Each tank has their own sort of internal clock for tending towards neutral temperature. Hence why sometimes you deal an afterburn tick almost immediately as you heat someone above 10% of maximum temperature, and why sometimes the tick takes almost a full second to come.

Freeze was strong for all time. but with hornet OD, both of turret are OP. just different style and tactics.

I don't think it was strong before, but now it's definitely OP.

yes I can’t play much these days :(

but I had the time to played one battle in lost temple today, which is how I noticed a significant change in Freeze :)

but I was using wasp not hornet (but then, overdrives were disabled lol)

Are you all using it with blaster? I faced that with my wasp 7+, BA at 100% and Defender drone kicked in...I was dead in less than 2 seconds. It had the armor piercing augment too. It was crazy to face.

Why is this thing so OP. The critical shots just hurt. And you can't shoot it. The only reason Freeze/Hornet isn't more widely used is cause of all the Hornet nerfs. If you want it to be used just give it an HD skin and more augments that don't apply stun or whatever nonsense.

Freeze would now perform better as an assault tank on top of Wasp or Hornet or a fast medium… if you play it according to its freezing effect that is.

Nk longer the best defender with a heavy hull as the effect doesn’t slow the hulls much anymore, but I think it’s at least better than it was after the first nerf last year, it can circle strafe nicely again :)

The shock freeze augment is somewhat balanced, as it allows for hull movement rather than turret, but the freeze in whole is buffed a lot. The 5x crit puts the enemy at disadvantage whether it's a one-one situation or collective as a team. It wipes the tank so quickly u don't even have time to apply full effect of repair kit.

Yes I did play a few battles recently and found many enemies died very quick from critical shots…

why were they added to all turrets in the first place anyway makes Smoky less unique doesn’t it, but as a freeze user, I’m not complaining much ;-\

I mean no one would complain if their turret of choice gets a major buff ? 

Even 2x or 3x would be somewhat understandable but 5x is too much , if equipped hornet or booster then ..... rage

Freeze is currently busted and it renders Firebird obsolete. Even more so since it has excellent Augments: Shock Freeze, Corrosive Mix and AP.

 

The Crits are just too high. (I have AP freeze and with Hornet's OD the damage is absurd)

Indeed, freeze does require a nerf, it's inevitable. In close range combat like the current DM mode, 1v1 situations with freeze is too painful. It deals devastating damage continuously.

As much as I like Freeze, it is true. Earlier the problem with 1v1 freeze was the freezing effect (which was fine by players for years after it’s re-balance till it’s nerf last October :ph34r:), and now it has OP critical dmg.

Let me say this again for a Millionth time -  Freeze is OP and broken with almost any hull you can try it with, most deadly with hornet nowadays and Dictator. The unusual critical spike provides many disadvantage in 1v1 battles.
