Most OP turret in game right now and with rapid fire alt you get no way to survive..

Unless you have protection. RFM has the advantage in surprise combat and CQC against all of the other Shafts. 

 

For now, I'd say Gauss and Magnum are potentially the most powerful turrets in the game. Shaft comes in at a close 3rd or a tied for 2nd.

 

RF was nerfed, LCs is better now in some ways.

They seemed to have made it an attractive turret. I found the last buff to the sniping shot reload pushing it. Who knows? If protection modules against it start to skyrocket, maybe the frustration being thrown at it would decrease.

According to the wiki the charge time is 1 second... And that's a 3300 shot coming your way. So either have eagle, titan/mammoth, or die.

It takes 4 seconds to fully charge a sniping shot with Stock Shaft. Where did you see 1 second?

He saw total scoping time, divided it by the number of modifications (M0, M1, M2, and M3) and bravo! he gave our turret a major buff ;)

Hehe, that's not what that means. This is where the RU Wiki prevails over the EN Wiki.

 

The energy consumption in sniping mode for Shaft is 250 units per second. That is 4 seconds of charging. 

 

That "Energy consumption sniping" parameter you see in the EN Wiki is the amount of energy that a confirmed sniping shot (a shot that has surpassed the minimum amount of charge to become sniping shot) will consume. That is why Shaft's energy depletes to 0 immediately after a half-charged sniping shot, 1/4-charged sniping shot, 1/3-charged sniping shot etc. 

 

The RU wiki has more in-depth explanations which makes some parameters' meanings less arbitrary or convergent.

I'd like to ask Tanki Online not to introduce any new upgrades for shaft. Just bring back what was taken away: restore the wide scope angle, increase damage, make doubles and triples possible again, stop the rocking (which his a hall issue), While you at it, get rid of one thing - the tracer. Just that will make the Shaft a formidable weapon once more. Because now it is one of the weakest guns. The Gauss doesn't have one, the smokey too.

What are double and triples?

 

The rocking effect is terrible.  It's weird but it takes away some of the fun for me, especially when using shaft.

Double and Triple kills.

 

Years ago, Shaft's arcade and sniping projectiles had penetrating power the same way Railgun has today and always had. So essentially, you were able to damage more than one enemy with an arcade or sniping shot, which resulted in occasional double and triple kills. They removed this ability from Shaft so that the penetrating mechanic can be unique to Railgun. 

 

I got a triple kill once with a sniping shot once, as well as a double kill with an arcade shot.

Made a stadium battle, only russians joined. I had no idea what anyone was saying so I killed a Wasp/Hammer player and ranked up, although I do think that was an accidental move, but whatever. I then dropped some golds I had for them, because there's no rank up without golds am I right? Everyone left soon after that... fun isn't it. :rolleyes:
