Those blotches should disappear in a couple of minutes. Just too bad it doesn't stay longer so you could write with Shaft.

yeah, i don't always have enough mines to write with them in a parkour battle whenever i get banned.

If I remember correctly, there can only be a number of those bloctches on a map, or a certain time limit, whichever comes first. I forgot the time limit, but the number of shots can be seen here -> http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=348189 . So once there are more than 10 marks on the map, the ones shot first will start disappearing ;)

Apparently yes o.O I never knew that before.. oh well xD although clearly it's quite a long range, I wouldn't worry about that too much ;)

Is the range long enough to hits someone else in another battle?

of course it can, just yesterday i was at a parkour match at silence space mode on EU5 and i was trying to use my recoil to help my friend get a gew flips but i missed and accudentally shot and killed a recruit who was at a sandal battle in EU16.

In my opinion its about time to get rid of the laser and go back to the way it used to be. To get full charge you have to sit there forever letting everyone know your position. Its even worse with Magnum in the game as they can hide behind the wall and kill you. The whole point of being a sniper is to remain hidden. If you use it in arcade mode it may as well be smoky

As with life, everyone you meet will know something you don't.  :)

But either way will bring you back to reloading.

The sad part is that yes, you are reloading, not fully charged still.

THE ONLY advantage to this is you make no noise when you do it.

I don't think so.. Range of max damage for M0 is 50... To put that into perspective, here is the length of aleksandrovsk.. Mb--cmRUQO655USpAMbmjA.png

I'll check more about it :)

If you do find out more, I'd love to know.  That has always been something I wonder about.  Do shafts engage at any range period, and is ther a arcade vs sniper mode range issue, or is sniper unlimited.

Dat spelling doe . . .

I wasn't going to say anything, but, since you did, yeah, that's worth a laugh.  I mean, recording your gayplay with your shaft, I mean, this is a youth friendly environment, I think they skirted the realm of decency here.

Some shaft m4 gameplay. Need to say that this was 2nd game with almost the same players in the enemy team, all of them started to use protection modules so I decided to play twins at the end. And, of cource it was more battle beetween my pirate bandicam and FPS, than me vs enemyes) Anyways, plenty of modules prooves that shaft is very strong in the right hands.

Would you like to see hornet and shaft on sandbox next time?

What I liked most there, was the fact that there was no drugging.  I can't imagine constantly changing the camera angle like you do, but, you are certainly deft with a hornet/shaft.

I'm pretty sure that only applies to arcade shots, not sniper mode.

Yep, that's correct. Sniper mode is independent from range and deals a constant damage (as long as you as compare it with shots of the same charge level). The arcade mode damage is random (gauss curve damage values between min. and max damage) and is depending on range, which means that i.e. shooting past the range of min. damage deals normally 50% of the average of min. and max. damage.

Wow.  Weak damage is 50% for shaft arcade shot?

LOL smoky can't even compete with the arcade shot, let alone the scope mode.

yeah but shaft has worse vertical aiming, turret rotation and impact. not to mention shaft is so wide and long and thick... smoky is a far stealthier sniper than shaft is. in my opinion shaft is a OP turret that takes no skill while smoky is harder to use but can be more effective if used properly.

Well at least Smoky has a slightly better dps than Shaft in arcade mode... but a worse one for distant shots  -_-

the only time arcade is used is when you have to save yourself while you're not fully powered up to use a scope. because it does no self damage, scope is just as effective at close range and far range. so even at close range a shaft can land a scope shot before finishing off its oponent with arcade shots. because of the impact from a scope shot and its ability to accurately hit any part of an enemy including the tip of his turret, shaft can easily whirl its enemy around to get a headstart in the following exchange of shots. smoky only has a higher dps than shaft arcade shots if that shaft doesnt have assault emmiters.

shaft is really the most OP turret and easiest to use right now. so many noobs easily get about 40 kills and 0 deaths with it very often.

Actually I do agree that Shaft is better than an average turret, but I wouldn't call it very OP. Yes, it does kill a Viking in oneshot, but it has to load a long time before to do so. In general there are others that hurt the balance more  I don't agree with you on using scope mode at close range though, because you are far more flexible with arcade and arcade dps is better than sniper dps.

Thank you with your remark about the alteration. I noticed that the damage increase is higher than the reload increase (I always thought it was the other way around ), which doesn't make sense, because a longer reload and higher damage per shot generally means it is for bigger distances and offers worse dps numbers, but this is not the case here.

Umm... no... Magnum wasn't changed yet.

Edit: Did you include critical hits into your Smoky dps calculation?

Shaft is still most OP turret when playing supplies on DM, any map. Pulling average 60ish kill is not an issue.

Any map?

Island?  Wave?

Small maps or maps with plenty of cover do not favor Shaft.

Shaft would struggle against a Titan Twins with supplies on in a face-to-face battle.
