Thunder and Hornet, or Mammoth.
-
More hp always is a help in DMs and TDMs, especially when you face your own turret. Go for Viking.
-
D/L doesn't mean everything. If I wanted a high D/L, I'd drug with Rail or Shaft. I don't really understand the lengths some people go to for high D/Ls though. Sure Isida gets bad D/Ls, but you aid your team by healing and they do the destroying and good D/Ls. A good Isida is not only a healer, but a critical support turret that is a benefit to the entire team.
-
Isida isn't boring to use, if you know how to use it. Most people don't sadly, but I will strive to improve.

Shaft protection is useful if you play in big maps like Serpuhov and Stadium or even Medium maps like Silence and use a Light Hull, because you'll be instantly killed if you don't have protection. That's about it for Shaft paint in my opinion.

Those few seconds is enough for a Rico's demise.

Huh, wonder what tactics you use as a Thunder. Why not utilize your surroundings and use peek-a-boo tactics instead of needlessly staying in the open as an easy kill? Utilize your longer range, and be smart. Of course if you let the enemy have clear shots at you you'll be dead. Skill and tactics are required, you can't just blame the turrets and hulls. Thunder never was good at close range combat.. the self-damage has always been a weakness. Of course Railgun and Shaft have high damage, they're meant to take out the Light hulls. And how is Rail overpowered? Make them miss and their attack is negated. Smoky's impact is quite high, so get used to adjusting aim and driving around. Freeze effect is frustrating, but you of course outrange them. And btw, M2 Freeze unlocks at Warrant Officer 5... earliest M2 unlock. And if you think Hornet is weak, just upgrade to a Medium hull or buy a paint to protect yourself. Of course, the main thing is to have fun. If you no longer are having fun, then just don't play the game.

Not if you're in a Shaft war against a Mammoth, then it isn't the best.

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?

So many things, can't even list nearly enough. But some of the most irritating include mults, "noobs", and people who brag about themselves. For example, a Warrant Officer on my team using Mammoth in a CTF battle I was in camped on the flag. When I got the enemy flag and attempted to capture it, the noob would not budge. He blocked my path and the drugger chasing me killed both of us, because of his inaction. The flag was returned and I was just frustrated to the extreme. -
But when its charge runs out, Rico is pretty helpless.

Think M3 Isida would be a good choice, or just to go for M3 Freeze?
-
Anytime, and this is the reasoning I use to convince myself not to buy the Paint Kit (though I do want Prodigi badly). :)
-
The effect of the projectile hitting you. Like when Smoky or Rail shoots you in the corner/sides, your tank is moved. Or Rico/Twins pummeling your tank.
-
True, but why spend all those crystals for a paint? Why not save instead for the M3 Freeze and perhaps M3 Viking that you need in the future, and get Inferno when you reach the rank? Will the paint really give you that much of an advantage?
-
Corrosion is junk, don't buy it. Low protection against many weapons doesn't cut it. Tundra is a pretty good paint because Rail is so very prominent. Don't buy paints for looks, unless the paint looks very cool lol (why I bought Electra, just is epic :D) .
-
I'm also saving for that kit. The main point of the kit is that you get M3 Railgun 3 ranks earlier, at Brigadier instead of General (a gap of 283000 xp) and M3 Hornet 1 rank earlier. The paints aren't amazing, but Spark could become a great Rico paint with a few MUs. Needle would probably go unused unless you need a Shaft paint, because Smoky is pretty uncommon these days.
-
The modern-day equivalent would be 500 crystal boxes with 3x the chance, but why would the devs be that unoriginal? And anyways, the gold boxes are already tripled, why mess around with them anymore? This topic should be closed.
-
That's ok, just begin to save for whatever combo you want. And M1 Hornet isn't a noob hull, people using Railgun with it at my ranks still.
-
Just find yourself a Freeze, Isida, or just self destruct like a coward. Your choice :P
-
Don't really know, because Tanki physics confuse me. Seriously, how does a Freeze make you fall slower? Weight probably deals with how recoil from weapons and impact force affect you.
-
I also made my account years before rebalance, and my rating has declined. Yet in the space of a little more than a month it's improved from 300k+ to 217k. So play often, and rating will increase.

M2 Smoky unlock is really quite late, and the fact that Firebird M2 is now amazing means I would recommend Firebird. The after burn lasts for a very long time and is quite deadly. Smoky is an amazing turret, but the new lowered range has radically changed it. And if you do stick with Wasp, Wasp M2 and Firebird M2 is a perfect combination.
-
Keep in mind the cost difference of the two turrets and the amounts of skill required for both, as well as your own preferences. I'd choose Rico M2 myself due to the challenge it presents and the longer range, because Twins range is quite low.
-
Did you get your M2 Shaft yet? And problem with Mammoth/Titan is the big target you become. All the Railguns will be able to hit you much more easily and you won't be able to run away from Light hulls.
-
It is worth saving for, but it would be best to have some more turrets so that the hulls don't go to waste. Maybe try saving for a cheaper M2 like M2 Freeze first.
