  1. It was, now its not right? It says "Reload time in sniping mode increased from 3.6-2.7 to 4-3 s."

So the Gauss; the AP affect only last 3 seconds now and the reloading after sniping mode increased to 4-3 seconds, so you can't really use the AP to your advantage now since your follow up shot is too late. The reload time after sniping mode is definitely the most annoying thing now. Still the best turret ever though ?

    The booster drone is not worth equiping until lvl 11

    So I maxed out Brutus drone (few weeks back) and got Booster drone in one of the sale days. The Booster drone at the beginning stages really doesn't increase the damage at the beginning as much as the maxed out Brutus drone right? Like Brutus increases damage right now for me by 100% (technically increases damage supply effect by 100%), but the Booster at the beginning only increases supply by 50% and 15% bonus damage.. so only 50 + 15 or 65% damage, not nearly as much as the Brutus drone. Its only at level 11, Booster drone increases damage supply effect by 77.5% and gives bonus damage of 23.3, so total of 100.8 increase. So only then would it make sense to put on Booster right (if all you care about is damage)? Like this is how the Booster drone works right? I just want to make sure I am understanding it correctly.

    These Special Event battle modes make me think of how great TO could be...

    So I've been playing this game since 2010 (I feel like I say this every post but that's because this account is new but I just want to let ya'll know I am not) and for my biggest problem has always been balancing equipment. In several polls conducted on the forum, most players believe that matchmaking is the biggest problem but I disagree. I've never played a game where the developers change the rating of equipment as constantly as here in TO; I know in other online games is something is too OP or nerfed, developers will change it but that seems to happen like on a rare occasion, in TO in happens every week. I've been playing since when we had Tier 1 and Tier 2; Smoky, Twins, Firebird, Rail as Tier 1 and their Tier 2 counterparts Thunder, Ricochet, Freeze, Shaft. And literally every equipment at one point or another has been vastly OP or nerfed. - At one point firebird was utterly useless, then it was so powerful you could destroy a heavy hull in one full blast -At one point twins rounds were so slow and dealt so little damage they were like floating cotton balls, then they became so powerful doing such high damage with so much speed the entire map was filled with blazing energy balls -At one point smoky was useless, then came critical hit then everyone had it Again, the list is endless and I don't want to bore you guys, but those of you who played this long enough know what I am talking about. Like recently I feel like Vulcan has become very OP, players with Vulcan and a hull with Fire Immunity NEVER stop shooting and the rounds bounce off walls so it's only a matter of time before you get it. Not only that a gun like that should have lower damage but it doesn't! Anyway my main point, in these special events where everyone has an equal set of equipment, the battles are so much more fun and competitive. Right now we have the special event where everyone has the Juggernaut combo and a few weeks ago we had an event where everyone had MK7 with no drones, these battles were FUN. And again, they were competitive, the score difference was rarely (if ever) greater than 3 points. Most scores ranged from 2-3, 2-4, and on rare occasions 2-5 (obviously the combinations are vast), but I've played in maybe 50 battles this weekend of the special event mode, there was NEVER a score of 7-0 or 7-1 (quick score before a buyer enters) or 6-0 (if the players getting beat are good defenders). I mean if one team has a Paladin buyer with GS of 9999, you've lost. If there are 2, at least you lose quickly. This is NOT fun. So these special event modes also make me sad because I think to myself, wow.. imagine if every battle was this enjoyable and competitive. It makes me think of how great Tanki Online could be..

    What to buy? Which is better?

    Any good short range turrets? We have the sale in the garage today and I am thinking about upgrading a 2nd turret. My main is Gauss (MK7) so I am thinking my other one should be short range. So the options are Freeze, Firebird, Isida, Tesla, and... Hammer? My hulls are MK7 Wasp (Main) and Hornet (MK5), I prefer speed over amour, I also have Dictator MK7 which I rarely use and I am beginning to use Viking MK3 more often now because I love the OD (I'll also upgrade Viking today during the Easter sale, playing against other Legends with MK3 Viking has gotten difficult). Hammer is the odd one out since it's not really a "melee" style turret, but Viking/Hammer seems to be very good and when using it with Blunderbuss or Duplet argument along with Booster drone, it's pretty much an instant kill. Tesla is obviously really cool because of how you can use it. Isida heals but ever since they took away Isida's ability to heal itself while damaging enemies (sucking their life out) and now you can only do that with Vampire augment, I don't like using it.
  6. Pretty simple question I reckon. Tanki has established nuclear energy as a rare commodity, so when do you guys usually use it? I have like 10 of them but I use Wasp as my main hull so I kind of use the overdrive it as a "suicide bombing" (lol) way, so I really am not able to load up the nuclear energy for another bomb since I use it in the last second and thus be destroyed. I used it yesterday on Siege with Viking to destroy the entire enemy team clumped together on the control point, it was pretty fun. So when do you guys use it?
  7. 1) They can never seem to balance the equipment. Like every single week they are tweaking the equipment. I've never seen a game constantly alter the equipment as much as Tanki does. Every few months a new turret becomes OP, then they change it to it being weak and its a constant cycle. This obviously helps the buyers since they can just upgrade and use whatever is best currently. Right now it is Paladin (NERF PALADIN!) and Striker/Tesla. 2) The system of containers and opening boxes to get things by chance is something I despise. If I use a certain combo, let me just get things for what I want. Not random things I don't use. I've gotten like 10 turret augments and none are for the turret I use. Why? Let me buy my own augments. Things that effect gameplay shouldn't be based on luck. Again this only helps buyers since buyers will just keep buying containers until they get what they want. 3) Okay so I don't really see a problem with matchmaking. I see it is what most other players voted as the biggest problem and I hear people taking about it as well but I don't really get the frustration. I mean out of 10 battles, at least 5 are good battles that are competitive with the final score being very close, 3 may be one of the teams having the upper hand but not really dominating, and 2 battles may be like the "bad" battles where one team is really better than the other, the 7-0 type scores. So that's not really that bad, I mean even in other games sometimes you get into battles that are a little unfair. I used to play Battlefield 3 and so many times I would be in battles where 1 side was completely high rankers and the other side new players, match making wont ever be perfect, but I don't really have a problem with Tanki's matchmaking, so I guess I am in the minority here. Like if they actually balanced the game where a buyer with Paladin/Striker can't just enter a game and completely wipe out the other team single-handedly, we wouldn't have these 7-0 scores.
  8. Lol, literally all they need to do is to nerf Paladin. Like everyone (except Paladin users) is asking to nerf Paladin and developers are just like, nahhhhh.

    That's what I thought too, but it seems as though it gets me with every shot. So maybe not give critical hit with every shot ?

    Thunder isn't necessarily "weak" its just obsolete, which is probably worse; because it's essentially gotten replaced by Gauss. Same as Thunder, except its sniping mode does tremendous damage regardless of distances (super helpful to get long range campers) and great splash damage (high damage and wide area; great for enemies clumped around base or control points). So why would you chose Thundy?

    Thank you for your input. I definitely am not saying Gauss is a bad turret, it's still the best in my opinion and my favorite to use. I am just saying I feel like it's unfair that Smoky hits me and with every shot takes away all my supplies or Striker hits me and stuns me every time and I have to stop every 5 seconds, whereas my Gauss only deals the effects on sniping mode. I mean I know fairness isn't really a developers goal, but I am just wondering why they chose not to give Gauss the same treatment. And yes, I just got the Booster drone recently during the Iron day sales (us non-buyers got to be frugal), but I am still using my Brutus drone because it's maxed out whereas Booster isn't. My Brutus gives me 100% increase in damage supply effect, whereas the Booster currently gives me 57.5% increase in damage supply effect and 17.2% bonus damage.. so 57.5 + 17.2, = 74.7, that's how it works right? So it makes more sense to just use Brutus currently.

    So I am a die hard Gauss user ever since I restarted playing this game a few months ago ( I hadn't played for a few years). And this month's challenge had Armor-piercing augment for Gauss so I used up all the tankoins and got myself battlepass since it was in the Gold tier. I just unlocked it and wow...... it is really bad. Like, it only does the armor piercing from the sniping mode. Like what the heck? When smoky, twins, or ricochet uses it against me it deals the armor-piercing every single time! Or the EMP from smoky and twins, EVERY single shot takes away all my supplies, but from Gauss, only in sniping mode! Why?? And there's the overpowered Striker's many many augments, and the one I've seen lately is the one that stuns you with EVERY single shot! Like Gauss doesn't even have that many augments to begin with, in the garage the only augment for Gauss has is the adrenalin which all turrets get. And the only other 2 it gets from containers/challenges, armor-piercing and EMP, is only dealt on sniping mode?

    What do most people use Tankoins for?

    As it is a more valuable currency, I was wondering what other people use it for. I am thinking about getting the Battlepass for this month's challenge because one of the Gold tier rewards is "Armor-Piercing Salvo" for Gauss and Gauss is my main turret. I have like 800 Tankoins and there aren't really anything else that I can imagine spending it on... besides the 3rd slot for protection modules for 500 Tankoins, but I can live without them, I really don't care about having protection that much. But having armor piercing for my Gauss would be amazing. Should I buy this months Battlepass?

    What to buy? Which is better?

    Anyway I am here to seek some advice. I am about to rank up to Marshal where many of the MK-7 equipment will be unlocked. My Wasp and Dictator are both MK-6, I love speed so I mostly use Wasp but when I want to change things up for a bit I'll use Dictator. I hate heavy hulls, I am here to have fun lol. However based on what I've heard, Wasp isn't that great at the higher ranks. Now... I get put in battles with Legend ranks quite a bit, but I'll still get the highest score nonetheless, so IDK maybe people just are bad with Wasp. However I have realized that the Wasp bomb.. against high ranking players requires a little more technique, people immediately move away from it and at high ranks most hulls are faster so unless it's a tight enclosed space, its quite difficult.. again requires more technique. However Hornet seems to be more popular. IDK, is Hornet that much better? Second I also got the Camper drone in a container, I used it and I like it! The supplies last for sooooo long, I am really never out of all 3 supplies. And it's at just the base level. I already upgraded the Brutus all the way to MK-20 (just today actually) and I like it since it's passive. But I really like Camper drone too, should I start upgrading it until I get Hyperion?

    If I like and use a certain combo, why do I need augments and skins for others? Like lets say I use Viking and Smoky, I want to get augments for that combo or get nice skins for that combo, instead Tanki has me open containers which have like next to no chance of me getting what I want for what I use. Like why are those things based on just luck? It keeps giving me stuff I don't need and won't let me get what I want. Like I look at older YouTube videos of Tanki and players actually got to choose to buy augments that they wanted, it should've been that way.

    What does your nickname REALLY mean?

    So I've been playing this game for like 12 years now, started in 2010. And throughout it all I've had.. 3 main accounts ranked around the Luitenient, Captain, Major ranks.. then like 2-3 other accounts around the Warrant Officer ranks, and another 4-5 accounts lower than Warrant Officer. Anyway I stopped playing for like a year and returned a few weeks ago. I decided to make a new account, but I was thinking "I have to stick with this one, no more switching to a new account" so I thought, this will finally be the account that I take up to the Generalissimo rank, which when I started playing Tanki in 2010, Generalissimo was the highest rank (Legend didn't exist then). I was super surprised the nickname hadn't been taken yet. Maybe Tanki deletes accounts after they've been inactive after a while because some Legend player was saying I "stole" his old account. :) -Generalissimo

    Clans, Clubs, Teams, Can we discuss why there are so many different types of groups in Tanki Online?

    Hey fellow Tankers, so I am looking to join a group. And I am kind of overwhelmed with the so many different types of groups there are in Tanki Online. When I go to the Clan page in the forum, there are like only 5 active clans? But then there are also Clubs? However it seems like neither plays in eSports, which for that you have to go to the eSport page to join the Teams. So I don't really know where to begin. I've been playing Tanki since like 2010, I believe Clans were the first type of groups. Back then all battles were created by players and you joined by choosing teams. Clans were how competitive players battled with their friends. Then came eSports but back then I think Clans were those who played in eSports, but now we have Teams for eSports? Then there are also Clubs for players who want to be in groups with their friends, but don't want to compete in tournaments? Also why are there like First, Second, Third Leagues, they're all filled with Legend rank players anyway. I feel like it'd make more sense if each league was for certain ranks. Also I thought in the game players who were in groups (IDK if its Clan, Club, or Team) had the respective group name attached to their name, like for example if my Clan name was "The Cool Kids" shortened into "TCK" my nickname in game would be [TCK]Generalissimo, but I can't find some groups anywhere. Like there are a lot of players I've seen that have the [Polo] in front of their nickname, but I can't find the group in the Clan page, Club page, or eSport Team websites. So I am really confused why we have so many types of groups?
  18. Just came to comment on the mine situation... so there are 2 drones that affect your mines. The "Miner" defense drone that allows your mines to be active even after you get destroyed. And the "Saboteur" defense drone that when you place a mine, it adds other mines in the area, like a cluster of mines. Firstly, you can have only one drone right? So how are there people that fill the field with mines, even when you destroy them, they are still active? There's no way they putting down that many 1 by 1.
