That's a great question! I guess it's in our nature to explore. We want to understand everything. The most brilliant minds come up with the most brilliant breaktroughs. I personally love science. I hate math alone but I find it really interesting when it's applied in biology for example. The medical evolution won't stop and the new technologies lead to some great stuff. The ethical aspect of science is something else. And I have no idea how to put that but there's a limit in how far science can go. I don't think we'll do that as humans though because we always seek for some sort of explanation for everything. I am sure the societal acceptability of scientific research is an important and rather difficult topic in your study. You know more of that than me, I'm just saying what comes up to my mind currently. Recently I've seen read something about scientist reversing age in mice with a protein called P53. An absolute radical breakthrough. The concept of it is rather simple actually and so is the medicine so there are already test samples being sold for a huge price on the black market.

Thoughts on the current Tanki vs older versions

Atleast you had the fancy rank-up animation. :P Before that, all what was noticable was the tiny little rank above that changed. In a way that makes sense because they're huge. Viking used to be slower and stronger which made me think the shoes were filled with air... like Nike Air. -
The forum's stupid quote system is busted up so I can't respond to different parts like you did there. But I absolutely agree on what you said about the random maps one will be blindy joining. I use specific combos for specific maps. I hope the matchmaking system will come with a filter for format and map aswell, and set the auto-process from there. I guess if it proves to be unpopular the developers will see that it needs heavy adjusting or just plainly bringing back the battle list as main interface. The core problem remains to be the Pro battle pass, the missions itself and the multing that comes with it. I understand that it is hard to fix with the current battle list + pro battles. If you'd remove the pro battles, there'll be room for abusing the mission system in private battles. On the other hand Pro battles + missions has proven to be a bad combination and is further deviding the groups of players, making it hard to find a decent battle. The continuous cycle of completing missions is sucking away the PRO battles. I've never seen so few pro battles apart from the XP format. XP's have never interested me. (unfortunately I guess) So I disagree with what I've said initially, I guess this is harder to fix than I thought. or... ehhh.... well remove the missions and bring back the daily bonus (?)

I remember they said something about a battle list for friends though; as groups. But I find the current setup great already apart from being unable to create battles without a pro battle pass. To me it looks like they screwed with something to make it look like it has to be fixed by a matchmaking system. The battle list was great with the ability to create battles no matter what and with custom titles. The current friend system fits nicely aswell. The reason that good balanced battles are hard to find is because they have increased the rank brackrts and created a seperate mission cycle in non-pro battles and hard core tankers in pro battles; deviding the types of players. And now they want them to be brought back together? Lol I'd done some simple changes in the current lay-out rather than making a whole new interface. I'm sure this'll be cheaper for the business aswell. I don't think the new matchmaking system will be all bad, not at all. But players will need to get used to it and there'll be the additional complaining etc. I can compare this to Twins and it's alterations. They added splash damage but created alterations to remove the splash damage. Like... wut.

I have these bugs aswell sometimes. I have the close to entire client for it to respond again though.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, I have these since forever, when they introduced space mode it got more noticable. But I discovered a working GIF site so I can finally adress a problem that; what seems to a pretty common bug after all lol.. I gues surface thresholds between props need to be adjusted. I've no idea if they can smoothen this stuff out just with a single code though. I hope they don't need to re-design the entire prop layout of this game to make it dissapear. Maybe there are things possible with the hull aswell.

What is with these stupid invisible obstacles? I occasionally get blocked full stop when I touch the ground on a certain angle, especially at Massacre. There are even cases where I get flipped over because something stopped me in my tracks.

I love this sarcastic stuff towards feelgood hipsters. +800

The purple flame, ahhh that was great. I believe M2 firebird was blue-ish. That's a great picture you got there. Not many of us have screens from 6 years ago. -
I'd be banned if I explained everything but the current society doesn't let natural selection happen as it should. So sooner or later we'll get striked with a massive disease that'll 'purge' the human race. The pharmaceutical industry is one big maffia sustaining this cycle until the inevitable happens. Ofcourse no one wants to lose their loved ones. Our emotions are so much involved in this. but all aside; when we look at us as species... at the natural selection aspect I think we're doing some seriously wrong things. If you'd let natural selection go just as it's designed to,- I think there will (already in this current state) be massive outbreaks of respiratory infections on a global scale because natural selection has been kept low due to the radical changes in medical equipment. I have heart complications myself. My heart valve is leaking due to lack of elasticity. I also have what's called an S4 gallop. I am monitored by the doctors but I probably shouldn't be here if you'd see it from natural selection perspective.

It's a damn shoe that completely blocks your aim. It's annoying when there are Dictators on my team because I've Viking. Shoes get in the way all the time. -
Superprestatie van de dames! Alleen hier in het dorp wordt alleen over trekkers en koeien gepraat. Ik volg het verder wel wat op de radio op het werk. Bij jou wel een dikke poarrty?

I am a heavy camper and assistant.

I assume he focuses on the turret and hull combination and sees the paint as a waste. Protection modules are tricky like you said... to this day, I never found a kit that had all the right stuff I wanted in it. I guess getting a hull, turret and module on sales is still the most profitable but that requires patience. The guy doesn't need to worry about a paint though so that's a bonus. But man... you'll be boring sight.

Not anymore unfortunately. When I tried Isida, I was hooked lol.

How much data does Tanki take off in 15 minute battle
splitterpoint replied to CabbageRoll in Archive
So why is the Puffin browser on your phone so much more? I haven't played trough it actually, I came to see the lobby chat once and I was done for about 600 MB trough wifi. -
So are you sticking to that original green paint for the rest of your Tanki career?
-
The controls are as easy to forget as one will learn. After using Isida for 2 weeks and switching back to Magnum, I found out that my feel of Magnum is almost entirely gone. And my little piece of paper with all the charge rate and angle data is gone aswell lol.

I'd say rent it and play as you normally would, think of it as you wouldn't know the alteration was there. I did it for both and found out that the knockback alteration suited me the most because I use Smoky on fast hulls and can keep up with enemies.
-
Maf my man, well done, this is some seriously interesting stuff. I'm not someone who watches these kind of streams so it's nice to see a readable version.
-
Juist! Dit nieuwe medkit principe wordt op veel meer games toegepast, veel beter. Het was absurd dat je ONVERWOESTBAAR was voor 3 seconden.
-
The critical hit has a big part in the overall damage output of Smoky in the lower modifications. However, Smoky will continue to become more consistent with its damage as you upgrade it. I mean that the critical hit doesn't get that much better while normal shots do. The absence of a critical hit is less important there, which makes the knockback alteration a nice addition when you're fighting in short to medium ranges.

Ahh the Pixies, you either love em or hate them. Their bassist is great, there's something about her voice, rough just like the music.

Do you think you were instrumental in changing the tide of a battle?
splitterpoint replied to Imok-Urok in Archive
Not that much. I always join the winning side and leave most of the times as soon as the druggers start to overtake. Some might call me a coward. I however find the grinding unnecesary and stupid when someone is free to leave whenever they want. Maybe I prevent that one drugging enemy from capturing a flag sometimes but I don't actively try to make my team win on my own. I seak support in other valuable team mates usually as Isida and start to work together. Healing mostly.. I don't like to do the dirty work. But when the enemy team is starting to win I either leave or start using Isida to farm XP at the base. Since the team mates are taking heavy damage, I found out that it's quite simple to get first on a losing team with this strategy.
