You should've superimposed Hazel's face onto his ?
-
Idk why but I keep getting Rail augments from Shard Containers...
-
Actually more than that since it's virtually impossible for any F2P player to complete the challenges now.
-
It was an honour @Crossbone BTW what in the world was that matchmaking - Sergeant Majors playing with Major Generals?!
-
LOL thanks, I wasn't even paying attention to the chat or players - too busy farming score for the special mission ?

Well yes, but remember I'm talking about stock turrets here. The meta right now really is splash damage and high DPS. Shaft has high damage per shot, that is true, but considering the crit damage update, splash turrets are at a real advantage. Don't get me wrong, Shaft is still immensely powerful - my point is that in the current realm of drones, ODs and high speed tanks, Shaft has in a sense lost its original uniqueness and its relevance. With all the Crisis/Trickster drones and faster hulls, aiming in scope mode is only made more difficult, and the arcade shots are limited. Large maps (even the likes of Berlin and Dusseldorf) no longer seem as huge as they did years ago, and as a result Shaft's usability has decreased. Augments can alter this to some degree, but imo the other long range turrets (at least the stock versions) are better and more effective choices, generally speaking.

I mean there are too many turrets that are preferable to Shaft at long ranges... just look at Gauss and Magnum (if it weren't for the no-damage bug), these two outclass Shaft in almost everything but damage. Sure, Shaft has infinite range, but so does Railgun and that has a critical hit rate that's through the roof. Simply put, gameplay is too dynamic for Shaft to reach its full potential imo, and there are other more useful choices to cater for this more fast-paced gameplay.

That's why I wrote "by the way."

You ever seen those textbooks the devs have that their programmers and game designers use, that can occasionally be seen in the Vlogs? Hazel sure learnt how to balance a video game from those, he’s perfected the science ?
-
Why would they give refunds? I’m sure it’s in the Tanki Online T&Cs somewhere. By the way, if the devs shut down the game tomorrow there would be NO refunds either. Just think that through.
-
How long? ?
-
To be fair, the rewards do come at a very high price.

Different builds would be cool, imagine Tanki as an MMORPG game LOL

Thanks for that. Still, the whole nut theme is hilarious...

If you open a container while in matchmaking and you are loaded into a battle when a container opens, what happens?
LambSauce replied to awesomepeter in Archive
Because it happened to me once that I started opening a set of 15 and my connection cut out, and I checked in my Garage when the game loaded back up. Then when I opened a single Shard Container a while later it showed me the same set of 15 and the rewards that it hadn’t displayed before. -

In my experience, the next time you open any sort of Container it will show you the previous rewards that weren’t displayed. -
Correct, his name is Semyon Strizhak and his in-game username is Opex-Rah. Now if you look at the word ‘opex’ as using Cyrillic letters (Russian alphabet), then it translates to ‘nut’. Yes, that’s right, ‘opex’ is the Russian for ‘nut’ ? Hazel is another nickname of his and I assume that’s it’s related to the whole ‘nut’ theme. So all in all, he must really like nuts or something. By the way, it’s funny because in the Russian developer videos where he answers questions, in the comments the questions are asked like this, “вопрос Ореху”, translating to “question for the Nut” ?

Cool ideas. This got me thinking - what if instead of just straightforward Overdrives, each hull had a set of upgradable abilities (similar to augments) that can be selected and configured based on the user’s likes and needs? Sort of like different builds... There was a similar mechanism in Tanki X, though I don’t remember the exact details.

It must be very fulfilling to not have a care in the world about Challenges now that no F2P player will realistically be able to complete them.
-
Not really because that isn’t the definition of a Legacy skin - they should look exactly as they used to graphics-wise. I think the devs should make a Legacy 1.0 series (pre-2012 rebalance) and a Legacy 2.0 series (2012-2020/pre-HD).

It’s sad in a way because, back in the day, Shaft was widely regarded as a turret that required great skill (and thus not many players used it) but it was incredibly powerful when mastered. Today, Shaft is almost universally disliked (to go up against, I mean) and labeled a weapon of campers. I think part of the problem is that there are a lot of long-ranged turrets that fill the sniper role (*cough*Gauss*cough*) and the game has become extremely fast-paced. Shaft no longer holds the sole sniper status and, although it is indeed very strong, its reputation has suffered terribly in the last few years.

New name for Hazel: “The Master of Disaster.”
-
Tanki Online on Steam still uses the Flash version.

If you want to know what's meta, have a look at this Russian youtuber (https://www.youtube.com/c/MrBaHbKa123/). He's also a Tanki Esports player, IIRC he plays for Team Pointers, and regularly streams TO for a few hours on most days.

The final gift will perhaps be a Tesla Mk1, as you suggested before. Speaking of Tesla, the Test Server has been closed to the public for a few days now and I'm guessing the devs are testing it on there as we speak.
