Okay, you've got to post that...sounds awesome

video 1

video 2

It's not that clear because the first video was probably a scope shot, given that the hornet died in one try aswell.

The second video shows the arcade shots. No drugged mammoth M3's there but it was possible to kill everything with simple arcade shots even with a Shaft M0.

Is this why they removed the penetration ability for shaft? If it was added back it would make for more interesting gameplay

No, I think that ability was removed a couple years after 2013. I figure it was removed to make railgun more unique as the only turret with a penetrative shot, but if anyone has a different reason I'd like to hear it. I really miss having it for shaft, and would love to see it return.

I would love to see it applied when hitting a light hull, but it would be OP to have it also for heavy hull.

It is possible to earn a free kill by shooting at the barrel of a Shaft. Did that before... troll 'im.

Never tried that. I've only aimed at the barrel of a Magnum.

Don't. Or this will force Magnum to spam Eagle module.

I was in scope mode one time... saw another Shaft noob in scope mode too. Me aiming at his/her Shaft's barrel with DD... BOOM!!!

That guy did not noticed.

Other time... I targeted another Hornet-Shaft, killed his tank... he goes "Shaft noob" I was like what?! I no camping!

Hm... if you are a Shaft, what hull and modules would you equip/recommend?

I haven't played my Shaft account in a while, but what I usually have loaded is Shaft, Railgun, and Magnum. My hull is Dictator.

This was also at the height of the disdain for shafts, when every non turret turning brawler couldn't help but wet their little skevvies every time they were sniped.  It happened about the time laser was introduced, a little before or after.  It was another concession to the rest of pecker heads that can't play tanki unless they were ramming their enemy with DD and DA on.

Laser was introduced somewhere in 2015, it's a while later

Laser update is good anyway because it only shows after you are full charged and you should already have been able to find a kill and shoot by then

Don't stay in scope forever that's a mistake while using Shaft.

My Firebird/Wasp account got a lot of Shafts that way. On a Rio battle, we were red. A Shaft was sitting up on the grassy ledge where a lot of snipers love to hang out. My Wasp went up the ramp and right under his laser. Another chalk up notch in my turret.

One thing I love to do to Shafts when I use Firebird is fire at them directly at their laser, from the front or back, so they're completely blinded. I would feel bad for them after because this has happened to me many times when I used Shaft.

Happened to me before when I use Shaft. I just pop my drug and kill them...

Not always that easy. Firebirds have come at me shining that fire right in my face and while I'm blind, they move slightly off center, out of line of fire. But I don't know which way they went, left or right, still throwing fire in my face. And if you happen to be looking in your scope at the time, the fire is even more glaring.

It's enough to even cause potential eye damage.

Literally coming first in every battle, the assault emitter alteration has really helped.

On my way to getting Shaft to m4

In my experience the best modules to use with shaft is
Railgun
Magnum
Thunder

This is just personal preference but these three turrets are some of the most common ones to see anywhere.

I only see, on average, 1 - 2 Magnum players in a 16 player MM battle. They aren't that common but it's also good to protect yourself against them.
