Nice work man. -
It has changed for the better. The jerky movements are gone. But problem where the hull is stuck for a fraction of a second after the shot is still there.

"Champoin" paint. XD

I wonder who? :P

I don't remember exactly when you left, but since then the way some overdrives interact changed. Wasp's bomb can now deal full damage in a titan dome(but if a dome is place over a bomb after the bomb was planted, the bomb is disabled). A new hull called Ares has an overdrive that can deal damage ignoring the dome. Recently, the hornet OD rebalance means that if a hornet activates overdrive with you in sight, you get an Armor Pierced status effect for 9 seconds. If you have this status effect, anyone who shoots you will deal full damage ignoring DA, modules and even titan's dome. So now, titan's dome has so many counters within Overdrives alone(wasp, hornet, hunter, other titans, mammoth, ares). So now if you are putting down a dome, what you are doing is setting up a nice visual signal for your enemies to come to you, use one of the overdrives and get some free kills out of you and all the other team mates who decided to enter your dome.

20 posts means the story is over. Now we need to wait for @F41TH to come and compile it for us.

It won't be too bad. You can still use wasp, hunter, titan or mammoth to deal with it.

How long does AP status effect last? Does the duration depend on which turret or hull inflicted AP?

I assume you are asking in context of my question in the QandA section. Loot box is a (relatively) new method used by games to increase income. Tanki containers are loot boxes. Loot boxes are considered dangerous as it is a mechanic in which players pay money for a chance to get a good in-game item. They have a lot of similarities to gambling and can addict people. Many games use some psychological tricks to make people spend more money (tanki is not as bad as other games in this aspect). Many people end up spending insane amounts of money on these loot boxes (depending on the game, it can go upto 1000s of dollars). Some countries have started restricting sale of loot boxes with the main reason that these games are within access of kids (who are susceptable to gambling addiction). The wiki page contains some examples if you are interested to read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loot_box How many hours do you play tanki in a day?
-
Yeah. I am aware of all this. I'm just curious about how tanki specifically handles it.

Countries with Loot box restrictions
coconuttree replied to coconuttree in Countries with Loot box restrictions Archive
Is there any info on how tanki handles issues related to loot box restrictions in certain countries(eg Belgium). Is tanki not available in such places or are containers not sold in those countries? -
RRE is the most fun alteration in the game imo. It was also the hardest alteration to learn for me. It took around a month for me to master it. The fact that it is so rare means that most players don't know how to counter it. Many times, they won't realize what is going on. Maps with lots of bridges, platforms and short ramps are where this alteration becomes really useful. As you play with this alteration, you can experiment and find many new situations where this alteration works (for example, In Cologne, you can stay on the upper level of the fort and deal good damage to players below, and they can't even hit you) If you want to buy it, try it for some time on the test servers to see if it suits you.

Hello. This is the order in which I would do stuff 1)Learn hull overdrives. I think it is the easiest way to boost performance significantly.(At your ranks, you may find hornet has the best but it might get nerfed soon) 2)Build up supplies. Get supplies from missions and containers. Compared to 4 years ago, now everybody drugs a lot more because they are more easily available. 3)Upgrade hull and turret first. IMO you should do a single combo but others might disagree. You need around 800000 crystals to fully upgrade a combo at full price. So it is advisable to do later upgrades during the sales. Find out if your turret of choice has an OP augment. Depending on that you might decide on prioritising the augment over the upgrades. (For example railgun and firebird have very powerful augments. It might be better to buy one of them first). Most good augments cost 245000. So buy only in a 50% sale. 4)Modules: You already seem to have a few. Try to get atleast 3 to mk7 during a 50% off sale. 5)Drones are the last priority. Since they are expensive to upgrade(1million crystals), consume extra supplies and need batteries. Most drones need to be upgraded to get good effects. This is my opinion. Maybe some more experienced guys can correct or addon.

Alterations(before the augment update) were the best part of the game for me. The mega alteration update when they added most of the alterations was the best update imo. They introduced so many fun mechanics like remote rocket explosives, rgc, duplet, hyperspace and light capacitors. I agree that some alterations like corrosive mix and destabilized plasma for rico are boring(and the gauss alteration is too much), but most of the others are fun.
