    Let's discuss Zeus paint

Well, not well designed and useless IMO paint, no offense intended. Pros: None I can think of. Cons: 1. 40 % Ricochet protection is no strategic gain over 30% Ricochet protection. The difference is 2 more hits to survive from a Ricochet M3 - 17 vs 15 hits for Viking M3 with the corresponding 40% and 30% paint protection for example. 2. Who needs 35% Isida protection anyway, uuh, Hunter M3? 3. Firebird protection is entirely irrelevant to so expensive paint. 4. Hide value - none (as far as there are no maps with blue and violet backgrounds) Zeus is not worthy 15000 crystals, sorry.

    Let's discuss Emerald paint

Pros: 1. The ultimate offense/defense paint at mid-range combat. 2. The 30% Smoky protection significantly nerfs as a threat a Smoky on DP. 3. Twins shifted more close to annoyance than as a threat with this 30% Twins protection. 4. The 40% Thunder protection boost Dictator and Hornet to hits-to-survive equal to the armor of a Mammoth M3 without a Thunder protection! Overall Thunder is rendered next to joke when shooting at an armor with this paint. 5. High hide value of the paint, getting 1-2 secs vital latency of spot of a tank with this paint. Cons: None I can think of. Yeah, my choice. ( I start so save for this paint, no more breakfast for the next 6 months  )

    Let's discuss Inferno paint

Pro: 1. The ultimate choice for a fast flag capturer. Brings the weak Hornet armor back into business as the primary choice for quick steal of enemy flags. 2. Turns Viking M3 invulnerable to Freeze M3, and Dictator M3 invulnerable to Freeze M2. Cons: Hiding value - zero, red attracts attention.

Personally, I hope 2.0 is not released June 6th.

And maps are much much brighter. Strange, but it just occurred to me that one cannot do brightness/gamma correction to any version of Tanki, but shades and darkness prevail at Tanki 2.0. Things that we get for granted at all other FPS games are not available at this server-side only game. Playing in the dark is not among my likings. Fumbling with the hardware settings of my monitor and damaging it by over-boosting brightness and gamma - either. I hope there are at least a couple of bright maps to play.

Personally, I hope 2.0 is not released June 6th.

Personally I hope Tanki 1.x to be available till the end of the year, I don't want to be forced to migrate to unplayable Tanki 2.0 after 20 days or so. From what I've seen the latter is not close to Beta stage. I understand the enthusiasm, but IMO Tnaki 2.0 needs at least several months additional development , serous Beta closed functional and stress tests and continuous Open beta tests. So I estimate at least 3 more months, most probably the game to be ready for release at the autumn.

    Railgun M3 - Nerfed?

Hmm, interesting. Are you absolutely sure that: 1. You were hit by M3 railgun (yellow beam)? 2. You were left with close to half of your healh ~ 30 HP? There were recent complaints at the Russian forum, for a case at which Hornet M3 without railgun protection paint of any kind (100 HP) had survived 2 shots from a M3 railgun (2x55 damage minimum). It sounds like a weird bug to me - M3 railgun with damage calculation of M0. I hope it is a bug.

    English and Russian games?

Definitely NO. Better use the excellent opportunity to learn some words in Russian while playing at least. Понял? Κατάλαβες? Đã nhận nó? 明白了吗? سمجھ
  8. Are you serious? No ratings for functionally? Small corrections? This game is stated to be at "Open Beta" status, just 20 days before public release. Therefore functionality should be 100 % complete, new feature requests implementation frozen, final bug fixing available only. But from what I've seen, I barely assign more than Alpha 3 status for the game. Not Beta to me at all.
  9. First impressions. ( Based on comparison to Tanki 1.0 similar stuff ONLY ) 1. Speed of the game - extremely slow, unplayable. I think the ridiculous decision to enable global chat by default adds tremendously to unplayability of the game. Developers - if you care to read this - disable it by default and turn it on player explicit demand! I have monitored the traffic on my computer and guess what - for 30 min I accumulated 2.3 GBytes incoming traffic. This is crazy! When I switched off the global chat - things normalized a bit to do purchases at the garage. But still going to battles is next to unplayable. 2. Stuff transfer. Probably a bug, or probably just test values - I don't know. But definitely the transferred count of drugs was invalid - just random counts for drugs. So I doubt if the transferred amount of crystals/rubies is correct either. 3. Crystals & Rubies. Crystal value IMO was denominated 100 times. Ruby, if the my evaluations based on the amount of transferred rubies are correct, has an exchange rate 0.03 or in other words 1$ == 30 rubies. Anxious to get official confirmation for my evaluations though. 4. Prices. Again, don't know if these are final costs, or just test cost values. The amount of transferred crystals and rubies allows me to buy all the things I have now at Tanki 1.0, and even save some money! 4.1 Armor - weird prices, Smoky accumulative upgrade to M3 is 85% of the cost of Viking M3 accumulative upgrade ?! Dictator is twice expensive than Viking ?? Overall armor in practice is twice as cheaper than guns. 4.2. Guns - If my assumptions at p.3 are correct, then T2 M3 guns are cheaper now by 30 %. 4.3. Paints - the prices are the same as at Tanki 1, therefore are 100 times cheaper ?? However IMO the new duo-currency will introduce severe complication at the game, and will have huge impact at players without sufficient ruby transfers as they soon will get short of rubies.

mulitiple m3 isidas rushing your base

Not true if they move in circles

    Rubys...

Nothing new under the Sun - just another game joins the Pay-2-Win bandwagon. The problem is not the new currency of rubies available only for real money and that M3 modification will be paid. That is OK - the game needs real money to evolve. The problem is the unprecedented GREED of the game developers. Concurrently I play a game where I paid 20$ for the equivalent of 4(four) M3 top weapons, costing 5$ each. In comparison, I should have spent ~ 400$ for a M3 armor + three M3 guns to get these weapons at Tanki. So I agreed to spend there 20$, but would never ever spend 400$ for your game. And I prefer to play 20 different games, spending 20$ for each of it, instead paying 400$ for just one game. In addition, if there is no reasonable exchange rate of crystals to rubies, this will be the beginning of the end of this game. Believe it or not, but your GREED will ruin this nice game. :?

Damage of guns in secs and shots

Today I wondered if I need a new paint protection. So I've spent 2-3 hours and made analysis for the efficiency of existing paints in regard of damage percentage protection for some weapons I play with or against. Uploaded the analysis.

Cheater Hacker ??? Admin must see this ??

Extreme hack. The problem is not the hacker. The problem is that this way of point gathering is possible. If it were not for the extreme hacker greediness for prompt victory/points, this problem may go unnoticed for long time. :?

    Two controls variants

Intriguing. So you have ... 9 fingers on your left hand ?
  15. Mokpama_rapra

    Two controls variants

I find that the alternative WASD Space ,./ [] are better than the original bindings However still miss mouse bindings ...

    Freeze, overpowered?

@MonkeyMagic Both Freeze and Firebird are unbalanced weapons. The problem with Freeze is not that Freeze is OP - how otherwise you can destroy Mammoth M3 at single burst, to justify use of this weapon? The problem with Freeze is that at M2/M3 levels Freeze has quick reload and long fire consumption. To balance this weapon IMO, its damage should be increased with 40% (up to 50 dps at M3), but increase recharge times with 50% (up to 15 secs at M3) too, and lower consumption with 40% to 5 secs. Yeah - at M3 to have 250 damage for 5 secs, but then reload for 15 secs. Moreover this would be close to the spirit of uber heavy weapons - devastating damage and long recharge times. The Firebird suffers from the same problem, but in reverse. There damage and consumption rate are fine, but recharge is too long to make this weapon useful at higher levels. There IMO recharge rate should be dropped with 50%. Yeah - at M3 to have 120 damage for 5 secs, with reload of 5 secs

Smoky xT is back or cheater?

Ha-ha, how naive are all of you. Smoky M3 + DP at close range has devastating power and its damage is de-facto equal to Smoky XT. :D Which reminds me I should buy at Tanki 2.0 Mammoth M3 + Smoky M3 + 10 000 DP  Naah, Mammoth M3 is expensive. Better Titan M3 + Smoky M3 + 16 000 DP

Nerf of existing guns and armor at tanki 2.0 ??

Actually this is my wish, I have played with all guns and upgraded them to M3, excluding Freeze and Roco at level M2. But most I liked to play with Smoky, If there was a way to apply for a Smoky with firepower relevant to the experimental l M4 XT, or at least close 80% of it, I just go boldly for the upgrade at the cost of 50 000 crystals and forget all other guns. I do not want Freeze, Rico, Thunder, even Rail, with which I play now. I really miss the unjustly underpowered Smoky.

Nerf of existing guns and armor at tanki 2.0 ??

Is it true? I have read at the Russian forum that: "В 2.0 будет перебалансировка пушек и корпусов." It is a very important question, as if nerfing is true, all current experience with guns and armor becomes irrelevant. And next comes the question, "What I should buy at Tanki 2.0?" :?:
  20. Mokpama_rapra

    Rail vs Thunder

Only Thunder M3 is a serious threat to Rail M3. Thunder M0-M1-M2 levels ... are just needed for upgrades to M3.

Poll: The worst players in tanki use?

Tanki created different armors but Twins rendered them equal  About poll : Thunder All other guns have to aim or approach the enemy - that needs skills Thunder is just shoot-at-the crowd or the walls nearby from afar for splash damage - the perfect weapon for the blind
  22. Mokpama_rapra

    Most annoying tank turrent

Twins. The classic noob puts something heavy on the space of the keyboard and only moves, shooting at everything - enemies, teammates, walls, sky ... But I have a remedy for their madness - it is named ricochet
  23. Mokpama_rapra

Do you prefer the Thunder of the Railgun?

The Railgun to me is much better than Thunder. A am type of an offensive combat player and Thunder is not my style of play. Have upgraded Thunder to M3, but not playing with it at all, more a month now. IMO and experience Thunder is good at mid-range combat only and is an abysmal failure at close and long range combat. Eagerly expect transition to Tanki 2.0 to get rid of of this gun converted in crystals.
  24. Mokpama_rapra

    mines

Definitely NO at current state of the game. But YES at possible future extensions of the game, when players can buy mine disarm packs costing 10 crystals each . P.S. Yeah, and the implementation would be simple - if the player has a disarm mine pack at repository, the mine he/she has moved over is nullified, the count of disarm mine packs at player's repository decreased by one If no disarm mine packs available at player's repository then ... BOOM! Common devs, move over - a new source for crystals expenditure (money income)

    Auto-Balance in 2.0

Balance at this game will never going to happen. Autobalance would be a disaster. Accept it, live with it, play with it. If you still wonder why, here is the simple explanation: The crystal reward distribution at this game is fundamentally wrong at its core basis. How many times everyone has witnessed irrefutable facts as: - the players tendency to join the winning team for the sake of several crystals more? - the collaboration of the top players of the losing team with the winning team, by not shooting at each other for the sake of crystals? - the collaboration of both teams for capturing the flags for each team on mutual peaceful exchange basis for the raise of the fund? - the late gang join of high rank players to catch the accumulated by this time crystal fund and "rape" the inferior players? - strolling scavengers of crystals, mostly sergeants, uncommitted to game goals and play? What can be done for this game to has balance? Nothing. Because this is the Tanki way. But if you are still curious, again the answer is simple. Option one: - crystal accumulative battle fund should be removed at all; - players gain crystals on fixed rate by their skills - kills, CTFs and drop boxes with crystals; All multi-player FPS games known around the globe use similar principle. Option two: - distribution of the accumulated crystal fund is done at 55:45 ratio for win:lose. A 10% margin, that will bring balance and justice, but wont remove crystal corruption at Tanki. Expect it only in your dreams, though. Automatically provided autobalnce or moderators' reshuffle at mid-game could only enrage players: - who would agree to be moved to the losing, crystal-less team? - would you like to play against your friends with whom you joined together the game on one and the same side? The bottom line: Tanki and balance - a good joke. I cannot stop LOL. :D
