What alteration would you recommend for Shaft after the latest balance update? I'm torn between light capacitors and rapid fire mode.

"Short-Band Emitter" or "Light Capacitor" for a lieutenant general who would play with a Shaft Mk6 on either a Viking or a Titan in MM team battle?

Personally, I would go with Rapid-Fire Mode. Combined with Hornet OD and DD, there's really nothing on the battlefield that would survive the insane damage caused by that 3-shot salvo, except maybe a Juggernaut with full health.

Shaft is a sniper, if you want to fire 3 powerful shots then buy Hammer

i bought light capacitors cause i cant use rapid fire . @Tidebreaker was right .it's really good for aggresive gameplay .though i use hunter with it i can go and win in 1v1 against turrets like thunder, magnum ,smoky etc

Yeah LC is really powerfull. RFM is for noobs (i mean, for people who don't want to learn how to use shaft effectively, just want to use an alt to quickly kill people. )

I still dont understand why people want to snipe with RFM. Make a choice, go either full-out attack or try to understand the sniping-mechanics. As @mjmj5558 mentioned, which I fully agree with, Rapid Fire Mode is for those who are not bothered to learn how to efficiently use Shaft at all and solely use it for easy kill-farming - which for me completely defeats the entire purpose of the turret.

If one wants to truly improve in Shaft, I suggest buying Light Capacitors, since it emphasizes the more important aspects of sniping, making you a better and more tactic sniper.

Thus, to finally answer your question, go for Light Capacitors if you can afford it. SBE isn't a bad choice either, but this alteration is best to use in the high ranks when you have a strong Shaft and your damage-output is significantly higher.

EDIT: I saw that you are a Lieutenant-General. In this case, both augments are good, but to improve as a sniper, LC is your best bet!

Who's playing on HTML5? My camera keeps getting ****ed up throughout the match when scoping in and out. When I'm scoped, it's like my tank is on a seesaw!

On my WO4 account, the scope seems to move really fast on HTML even without speed boost.

Well they removed Heavy Cap's horizontal debuff and Light Caps has a horizontal boost...

I think what's going on is that when you're at full speed on a light/medium hull and you scope in, the camera keeps the tank's momentum and rocks the scope. Pure speculation though. If i don't find an answer i'm not buying shaft this sale

I have a couple of videos that I plan on doing tomorrow and uploading very soon about Firebird's alterations - maybe after that?

I can play with every turret on the HTML client except Shaft. It is jumpy...way too jumpy. Can't figure out why. I miss so many shots when zooming in (I use LC alt)...it isn't worth playing for me. So I switch to Vulcan or Rico or Smoky on the HTML and do just fine.
