The average blowout in matchmaking..

I don't get why the typical mults always get share of the fund aswell though.

Look at their score they tried to contribute

Odd how no one seems to care about camping Shafts, they just sit there undisturbed, destroying everyone. I just did it myself, parked my tank in a random spot (in the enemies base!!) and proceeded to demolish the opposition. Weirdest of all, they knew I was there, but no one tried to stop me, they went for other targets instead.

Which map ?

Barda. I stood the whole battle behind a pillar (beside the small bridge) and no one fought back, unbelievable. Being a sniper in this game is easier than I thought.

It's true, I see it aswell in CTF when I use Mammoth. I guess the health is discouraging and the main objective is still to capture flags anyway.

On the other hand there are always enemies who notice that you're farming kills and target you as if you were a Magnum.

Shaft got a new enemy aswell: Freeze.

Well all turrets with impact force can be pretty annoying if we are in scope mode

impact is one thing... but invisible ammo +super projectile speed+faster reload+faster turret rotation+higher vertical aim...

I feel that Shaft should be made so that the laser always shows when in scope mode. Right now it only shows when the shot is near full-charge, which means that you can one-shot Wasps and Hornets without the laser being visible. It's quite unbalanced and feels extremely BS when you are instakilled by a snipe that you had no way of knowing was there. If there's 1,000-1,200 damage being aimed at me, I would at least like to be given some warning about it, so at least I can TRY to do something about it.

No other weapon can instakill so easily, inconspicuously, and at such long ranges as Shaft can, and for good reason too. It's unbalanced to be able to kill so easily and give your enemy nearly zero chance to even realize they are in grave danger.

Making it that way will make it even harder for Shafts

really? I thought shaft can scope only with the laser shown. never knew the laser showed up after half charge :o

any way shaft is best as it is. quite balanced people who complain are usually hornets/wasps who have not yet mastered the art of curving in and out of a snipers path using speed to their advantage or the art of poping behind the shafter somehow (i dont know how they do so  (wish i knew ) )

Just use mouse controls, point the laser on the ground in front of you, hold the right mouse button and you can view around without a visible laser.

If the enemy shows up, release the right mouse button and the laser will automatically move towards the enemy where you're aiming at.

I never snipe with a visible laser, you lose the element of suprise.

another way to use shaft is point your shaft to a wall or any nearby object when the enemy comes switch the aim on him and fire in the hole !!!

for this you need fast reflex and a good spot.

Teach me mouse control with shaft i am getting now where with my rat

It only works for me in the Standalone; every other browser or client is impossible to use because of the lags and jittery mouse movement.

Yeah... no.

You have to be right next to a shaft to move faster than them, turret turning speed just goes up too high past m2, and speed boost affecting turning speed doesn't make things any fairer. A shaft can just sit in the middle of any moderately open space and charge up a shot capable of one shotting a light hull before they can even react.

The same problem is with vulcan, with speed boost you can turn your turret faster than a light hull can circle around you and impact can push them away.

Lol me neither, yeah maybe after 30 seconds or so; the client starts catching up with all the movement I tried to do in scope mode. The sensitivity is totally out of wack aswell.. it goes from really slow to really fast and then really slow again. Impossible to play. All browsers have the same and the HTML5 client is even worse.

Standalone Flash Player is the only option.. you still see Flash limitations when it tries to follow your mouse movement. Quite often it gives pop-up errors and the whole screen Freezes up or shows inversed colors. Flags and CP icons move around while everything else is static and so on..

It was way worse 1,5 years ago. I had pop-up errors as soon as I started playing and decided to leave the game for awhile. They finally fixed it somewhere last year fortunately. The pop up errors have completely disappeared but they're back now since 2-3 weeks. Hopefully they won't get as frequent as they were once were.

I'm gonna use M0 stats for this.

*Cough*Magnum

Magnum is indeed a bit too powerful considering how it can ignore cover, but I think this is accounted for by all its additional nerfs such as the additional difficulty of operating it compared to Shaft, combined with that fact that it cannot turn the turret, and a very long reload (it also deals a bit less damage than Shaft's best invisi-snipe)

*cough*& Rail

Railgun is far worse for stealth one-shotting than Shaft. Railgun deals like half the damage of Shaft's best invisi-snipe (M0 Railgun averages 600 damage, Shaft can reach 1,200 damage and still not have a laser). In fact, Railgun's MAX damage (about 800) still won't one-shot full-HP Wasp or Hornet. It also has a very prominently indicated one-second delay before it actually fires, and leaves a very conspicuous trail for one second after firing, neither of which Shaft has.

Making it that way will make it even harder for Shafts

"Even harder"? Shaft is very powerful right now. It's one of the best weapons for achieving a high K/D ratio. It can accurately and reliably snipe out targets with damage that rivals Striker. And on top of that, you can easily kill the two most popular hulls and cripple the two medium ones without even letting them know.

This change is just to make it harder to do the latter. Shaft already gets plenty enough kills without having to use stealth snipes, catching exposed enemies that can't run to cover before the shot reaches lethal. All I want is to make it so that Shaft can't just teleport a mine right under your tank, from halfway across the map.

oh , i drop it

Yes , at M0 things you said are true ,if all guys you face are also M0

and Rail is meant to be kind of like mobile sniper

And i like Shaft as it is now , to get a high k/d you need to camp and in MM battle camping really don't give that much rewards

I have played M1 battles and I can assure you that Shaft is just as unbalanced in M1 as it is in M0.

That isn't the case. Practically every time you charge up your Shaft you'll find someone that you can snipe. Just find a spot where you've got a good view and some cover and snipe away. They can't avoid in time and light hulls don't even get to see it coming. You've got enough damage to kill most enemies that try to attack you, and the times you get backstabbed and die are more than made up for by how many kills you rack up.

I bought the +30% alt at the B-day sale. I just use Shaft occasionally so I didn't get around to trying it ... OMG! You can deliver a bigger hit, yes... but I did not realize how fast it lest you shoot partial damage scope shots w/o warning time.  Over and over and over with sold scope-accurate shots.  And of course the Big Hit when there's the chance.

It is so easy to kill compared to Smoky it really is hard to justify.
