    Let's Discuss Skins!

If it was like the old Super Mission days, then yes, even though only 6 XT hulls and turrets (yes, XT's were once actual equipment) existed back then.

New Container Project To Learn Reward Probability

I had 8 containers today, and I decided to open them one by one. The results are as follows: 5 Gold Boxes, 125 DA, 5 Gold Boxes, Incendiary rounds Augment (what're the odds, huh), 125 SB, 125 DA, 3500 crystals, 3500 crystals I'll add them to DaringDeer's thread.

Just as I suspected. Thanks for the clarification!

★ Tanki Online Wiki Hub ★

So I'm not satisfied with the EN Wiki's entry on the Nanomass Reactor Augment. Currently, the Wiki lists the Augment as having one advantage "Destroying an enemy reloads the energy tank" and no drawbacks. Yet, the description still says "Operational converter noticeably increases radiators' energy consumption", which indicates a clear drawback to the Augment. Looking at the patch notes, I find this for Nanomass Reactor: "Energy consumption decrease for healing mode removed." While these Patch Notes don't have anything else on Isida energy consumption, I'm still bothered by that description. Personally, I'd rather know what my equipment does rather than find out the hard way in battles, so I'd like a clarification on the matter. Edit: Here are the patch notes I'm referring to:

    Augments are back!

So Tanki finally backtracked. Still suspicious of them for temporarily locking away augments in containers.

New Container Project To Learn Reward Probability

Opened 1 container. Got 125 DA. Can't wait to get more by this weekend!
  7. Another lame update overall. For alterations, as I said when they announced this lame change in their VLOG:

Episode 250 of the V-LOG is live!

Well...looks like the devs betrayed you, and TO Support failed at telling the truth.

Episode 250 of the V-LOG is live!

All in all, another lackluster solution to the alteration problem Tanki itself created.

    NEW Ultra Containers

Fortunately, I knew these new containers were not as special as the announcement hyped it after looking at the RU Wiki, which stated that the Ultra Containers were pretty much identical to regular containers in price and contents. Only difference is the new shiny toys (i.e. the new Hunter-only alts) exclusive to the Ultra Containers, which I don't really care about. And those toys are super scarce, so Outside of good luck, it'll take much to see these containers as truly "ultra".

    Let's Discuss Striker!

So I'm thinking of maybe getting the Remote Rocket Alt for Striker. Any thoughts on it?

    Locked up indoors? FUN AWAITS!

Late reply, but yeah, after you score 100k points during the Lockdown event, you can accept the Special Mission reward anytime you want. Just make sure you accept it before the Lockdown event ends on April 13th, 02:00 UTC.

    UPDATED - Release March 20th

Well, sort of. I think my post was worded weirdly, but the idea is that Radar gets nerfed so that players have at least some sort of protection besides Lifeguard. Right now, as we both know, Radar ignores ALL defensive buffs, though each buff reduces damage by different extents (i.e. Double Armor cuts damage received by 50% while Titan's protective dome minimizes damage received by 90%). Anyways, my original idea was to have Radar merely boost the user's damage by a set rate like, I dunno, 1.5x more damage. With this compromise, Hornet users can still be powerful, but now they have to put more effort into defeating foes with strong defensive buffs like Titan's protective dome Overdrive. In the above case, ignoring supply and drone effects, a Radar user would only do effectively 0.15x damage (since 1.5 times 0.1 equals 0.15) against a foe under a Titan's dome.

    Contents of the XT Container

I'm aware that the XT container (a.k.a. the black and gold box) gives you a random XT skin. My question, however, is whether or not it's possible to get an XT skin for a turret/hull you don't own. For instance, if I don't even own Mammoth and I open an XT container, is it possible to get the XT Mammoth skin anyways? Thanks.

    Complaint Book

Indeed. So this story of spawn protection seems to be more complicated. Not too long ago, while I was playing on the TO Flash Client, I spawned in front of an eager-to-spawn-kill Vulcan-Hornet with their Radar on. I was an Isida (w/ Support Nanobots!)-Titan at the time, but luckily, spawn protection managed to kick in and shield me briefly from the Vulcan-Hornet's assault. I can tell you, without those 1-2 seconds of immunity, I would never have beaten the Vulcan-Hornet with like 5% of my total health (as a Titan). That said, this encounter was quite the opposite of my previous Magnum-Hornet nightmare, where I was killed the moment I spawned in. To be fair, though, that encounter happened on HTML5 TO for me, so maybe I stumbled upon a bug/issue/glitch in HTML5 TO? Regardless, I'm not trusting HTML5's visual cue for spawn-protection anytime soon.

Ugh, that reminds me of a sour experience with an "elite" Magnum-Hornet. I don't have video proof of this, sadly, but that spawn-camping, Radar-using Magnum-Hornet managed to hurt me ALL THREE times I was spawning in. Strangely, I've never seen this spawn-killing phenomenon happen with other hulls. Oh sure, ***maybe*** the Magnum-Hornet had timed their shots perfectly to damage me the EXACT moment I lost Spawn protection, but that doesn't diminish how busted the Radar Overdrive can get.

    UPDATED - Release March 20th

Definitely agree. These days, the "best" answer to these "elite" Hornets is rival "elite" Hornets, which doesn't really happen thanks to the pro-pubstoming MM system. Back to Hornet's OD (or Radar), I'd make it so that instead of ignoring the effects of Double Armor, module protections, or Titan's Dome OD, Radar would instead weaken these effects for Radar's user. Consequently, Titan's OD would become stronger and players won't be as easy to OHKO anymore.
  18. While I do appreciate the latest update, I would like to highlight some areas needing improvement, which Manix321 succinctly mentioned:

    UPDATED - Release March 20th

With nothing better to do, I decided to give this new HTML5 Tanki a go. Performance seems better on my end. On lowest settings, the game hovers between 45-60 FPS for me, which is a step up from 30-40 FPS last time I played. Still, I think performance can do better, as my FPS tanks down to 15-30 FPS if there's too much action around me before stabilizing back to 45-60 FPS. While by no means close to the consistent performance I get on the non-HTML5 TO Client, the improved performance of HTML5 TO is definitely enough to keep me interested. That said, the looks of the UI, in my opinion, can be improved. The dark bluish gray color schemes are alright, but I think some camouflage patterns on the UI would make tankers feel more immersed in tank warfare. At the very least, making the looks of the UI customizeable for players would be a touch. One last, minor thing: I'd like it if the Killscreen showed all players without needing a scrollbar, at least on browsers. My personal solution to this would be to shrink the size of the Killscreen (down to maybe 67% of the current size) so that you can fit all players' entries on one page. I appreciate the readable-ness of the UI, but I am open for shrinking the Killscreen enough to show all entries. In short, this update to HTML5 Tanki is pretty good for now.

Supplies running out without being used!

I noticed on your profile that you've been using the Hyperion drone, which consumes additional supplies while in use. To quote Hyperion's entry on the TO Wiki: "Activating a Supply causes multiple supplies of the same type to be consumed". So it's possible that you used up all 48 supplies due to your use of Hyperion.
  21. Here's my list of desired features that would get me back to HTML5 Tanki. 1) A better optimized HTML5 version. I've got a 2014 laptop that runs the Flash Tanki client very smoothly. By contrast, playing HTML5 Tanki just doesn't feel as smooth for me as it was for Flash Tanki. Additionally, HTML5 Tanki hogs more of my laptop's CPU, making my laptop undesirably hotter and burdening my gameplay further. 2) A resized end-of-battle screen. I appreciate seeing a breakdown of my earned points (i.e. kills, assists, Juggernaut kills, etc.), but the final score screen needs to be resized such that ALL players' scores and stats are shown. A small, aesthetic feature, perhaps, but the Flash version simply does these final score screens better. 3) Better UI Colors. Personally, I'm not a fan of HTML5 Tanki's grays that dominate the color scheme of the UI. They simply make Tanki look less lively and more generic and boring.

    March Challenge I

Pretty sure that's still the 2nd half of the February Challenge. I can tell because the Tier 7 rewards are "Хохлома" (Holholma) and the Magma Firebird effect.
  23. @1M4U Thanks for clarifying. Your comment on inspecting the Yin Yang page was especially helpful in relieving my worries: Inspecting the page now shows that the winning margin is 2790 stars.
  24. Yes, but the Conflict announcement mentions this. What bothers me is that the announcement is rather vague with the end date of the event. Supposing that Tanki sticks with their convention of using Coordinated Universal Time, then the "Yin-Yang" Conflict has ended with the Feb. 29 02:00 UTC server restart (which occurred about 2 hours ago as of writing this). I'd definitely like Marcus to confirm that the event has definitely ended, though.
  25. Looks like the Countdown to this Conflict is glitched. https://imgur.com/a/YjkVwYu Anyways, the event just ended, right? Because the next server restart is March 1st, 02:00 UTC, if I recall correctly.
