And that is my exact point. With bigger teams, there are more players. When you have more players, more people using viking, and it's OD is more annoying. If you were to, for the rest of your life, play matches with only 1 viking, would you still say it's OP? No, of course not. Why? Because you would not die to it more than 4 times, and that'd happen if you got extremely unlucky. Just because something is overused doesn't make it OP. Lots of players at high ranks even have poorly upgraded equipment. Does that make poorly upgraded equipment OP? No, it doesn't. -

Viking's OD itself isn't the problem. It kills you 1 time, and at most 2 or 3 tanks. If you're not using driver, you typically get it between 2 and 4 times. So that translates to at most 12 kills, and even then that's on the higher side. Back during the Hornet meta, it wasn't really that noticeable. Now that you have loads of players flocking to one of the most overhyped and overused hulls, obviously it's a lot more noticeable. -

There are loads, surely you've met that 5000 GS Legend who goes around with virtually no protections and Viking Ricochet, spamming his OD at the first tank they see. Viking is IMMENSELY overhyped. Even if you shoot non stop, most of the time you don't kill more than 2 or 3 tanks. Sometimes, even just 1. Edit: I'm not saying everyone's like this, but a LARGE amount of Viking users have low GS. Of course, there are those who do know what they're doing. -

The problem is how overused Viking is. It's an overhyped hull. That's not overpowered. If all the Vikings were to be swapped for Hunters for example, then Hunter would be the OP hull. The real issue is the presence of the meta, and making certain overdrives less competent. If we had overdrives which were all within similar power ranges, then no hull would be overpowered. -

Actually, other ODs can perform quite well. Yes, Hunter suffers due to Hooper, but at the end of the day, it can easily turn the tables in a match because you can either return the flag with the stun, or EMP your enemy and kill them and then return the flag for example. Similarly, a Dictator's OD in Siege can be insanely powerful. I played a match with 3 Dictators or so for example, we always had a Titan dome and overdrives charged practically. It's all rather situational. Viking's OD without say any AP augment is utterly useless in the face of Titan's Dome. Though, I agree. More often than not, I get no more than 2, maybe 3 kills. Very rarely, more than 5. Even at that level, all I am doing is killing an enemy. Even though I use defender and protections more than 40%, I've still been outsmarted by players when using my OD. Against Viking's OD, you don't fight hard, you fight smart. There's no use in directly going up front and engaging because if you do, you get ripped to shreds. -
YES! THIS IS AN AWESOME IDEA! The skins in Tanki X are infinitely better than Tanki online.

I agree with mj, Viking's OD isn't OP. Back in the day of the hornet meta, nobody complained about how OP viking is. If anything, Viking was seen as pretty powerless in comparison to a lot of the other hulls which people argued could do better. Since the end of the Hornet meta, Viking has recieved no changes, and as far as I am aware, there haven't been major changes in the ODs of other hulls either. So how does Viking go from pretty average (if not slightly below) during Hornet's meta to OP now, when it's OD hasn't changed? As for TJR, Viking isn't responsible for it. The problem is that Juggernaut recieved a lot of immunities. Prior to that, you could use Hunter's OD with striker or Wasp's OD with shock freeze. Obviously, since these effects don't scratch the Juggernaut anymore, Viking is used a lot more. Why? Well you can outrun Wasp's bomb, Titan's Dome, Mammoth's field, Ares' ball using Juggernaut. Dictator, Hunter and Hooper do nothing. Crusader can destroy the juggernaut, but you need booster for that purpose. The cheapest way to do well in Juggernaut is Viking, so obviously that's what happens. Next, Viking's OD is actually not as hard to counter. It's not easy by any means, but it's not impossible either. Keep in mind that a large percentage of Viking users follow the thought process of "hmmm, whenever I press shift I can fire quickly and deal massive amounts of damage. It charges slowly though. You know what! Here, I'll use it on this random tank for absoultely no reason". Couple this with the fact that these people rarely, if ever, turn their turret, and you can easily take them out. All you have to do is observe such players, and you'll get a pretty good feel for when they're going to activate their OD. Before they do, lure them by not taking cover instantly, and then hide behind something. Most of the time, they won't be able to kill you because they don't understand what happens when you try to shoot a tank behind a house, for instance. If they're using a turret dealing splash damage, you can try to get close to them (which is hard, but can be done), and thus destroy them. The best way is, needless to say, high protections and defender (if you really live for exacting vengance upon these players), Alternatively, Wasp's bomb, Hunter's OD, Viking's OD itself, Titan's dome, Crusader's OD and Hooper's OD all show potential in disabling a viking. Will it work 100% of the time? No, but then again, it's an OD. It's supposed to be powerful Onto the argument of status effects, yes viking amplifies them, but this is not always true. EMP salvo, AP salvo, Hammer's AP augment, Shaft's AP augment, Striker's AP augment do not work with Viking's OD. Magnum's AP augment is highly situational and 99% of the time will just fly over your enemies. Railgun's AP, EMP and stun augments do, but this is inherently a problem with the augments. Their stun/emp duration and the fact that they apply each time is what really makes this hard, but for that to be fixed you need to nerf these augments (barring Railgun's AP augment, which isn't as broken). At the end of the day, Viking's OD kills you once. That's not really broken. It's not as though I can use Viking, enter a match and thanks to its OD score 5 easy goals in under 3 minutes. Nor does Viking break other game mechanisms, such as gold boxes, which Hooper does. -
Not sure if this will happen or not, but in any case, when Thunder does get its HD skin, for the love of god please do not make default rounds bouncy. In fact, shots should NEVER bounce because if they do this will literally ruin the ability to properly splash for Thunder. Please don't even add a rubberized round augment, nobody wants bouncy rounds for thunder.

Tanki having the vast amount of paints, augments, protection modules, drones, skins etc. means that you can want something and be bound by fate to never obtain it. Well, I'm here to help you get rid of that longing! So tell me, what do you truly desire in Tanki? The task: All you have to do is go here , submit your username and what in-game item you want (can be a skin, drone, augment. Anything is fair game if it is in the game) Rules You cannot ask for something that is not in the game. You must submit your entry via the given google form You can only enter from one account. If you try to enter from more than one account, you will be disqualified Prizes: Only the first 25 people to submit the form will get what they want. Note that the contest ends by 30th April. If you particularly enjoy using Freeze or have plans to upgrade it, definitely go for it. Freeze has one of the better AP augments. The only other turret you have at mk7 which has an AP augment is Striker, and I can assure you that augment is not worth it. Unless you're waiting for something like Viking Heat immunity or are in need of a good Viking augment in general, I'd say this battle pass wouldn't be a bad investment. As for future updates, I anticipate Thunder, Twins and Striker are all likely to recieve an EMP/stun/cryo/incendiary and maybe even AP augments, however I don't think they would be up for grabs via a battle pass any time soon even if they were released tomorrow.

Oh I meant 5 small shards as in, so the current icile splits into 5 smaller ones, which are propelled with lock on to an enemy. Certainly not instant hit, just the same velocity as now. Alright then, looking forward to seeing your idea! -

Frankly, I'd say it'd be awesome if it could be completely reworked so that instead of it being an icile, it auto targets and locks on to enemies (in less than a second) when you first press shift. Pressing again fires that many iciles at your enemies (capped at 5 I think is fair). Each icile applies an AP and Freeze effect but the effects don't stack. It's much too dull right now. Alternatively, a significant buff in the radius needed for AP and Freeze application, as well as a decent buff to the damage radius would do it much good. -

Agreed. If anything the OD as a whole is in need of a serious buff. Crusader is great to drive around, but the OD is an absolute joke as it stands. -
Well I'd say, if it can be made so that the augments mostly mimic their non EMP/stun counterparts (so say Railgun's EMP augment winds up being made such that you rarely EMP enemies with critical hits, and even then only a single enemy) I would say they'd actually be balanced. Like for example, Smoky EMP. I don't think anybody would claim that Smoky EMP is broken, or too powerful or too annoying. It's powerful, but not broken.

Yes, completely certain. As long as your target is getting hit by your Freeze, the AP effect is applied

Keep in mind that the AP effect is applied and stays active pretty much as long as you are hitting your target, so if you constantly hit your target for say 7 seconds, it'll be applied for that time.

I agree, that augment was entirely useless. Not sure why it's being given out again. Hooper got it's last augment back in December. Chronologically, every other hull has since gotten an augment, so it's been neglected in that sense. Dictator's had I think 3 augments given away (EMP, heat and cold), and Titan has had 2 or 3 (Cold and EMP for sure, maybe another?)

Titan cold immunity, I think it was released in January B, so it has gotten some attention off late. Ares has had 1 augment, EMP immunity given away, that too way back in September A. It was overdue I think. Hooper had one back in December A, so I thought it would get another. Additionally, every single hull has had at least 1 augment given away since January A (and viking, hunter, dictator have had 2 I think). The only ones which have been hitherto neglected are Ares and Hooper. I imagine that Titan AP may not be given away any time soon due to how valuable it is.
