^Ok, just think about what'll happen if they are gone.

You will see so many players trashing the forum, making flood posts, trolling, posting inappropriate content, the list goes on and on and on.....

That what you think will happen, but the novelty will wear off quickly, there are many forums running perfectly without mods. e.g fencing forum. Also as you can see with the comment in the link you can get the reverse happening to.

Can I even try and explain to you how many posts that fit the description of my post above have been blocked by the Moderators?

This forum is WAY different. The "Fencing" forum is not the "Tanki" forum.

I highly doubt the novelty would wear off quickly.

Ever taken a look at Wikipedia? The anti-vandal bot there has to revert vandalism every few seconds. If the novelty would indeed wear off quickly, Wikipedia wouldn't have much of a problem with vandalism.

We can certainly make a mistake. And if a player feel there's been a mistake about his/her ban, he/she is more than welcome to inform an admin - if it's regarding chat, then chat admins, if it's about forum - forum admin etc. The same applies about the behaviour or misconduct of a moderator, admins will review your case and the proof you have. Simply saying "mods do not do their job correctly" or "mods are protecting mults" cannot be accepted as valid without any proof.

If you want to report the player, you can do so in Violators' section: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=76
The rules regarding that section and what kind of a proof is needed in order for a report to be accepted are posted here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=188892. Please note that there is a difference between Chat Violations and Game Violations.

I hope this answered your questions so far.  And remember - mods are doing their job to the best of their abilities.

I think it's a good thing that moderators names are not given while banning or analyzing complaints. The problem with that is that players can easily go after this moderator and insult or try to do any harm to them. The admins are there to take any complaints towards moderators, and they then will punish the moderator in the right way, obviously without telling anyone who is that moderator. Then, if you think you're banned unfairly you can always contact one of the chat administrators or @Shar0n to request an unban. They then will decide if that ban was unfair or not.

Hmm, I'm not actually sure I agree... For example, in many countries, police officers are obliged to offer their names, 'badge numbers' or some other form of identification. This serves a couple of purposes - to prove they're authorised to do their job (which obviously isn't necessary here as only moderators can use such chat commands), but also to allow members of the public to complain about the actions of specific police officers. Obviously, there are risks associated in introducing a system of more individual responsibility rather than keeping things collective - but when implemented, such systems have actually proven quite effective in helping to remedy human errors of judgement and in avoiding repeats in the future.

And I think we can agree there are no systemic problems or failures in terms of how the moderators do their jobs, so any mistakes made are likely to be largely the fault of those specific moderators who made them. However, this shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. Personal criticism - if made in the right manner (to admins in private), and in an appropriate, justified and respectful way - should be encouraged rather than discouraged, as a mechanism to allow moderators to be scrutinised under the public eye in a private and constructive way. If you guys are really scared about any 'repercussions' such as personal hate, well that's why the rules are in place; to punish those who try to target people (including moderators) in an unfair way. You, of all people, should be most familiar with that.

Basically, I would personally advocate a somewhat more liberal and open approach in this situation. I'm not saying I support what the OP and others have claimed here - because I don't - but equally, I do think that making the moderation system more personal to players might help in reaching more satisfying conclusions to any issues brought forward by players. is completely right in pointing out that the moderators are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities - and I think a culture of open-ness, self evaluation, and the appreciation and encouragement of criticism would help to further enhance Tanki's moderation as a whole and lead to a more player-oriented system. This would surely lead to benefits for all involved.

Don't take that example out of context. It's completely irrelevant, and is an incorrect portrayal of the current situation.

Of course moderators are human and so can be corrupted - every human is susceptible to corruption - but we should be proud to be part of a community where corruption isn't a problem for our moderators. They are people of moral integrity, and we are fortunate to be able to trust them to contribute so much time and effort through their work.

ohh mults are rampant in the game .. i have many videos of them that the only way to stop them now is to spend half of your time recording

And uploading vids for reporting  .. here is an example from 23/02/2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSYNccgmapQ

mods will tell you to report this to game violations section but we simply won't have fun in this game if we do this every time we encounter

A mult which is alot.  we have a solution and that is the vote offender but they rarely come.

Wait a minute!!!!!!

Island has palm trees...I Knew it!!!!!!

Welcom Back :o

I'm not back - just throwing a few posts from the shadows once in a while, generally concerning more interesting topics. I haven't played the game itself since December, when I left ^_^

Mods can't cover every battle you play in. If you don't like the mults, report them, if you can't be bothered then let them mult their way through Tanki. If you have a complaint about a moderator, PM the administrator of the group with evidence.

Mults are in almost every battle .. why should i bother with recording a video then cutting the video toward the required time limit then upload the video on youtube then write a post on tanki violater section and after all that the mult get's is a slap on the rest. !!!!!!! mults need to get a more severe punishment then we will find that the time we spent to report them was worth it and we are actually helping in fighting them.
