The EMP effect should only happen on the main target IMO, not in the entire gigantic aoe of gauss explosion. It's how I first understood the augment from the wording... But the thing that loses splash is only the common tap shot. -
Oh I'd use heavyweight regardless, I never got over the ancient switch between the weights of hunter and viking, a long time ago. I just need to pull this thing... ??

I think you underrate the hunter alteration... Constantly locking on means you're shooting faster than using the spacebar (Due to aim+recovery time being faster than shot reload) and, in a pinch, after a lock-on shot you can almost immediately tap another shot, as you just have to wait for the recovery time instead of the full reload, it makes for a good surprise as the enemy won't expect another missile so soon. And I use it with dictator ? and titan, I'm midfielder/aggressive though.

Has anyone tried viking with heavyweight? I bet it stops being abused by any form of the slightest impact force... It's my biggest gripe with the hull.

I was actually thinking if I should save for LCR, since I still mostly use viking there, but I am tempted to try using hornet, even if lower MK, just for the complete armor pierce...

Ever since missions have been released it's been possible to just constantly spam supplies without really going into a loss of them. Even more so at a high rank with weekly containers. It's now a core mechanic of the game, it's pointless to try not using them at this point. -
Randomly decided to get rail mk7 on my marshal, and try to do some of those missions (Which I can't finish unless I waste the entire day tomorrow, oh well). Since I already had scout, it's been pretty easy to rack up kills, unless there were 6/8 mk7 falcons in the enemy team ? Even with all the meta switches rail still remains very powerful...

There's a catch, the turret stops turning once you die and respawn, even if you use mouse controls. Kind of lame.

Still railgun and shaft. Partially gauss, but that's on me if I let them lock on and not having DA.

My friend, the html5 client doesn't break 40 fps for me, and I have 8GB ram. Both flash and the browser version easily reach 60. Flash has also way smoother menu transitions and better camera handling.

I'd probably get rid of brest/highways/stadium. I generally play aggressively/midfield and these maps force me to either camp or die constantly. -
I wish. The old flash client is still miles better unfortunately, and the browser version of html5 performs better than the client, with no gray screen hangups/freezes.

That's because you're the one using it. You don't have your heavy/medium hulls getting oneshot from ANYWHERE across the ENTIRE MAP with no way to counteract. I constantly wear high protection railgun module, and nearly 1/3 of the time, I'm still getting oneshot, because of this stupid overdrive. Makes me wonder why I even bothered with the protection module. Any other hull, with railgun, would take multiple shots to defeat either of my most used tanks, and I can fight back. Hornets? I don't even see where they are sometimes. And this applies to any other similarly bursty weapon, including the "flavor of the patch" one, RFM shaft, 3 shotting anything before you can even realize you're getting attacked. -
I love using striker with either cyclone or hunter alterations, I prefer it to gauss.

Too bad the amount of times I died to hornet OD completely bypassing my protection+da is 100000000x higher than the amount of times I died to mammoth cause... You know, move? It's literally melee. I can't avoid infinite range oneshot guns all the time.

So, viking, and heavyweight construction. Will it finally make the old heavy viking, like I've always wanted? I'm tired of turning 90 degrees away when taking any single shot...

Ares is made to be used with mobile or mouse controls. Do not bother with keyboard... You'll take 100x as long to adapt to it.

The turret turn buttons are the same as the "Turn ares" ones, so they get overridden. You can turn with mouse controls, but after you die and respawn the turret's stuck and doesn't anymore. And with that insanely sluggish turn speed? No chance to use anything mid ranged. You technically can circle strafe with mouse controls...But it's too slow.

Railgun is popular because it's ridiculously powerful, round destabilization can literally oneshot medium hulls even with light protection (10-15%) and oftentimes a 35%+ protection doesn't really change anything as a medium hull will still get 2 shot. I still die more often to them than so many other turrets, and I permawear a rail module.

I usually incline myself so that in case the rocket misses it at least hits the ground near the target ?

Maybe it's time for me to come back then HAHAHAHAH! I tried the html5 client. It's atrocious. I find myself going back to the flash one... Wasn't the new one supposed to have better performance? And I come back to several p2w exclusive things... Not a good turn for the game. -
I find this very silly. How does a downloadable client get -20 fps compared to just using the browser?? What's the point in downloading it then? I had been waiting for this one to drop to hopefully enjoy smooth gameplay, and all I get is just worse performance.

Isida viking is a pretty good healer not gonna lie but that's only because you can't enjoy broadband radiators effects so a low hull makes it easy to keep the beam on targets (Except when you get turned 90 degrees by a single thunder shot). Heck, during Overdrive you can heal so much to keep a juggernaut alive through enemy juggernaut salvos and other 2 enemies. However sometimes pairing it with titan means you're a portable healing base, if the allies are smart enough to let you catch up.
