( which I'm pretty sure I wont be able to get over with) but I have been thinking recently through his point that arguing here wont do any good :D. Shaft after rebalance became one of the most usless weapons if you don't use power-ups, fully loaded it cannot kill a viking M3

Yeah, i agree with that. enemies see you, there's no point in hiding. the railgun is a much better option, but I still can't use that gun well. It would have been way better if they just made a red dot visible, and not the entire laser, which you could use to track the shaft. they could also speed up the load time, but that still wouldn't be the same.

Thanks everyone for providing me with valuable feedback over hundreds of my posts filled with love :wub:.

For a final price of advice, let me give a brief description about myself.

I was here even before the first rebalance was even here. I was her when shaft was SO OP that it could one shot nearly every medium hull even with a m1 or m0 and like everyone of you over here I was sooooo fond of my shaft and enjoyed using it to the highest extent. Like all of you I faced those shaft haters, and I too had the same reply that most of you guys are pulling at me to fight those anti shafters. My career with shaft went on to the rank around marshal where I currently have a m4 shaft. ( to dfoofnik, kid you simpky don't know about me........ ). The thing I realized then was that my skills over other turrets were minimal or nothing at all. ( yes I only used shaft till that rank and occasionally Viking freeze). I know it may not be most of your dream but, it was my dream to join a good clan and join the cybersports section in the latter stages of my career. My dream was totally ruined by shaft when I realized that I simply couldn't operate a railgun ( which Is intact a basic need if you are planning to join a good clan in tanki). That is when I decided to give up and start over my tanki career again. I know how much bad it sounds for you guys( I have been exactly there hearing the same thing ) but unfortunately with all my experience I believe that rail needs tons more skills to operate than shaft and that is the simplest of truth. My advice for you would be do keep using shaft but only at the risk of knowing it certainly WILL affect you'd skills and if you're planning to join a good clan or starladder in the future I suggest not using shaft at all. I am sure most of you have tons of pointa to rack up against my post but believe it or not what I said was the truth that I have gained through my experience. ( I have more than 3500000+ xp altogether in all my accounts) <----- sorry for showing off :D.

Yup! It seems Shaft-Hornet can still work even at my rank! Although Hornet M3 would be great...

 

And for all the Shaft haters out there, Shaft on a Hornet CAN be used as an assault weapon if used right. Quicksniping is fun :D

Especially on Mammoths.

Don't forget point blank face offs with railguns and shafts while still in motion. One missed shot can be a bad mistake. Had one with dark.shado while going 1vs1 2 days back. I think he still took me out with his hunter if I remember right, although it took pretty long and it seemed like I had my chance being a hornet. Awesome 30 minutes it was!

You know, this part of your post sounds so villainous from one perspective(I don't know how I felt that), and "valentine like" from another

 

To your remaining part of your post which hasn't been included in the quote, I do know quite a lot of you now, but I've noticed the way I've used shaft has not affected my abilities with other turrets that badly, because I try using it like any other turret at times. 

 

By the way, like you with your first account, I also use freeze as a secondary, but with hornet as usual and mainly for defense when my team can't keep the flag from being stolen

Actually I meant those moments when you and the enemy tank are moving round in circles like some yin-yang thingee and shooting at each other, and changing direction, thus causing a likely mistake from the shooter. Everything works well when you know the opposing turret as well as your internet connection:D

I'm sorry but was this meant to be another one of your dumbest ever posts? I'm sorry but was this meant to be another one of your dumbest ever posts?( just like the one where you said freeze and fire should have auto aim? That was ONE incident out of many, you've had your fair share of terrible, poorly thought of and hypocritical posts<----- :D :D :D :D ) shaft was never meant to be a great attacker. We have people using Hornet-Rail, and use it to go offense? It's hardly a weapon to go raid bases with with yet people do it?   Here are my reasons,

 

1) Low reload rate of shaft  - ok lets say you somehow made it to the enemy base. How the hell do you expect yourself to survive with a turret that has a reload time with an ULTRA HIGH reload time. *cough* railgun *cough* (and the little startup spark thingy that literally tells the opponent you are about to fire)I don't think arcade shots can do you any better either a fully drugged such "attacking" shaft can be stopped in mere seconds by a single undrugged Rico or ( insert any short ranged turret here). I can do 140 dmg at the sergeant ranks in a matter of seconds?

 

2) Low rotation speed- How do you expect to battle the defenders with the low turret rotation speed? I use thunder, which has one of the slowest rotation speeds ingame, by that logic Thunder is a bad offense weapon yet people use it for offense often. Logic?

 

Why in the world would someone need to use a shaft in attacking ( or more preferably to capture flags ) when there are more than enough turrets which can get the job done better. ( Same as being an attacker with a mammy freeze) Highest damage ingame for unlimited range? Also, campers may be expected and going on offense may confuse the enemy on what to do against you. 90% of PvP is mindgames...

 

I know there are such people who believe they can attack well with shaft and crumple the enemies. You have never done game commands that have a 1-6 frame window to accomplish, have you? Even if you feel that does not apply to this game, you can still go on offense if you have a good understanding of the enemy's current position/formation and punish any weaknesses in it.

 

They should be either

 

a) aged 3 so that their understanding of this game might be low,  HMMM I'm certainly not three yet I have taken a screenshot of me "quickscoping" throughout a course of a battle successfully. You're also implying that most three year olds can be good at OTHER shooters (FPS and TPS)

B) Have a low IQ.

c) have watched too much of the movie "300"? :D What? I'm pretty sure 300 has to do with Sparta's battle at Thermopylae, and i'm pretty sure little to no snipers were involved, as the movie was focusing on the Spartans themselves. (probably my ignorance, as i don't watch movies.)

 

Such captures with shaft might happen once in a blue moon at lower ranks where there are people who can't turn their turrets at all. But they do go extinct when you surpass the rank of brigadier where every player has understood the basics of this game. What's my point you may ask? My point is that every turret is meant to do some job or is certainly better at different and unique positions of this game. If such "noble" shafter who has tons of "skills" and a "brave" heart joins one of my games I would rather ask him politely to leave or leave the game myself. Playing with a mult is far more enjoyable than that.....Meanwhile, he makes a 20-flag comeback in a 1hr 25 minute match. You're implying shooting games don't have a skill ceiling, and that shooting games are item-based?

Please don't try to prove dumb points. :D As if 90% of your arguments don't relate to a stupid point that holds no water? I need to stop eating while on the TO forums so i don't have to write a will in a few minutes.

The thing I hate about shaft is that it is overpowered, takes no skill to use and ruins so many battles. Many maps are unplayable for non-shaft users because one team just camps on one side with a bunch of shafts, making it impossible for anyone to move without getting hit. So many maps like highways, massacre, camp, brest, monte carlo, serpuhov, osa, deathtrack, stadium, the top of esplanade are ruined by people with shaft. People who drug with it are even worse, why do they even bother playing, it takes no skill, like shooting animals in a cage.

Do you have any issues with understanding simplest of facts in a text? Maybe you do..... Do please re-read my passage and try to understand the stuff correctly before trying to prove your mostly dumb points. Furthermore most of my arguments (not only in this topic) are based on my experience unlike yours which have either utter stupidity or dumb assumptions behind them.

Did you even read anything i typed? I read EVERYTHING you typed twice over. Please don't be a hypocrite, if anything. If you are, can you not be toxic while doing it, so we can at least click the "Let's Discuss Shaft" thread without having to worry about a flame war the next minute. Also, I'd say I have a fair share of experience, as I have played since tiers were a thing. I also play OTHER GAMES, which include games that also need constant updates for balancing. You're not specifically addressing any of my "mostly dumb points" so I can't tell where my "utter stupidity" lies? I can agree with you, but all you do the majority of the time is literally say (type) "your posts are terrible, why would I want to read your posts, I shouldn't bother addressing my point because this person is so stupid" Meanwhile, your argument against shaft so far has been:
