Ideas for Game Modes!

Dominator

 

There will be one "Super Tank" that is significantly better than the other tanks at the start of each round. Every player will be trying to destroy him/her/it and the player that deals the most damage to the tank when it is destroyed will become the next Dominator. The player who deals the most damage becomes the highest on the leaderboard and so on. There will be this super mathy formula that calculates how long the Dominator lasts and kind of mix that with the other players who deal damage to the Dominator. It will be kind of complicated but it will be worth it in the end.

Here a NEW idea??

 

Why just have Team modes with 2 teams?? 

 

Lets go crazy with CHINESE CHECKER style madhouse but in teams!! 

 

MADHOUSE TEAM DEATH MATCH (MTDM) / MADHOUSE CAPTURE THE FLAG (MCTF), and even 

MADHOUSE CONTROL POINT (MCP)!

 

 

So creating the game, one can choose how Many teams on the map, from 3-6. So those on Team 1 must kill those on Team 2, and Team 3. Although teams 2 & 3 still having to kill each other, have to kill you and your team as well! 

 

When setting up any MADHOUSE map, you choose how many teams their are, and how many per team, but not exceeding the max limit for the map. So for Brest for ex, I believe has a max of 24 on the map. If two teams, max per team is 12, if three teams, max per team is 8. If 4 teams, max per team is 6. If 5 teams, max per team is 5, with only 20 on map. And last, if 6 teams, max per team would be 4. 

 

Just imagine the CHAOS... the MADHOUSE that it would be!! If only 3 teams, working with your team of 8, you have to worry about 16 others in two different teams... If you approach a battle between two other team members, might let them finish and than take the second kill... or interrupt the fight with something like Firebird or Thunder destroying both same time if already damaged.

 

Obviously the objective would be keeping your team in First above the other two. Fairly easy if just a MTDM!! But the Chaos would be unimaginable for a MCTF match! If only three teams, the level of Team work needed for getting a flag from one of the other teams to your base? If another team loses flag to the third team, you want them to get it to their base? Or you wanna kill him, and take it to your base? CHAOS!! That's just at 3 teams! 

 

The MADHOUSE chaos only gets worse with upto 6 teams on one map! 

 

Granted.. SOME new maps would have to be developed to compliment this idea! A challenge I'm sure the Mapping community would love to tackle! Afterall... they probably running fresh out of ideas for maps to allow for two teams. Lets open up the flood gate of ideas for maps allowing upto 6 teams!! 

 

Let the MADHOUSE begin!?!?

                  Why not have a Boys vs girls mode? Due to sexist remarks because a girl might dominate a boy and a boy might dominate a girl, we would need that mode to be under thorough examination. But otherwise it would inspire more inactive players to battle more and rank faster and want to be more competitve.

Conquest mode:

 

Setup: There are 3 capture points and 1 neutral flag that is isolated until a specific objective is reached and 1 flag for each team. 

 

An example of a match (in straight forward style): 

 

Red team and Blue team capture and defend points until they reach 300 capture points

Blue team reaches 300 Capture points completing the first objective

Blue team must now bring the Blue flag to a Neutral flag in the center of the map

Red team must prevent the Blue Flag from Reaching the Neutral flag for 5 minutes

A red player kills the Blue player holding the flag with automatically returns it to its normal position (No flag return required) and Blue players receive a message that says: Flag Returned.

The player that killed the enemy with the flag gets a +100 Exp reward for Defending

 

(No Drugs are allowed so the defense timer for Red team is not undermined by a Blue team drugger)

(No gold boxes either because if there was a gold box dropping everybody would completely forget to defend the flag and Blue Team would just sneak past the Red Team, rip)

 

3 different possible endings:

 

If the 5 minute defense timer times out then the battle ends and the result is a victory for Red Team

If the Blue Flag reaches the Neutral flag then the battle ends and the result is a victory for Blue Team

If Neither team reaches 300 Capture points before the 60 minute battle timer expires the result is a draw

 

(The battle timer is 60 minutes until 300 capture points is reached then adjusts itself to 5 minutes for defense)

 

 

Rewards:

 

The losing team gets a crystal reward of:

10 crystals for each kill  (20 if owner of an active premium account)

250 crystals for each kill of an enemy holding the flag (for defending team only) (500 crystals if owner of an active premium account)

100 crystals for each capture point (if any) that the player captured (No premium bonus for this)

50 crystals for each kill while possessing the team flag (for offensive players only) 

 

The winning team gets a crystal reward of:

a 2000 crystal winning bonus (3000 if owner of an active premium account)

10 crystals for each kill (20 if owner of an active premium account)

100 crystals for each capture point (if any) that the player captured (No premium bonus for this)

a 1000 crystal bonus to the player that brought their flag to the Neutral cap (Offensive players only) (1500 crystal bonus if player is the owner of an active premium account)

250 crystals for each kill of an enemy holding the flag (for defending team only) (500 crystals if owner of an active premium account)

a 1000 crystal bonus to the player with the most Defending Kills (for defending team only) (If there is a tie in Defending Kills those players still all receive 1000 crystals) (1500 crystals if player is an owner of an active premium account) 

 

Teams that ended the game in a draw get the crystal reward of:

an automatic 500 crystal prize (750 if owner of an active premium account)

10 crystals times the number of capture points your team ended with (20 if owner of an active premium account)

100 crystals for each capture point (if any) that the player captured (No premium bonus for this)

 

 

Game mode access requirements:

 

1. Pro Battle Pass

2. Rank of Warrant Officer one or higher

3. No previous bans for Hacking, use of 3rd party software, or Use of System bugs for advantages (that way all players don't have to worry about players cheating the game mode to receive extra crystal and experience bonuses while unbalancing the battle) 

4. A 1000 crystal battle entrance fee (That way players can't just join these battles over and over and make unlimited profit, that would basically cheat the game currency system)

 

 

Layout:

 

Maps should be very large (that way if the game does change to Defense/Capture the capturing team cannot almost instantly get their flag to the Neutral Flag).(A map may need to be made specifically to meet all the layout requirements).

 

Spawn points should be placed symmetrically across the map with their Team Flags Behind them. The three capture points should be placed in areas equally distanced from Spawns. The Neutral flag will be in the exact center of the map blocked by an untraversable wall until the 300 capture points are reached by a team.

A battle needs auto-balance teams (There will be much rage if a game they bought Pro Battle pass for and payed a 1000 crystal fee to enter was unbalanced in the enemy team's favor)

 

(Probably a good idea to limit the amount of Isidas allowed on a single team that way there is not an entire enemy team of Isida impossible to kill because of never ending self-healing and healing team (Forum will get much nasty messages if Isidas take over the universe)

If somebody knows you are a female or male it's because you told them so. Therefore they bring it upon themselves then fight about it.

:) Hello Tanki, so I really love using shaft and I am not very good at Xp/Bp, so then I was thinking, well, wouldn't it be kind of funny if there were like twenty shafts facing of against each other :lol: !  So then that gave me the idea about making a SN format battle, in which all players would have to use shaft/viking combo!  I think would be fun for players, because all these shafts in sniping mode would have to destroy each other, but after the destroyed tank respawned, it would know where that shaft was hiding so everyone would have to be constantly moving around.  You are probably thinking this would be a boring battle, but I myself think of myself as a more mobile shaft, so it requires more skill and sneaking around :ph34r: .  This is the purpose I choose viking as the hull instead of something like mammoth, where it would be boring.  You could also use M1, M2, or M3 shaft and vikings, so lower ranks like me wouldn't be left out.  I hope you like this idea, Tanki, because I am proud of this brain child :D .

I like some of the idea but there's a lot of problems with the idea which i don't feel like going threw them.I suggest you rethink the idea and post a similar one.

Parkour mode+regular battle=NoLimits mode
 
Hello! I would love to do my rankup in some ridicilous places in tanki... But then i remember. I die whenever i get there.
Today i was in a rankup and dude wanted to become generalissimo in silence mode (Behind upper base) but the problem was.. He dies when going there. If he makes parkour battle, he cant get XP to rank.
 
Ofc this idea is not only about rankups but overall gameplay. It would be fun to camp from House roofs like it happened before Anti-Cheat ruined the game. It could be possible for magnum users to jump and shoot downwards without killing them (In space mode)

For normal battles, the anti cheat mechanism seems to be a bit harsh.. but it's needed in the game as long there is no other decent and proven way to spot cheaters. Without it, we would face much more serious troubles.

On the other hand parkourists are happy that no one can gather experience in their battles (easy targets). They already complain about the fact that kills made in parkour count to the k/d ratio.. and so their battles are sometimes bombed.

 

So.. as far as I understood the feature request, it's only usefull for rankups, and for "on top of a house" campers (that spent a lot of time to get somewhere, where they will be sniped off within seconds = not much of a gain for their team). Does not sound like a good deal to me..

PRO+ Battles

 

I have been playing Tanki for 3 years now. I have found that the most enjoyable games are when players and teams have similarly ranked hulls and turrets.  M0 vs M2 is no fun for either player.  I cannot stand it when I use skill to land four hits on an opponent and they kill me with two hits because they have better equipment or more supplies.  Please give me an opportunity to participate in a battle where the only determining factor in the victory is the skill of the players.

 

I suggest a PRO+ battle format in which players bring their skills only and leave their personal tank at the door.  In PRO+, each team has a garage with the exact same equipment.  As players enter the game they must select a tank from the team garage.  Supplies and protections would be disabled (though dropped supplies could be a map option).  Game modes would remain the same: DM, TDM, CTF, CP.   The person creating the map would select the garage configuration from a list of options.  One configuration could be all XP, another could be a balanced team with a few XP, some heavy shafts, some med isidas, etc.   We could even have an all wasp/firebird.  Maps would not be limited by rank. Anyone of any rank could join.  

 

I realize that Tanki creators want players to be incentivized to spend $/cry in their tanks - that's how they stay in business!  So, to compensate, entering a PRO+ battle might have an entry fee (or a monthly pass option), which I would gladly pay for the opportunity to test my skills.  (I would enable a refund of the entry fee if a minimum number of people dont join within 2 minutes.  This would make people less hesitant to jump in.

For a game mode there should be a server called MG ( Mini Game ) With custom battles like Minehunt, Save the gold , race for gold, shooting range, Tanki race ( with custom race map ), Combat Area, LTS ( last Tanker Standing ),  and more !

I've always had the idea of a Game Mode which consists of 3 teams, maybe there could be an option to play against more than 1 team in the current Game Modes (CTF, CP, TDM). Of course the teams will need to be much smaller then or maps may need to have more spaces in them available.

I don't think devs would consider implementing this at all. Why would they just create battles giving extra crystals away so easily? This should only be like an event held a few times a week, which it already is. Both the English and German community hold such events about 3-4 times a week.

A server called MG 1, MG 4.... on it there is a special button which says 'CREATE MINI GAME' when you press it you get a side tab like when you create a normal battle but this time, you pick a map and weather etc and then you have the original DM,CP,CTF,TDM and below that where u pick , parkour, XP/BP it sais Save The Gold, Race For Gold , Last Man Standing And much much more!!!!!

Actually all those mini-game modes have to be created by the dev's to be available for the players.. and as there is no difference in code, if the gamemode is "mini" or not, I merged your topic to here :)

 

Because first you need to have the gamemodes.. then you can think of moving them into a special server ;)
