the editor won't run on my end, i have ubuntu. and what is worng with poeple making their own maps? I know. notice the word private? as in only people accepted? this is what i despise. make it open and allow anyone to show their map ideas. the game will not be flooded with custom maps, thats the best part. only PRIVATE battles will have custom maps meaning you can play with freinds and people you invite. when you look at games in list you will only see the quality maps made by the mapmakers. the whole point of an idea guys is to CHANGE. not to point at me and say its just not so.

(the size of 18 smileys) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) to load google home page : 27.04 kB (html) map data is very small because it is done in blocks (like minecraft, not saying it should be minecraft) then genrated on the clients computer. this is very different to maps already on the server, that they have all the polygons saved and sent over (i assume) also when a game ends, it is automatcially destroyed anyway, so the map will no longer exist on the server. it is temporerily on the server while the game is in play. Im not saying we should have a whole section on tanki where maps would be uploaded (maby a forum?) and stored causing mass ammounts of maps. :P why does everyone assume flood of maps, honestly how many private battles do you play every day with tanki players you don't know ?

Sadly... no. I can develop apps but tanki is difficult because I have no real control over it. All I can do is wrap it up or change cache settings ect. I need man-power to solve this problem (or a tanki dev) because I need to know the solution to a bug that I have no control over I cannot edit tanki code. :(

I know, but i do not require an app-devloper to find bugs :/ What it is, tanki won't finish loading. If anyone has had that happen on desktop and has a solution to that that problem, then i can apply that same solution to this problem :)

It will be out when i have game running within the app. please help by finding a past post that answers the previous bug with screenshot. because this bug looks like the only problem stopping it from running =/

My tablet is twice as powerful than my laptop. It would a huge benefit if tanki decided to open their eyes and see that we have very capable devices and they are not a novelty. One way to prove this is to get a prototype concept built up so they can see that they do have an audience the more people the more likely. I am not doing this because its gona replace my computer I want a tablet to run the game because its small, powerful and portable. I do not however expect to get super performance with flash, and gpu rendering is out of the question. But a port is possible.

This is not running tanki on ipad, this is running tanki on a remote server then giving you the screen output remotely. This is not a good way of running tanki because you are sending your details through a 3rd party server. If and when this app is working, it will be open-source so you guys can see the code. Everything else is done by tanki.

Yes in know about this, But my idea is to have a super stripped down editor (fake 3d) Then copy paste code. This should be a tool that takes under a minute to learn, 5 minutes to create a a basic map, and can be played with friends within 20 seconds. Require no tools that needs downloading and run, all done in the browser. After all, tanki is a browser based multi player game. And when you make a map in the already existing editor you cannot play a proper game with your freinds.

Ok anyone with android 4.0.x ICS Please could you the folloing and tell me what happens? 1) open up native android browser (not chrome) 2) go to tanki and try to play a game like normal. 3) see if it loads. You need flash installed. I get the above error mentioned with the screenshot

i have HP TouchPad with CM9 It has some duel core 1.5 ghz proccessor underclocked to 1.2 ghz It is capable of running on 1.5 but HP found that it gets a little warm so they underclocked it But when i run tanki it will only utilize 1 core (which it should have full use of as the system can use the other) Because as far as im aware flash does not allow threading.(yet)

Ok guys this is the problem i am getting, When i try to load the game in the app i see this: Then it disappears and nothing more happens. Has anyone had this bug in a desktop browser? If so what solved it? This will be very helpful because it seems to be the only thing stopping me. This is still a bug. If someone can replicate this on a desktop machine and find a solution to fix it, i could potentially fix this version.

I am currently developing an app to make running tanki on android tablets easy. It will include onscreen controls and can access the forum and more. It is just in the beginning so i need as much support as possible, so if you are or know any android developers that play tanki then please help me get in contact. Also please put any of your suggestions in the comments below. Remember i have no control on the layout/game interface i can only overlay things over the top like controls and settings. I have got the main tanki Flash file to load but it stalls at the loading screen. What are your thoughts?

Nothing fancy, just easy isometricplacement, a test button, and the ability to save, load and copy link. save should output text-code, load should ask for text-code. the text-code representing the level. Then if you want to make a game with it, it must be private, to prevent people flooding with custom levels Most of tanki looks like it was done in tile format anyway so I don't see this being a difficult task. For anyone that likes to read:

it is just an error downloading the texture. It is not lag. Lag is when your game is behind the server so pauses while it waits for an update. low FPS is not so much LAG but it can be used. :) i have seen it multiple times, just ignore it and take advantage of the fact they are clear as day.

So when is the dictionary getting added to? also if anyone actually cares about what we say then block characters like 1 and ! if someone is trying to bypass the filter. Have a list of characters and a list of characters they look like, then when each sentance is checked ! can be replaced by i and so on so it filter them out too. I can right one in as3 if you like, or java.

Yes, but there are some nice large screened phones aswell. Think of the xperia play aswell. On another note why not get onto ouya. It is an open-source console that costs like $99 that has actual controllers and xbox 360 quality graphics.

Correction, the server does not send these frames, they are created on your computer, otherwise everyone would be getting 1.2 fps =D
