Play a PRO battle. No drugs allowed.

pro battles can have unlimited drugs, and the pass is tooooo expensive (in my rank that is,) . people dont create much PRO battles these days.

The thing is, PRO pass isn't even expensive. The druggers already pay for their drugs, so you should pay for your pass. If everyone would do so, at least from... I'll say Major, there would be SO many more PRO battles. I mean, 5k is nothing compared to the money that buyers spend in drugs. Don't get me wrong. And what you say is true, I wouldn't win half of my battles if it weren't because of drugs and friends >_<

in low ranks, 9500 crystals (about that much) is a LOT. plus guys who create PRO battles usually make it UNLIMITED SUPPLIES. so whats the use?

Three drugging isidas - all top spots on blue despite joining about 15 minutes into a 60 minute battle. Impossible situation.

Despite more kills I received 1/3 the reward.

Totally wrong.

Wow, started another round and it's non-stop 1-2-3-4:

This is another of those 'special situations' ... an isida team that travels as a group and take turns healing each other and killing?  That's a hard one to defeat but I wouldn't call it a cheat ... it's just more of a different kind of raiders.

What is ruining game play are the excessive use of DD, it is made even worse when one team starts to dominate and those with DD in there stocks and lacking an moral compass start spawn camping with DD DA on thus ruining the whole game for the opposition that then have to survive being spawned kill the campers and then try and get back ground to stop the spawn camping.

You just get derided as a noob if you indicate any reference to sportsmanship and fair play because these people are idiots only targeting the score and the bigger slice of the pot to make them even more overpowered.

For instance,

Rio TDM today opposition camping the roof, beach and ridge, most had DD DA on hitting anyone spawning say anything they just responded LOL noob,

Today must be international drugger's day. In all my time of playing Tanki I have never seen it as bad as it is today. Every map, every round I have played or attempted to play is 100% dominated by druggers.

I give up.

Yes, but the problem is you are doing this on the expense of other players' game, funds and fun. Do you think that's ok?

Yes, I do think that's okay.  When other players buy a tsunami of supplies with real money it is annoying, but I bite my tongue and fight on.  The only options are leaving the battle and finding another one or quitting Tanki completely and finding another game.  But if other players are not using the supplies they get in the normal course of playing the game and I am walloping them because I do use mine, that is not unfair, just silly on their part.

Many players seem to use their won supplies as quickly as they get them, but I save up until I can confidently play several battles knowing that when I hit 12345, I will get the drug rush.

Smoky1Macedonia lives in a country near my coutry so I sent him a friend request, he always drugs when we play together and we always win...

He just continues drugging if I ask him to stop, just like all druggers

I play with him or against him quite often - he wasn't doing it as bad as the other ones and he's usually on his own or supporting the team. The other two were like a pair that were inseparable.

Well, it's a disagreement.

I don't support the argument that says "just because others misuse supplies I will too and that's ok".

You have the right, it's not against rules, but I still don't accept it for a just one.

...it would be nice if I could sell drugs for crystals...

That would be nice (More crystals= :D) ; of course, as you, Raptor, most likely know, such a cheap alternative to obtaining crystals is a dangerous threat to Tanki's revenue.  :(  Moreover, aside from appealing to any one-man armies (or self-interested conquerors of battles), I am certain Tanki wants to make the road to Generallissimo tedious to the point that more people will give in to drug addiction (the in-game one, of course) in order to

smooth the journey by some degree (the journey is still tedious, nonetheless).

Guys, is the EN3 multi-weapon drug-free battle still in effect?

Usually, players only create pro-battles for parkour, and sometimes for drug wars…

Yes EN3 is still our choice for Pro Mode Non-drug battles.  See opening post.

and good on anyone who sets them up.

However, there are now so few of us with Pro Mode passes it's unlikely to find any ready made battles.

Always check RU1 for Pro Mode drug free battles - but they're mostly small maps.

I do get some low drug use battles on DE1

It's a welcome development that you may find 'voluntary' drug free battles on any EN server.

See the in battle comments e.g. "racer22_online don't use garage drugs"

I'm about to recommend we 'voluntarily' use EN9 for Standard Mode drug free battles. So we all check EN9 first.

(Air drops are allowed, 3 mines per 15 minutes and 1 health box at Gold Box time).

I have no problem with 'low drug' use - but for voluntary no drug use battles - that means zero garage drug use - so it's easier to monitor everyone.

Obviously it's hard to tell if it's an air drop or a garage drug, you have to 'see' the light go on, to confirm garage drug use!

I think with the addition of the Daily Missions now it becomes more plausible to "afford" the Pro Pass and Score Multiplier Pass. Often times I get two missions that pay out enough crystals that I could get one without worrying about it.

So if you guys are using EN3 for this I hopefully will join that soon. :)

Two terms:
By Drugs I mean 'Garage Drugs'.
By Drugger, I mean, someone who spends more in drugs than they earn in battle fund.
(Pro Mode games with only Air Drops are usually fine, but I miss a few Mines and Health Packs at Gold Box time.)

Of course even 'non-buyers' can still be druggers - made worse by the large numbers now given in daily missions.
and made worse because many players keen on completing missions will turn to drugs for an unfair advantage (at the expense of the other players.)

I too was very disappoint in the questions asked on the future of the Unity game 'poll'. (Funny how they asked for 'Honest' feedback - implies we would be 'dishonest' for some reason!)
It's very encouraging when Tanki say they're keen to hear the opinions of the players and that we have a big influence on the game play.
However, the choice of question and choice of answers leaves a lot to be desired (this is what I mean by 'burying their head in the sand' - they act like they do not want to hear the 'uncomfortable truth'.
Tanki management have chosen to IGNORE a large group of users - by their actions they show they prefer to support the ones that pay money for drug kits and encourage the rest to use drugs and 'dam' the ones that are unhappy with 'over drug' use.
If Tanki Management were 'man enough', I would like them to admit as much - then they should take a look at other development teams who are have no problem supporting 'sports' players.

Please note, there is now a new MMO game with two legged 'tanks' that has appeared on mobile devices - these developers have shown that the lag problem can be almost eliminated - Tanki needs to pay attention to the competition.
I personally feel that Tanki still has the edge - especially in the quality of the tank 'movements'. I would much prefer Tanki to get their act together and start talking to the sportsmen in order to keep us happy. We're not really asking for very much - we all want Tanki to be bigger and better.

If Tanki Management were 'man enough' - they could ask us to help design the questions and answers:
In the face of almost half the players leaving Tanki (most likely because of the imbalance caused by drug abusers) why have no questions been asked about the balance of the game?
Why is it that one side in most battles are allowed to gain an advantage (imbalance) by using far more 'performance enhancers' than the other?
This is the reality of most battles in Tanki and the effect of this imbalance gets worse the higher your rank.

If we ALL had full time garage drugs then the balance of each tank would have to be adjusted to lower the power of the bigger tanks, this is because the smaller tanks are 'relatively' more vulnerable to DD.

We know that the M3 Viking has become very popular for druggers, this tank used with unlimited DD, DA and health packs is worth two players not using drugs.
If all the battles had 12 V 10 - then it would be blindingly obvious this was unfair.
If Tanki could only see that 2 druggers on one side of a 10 V 10 match is the same as 12 v 10 - it should be clear where the imbalance comes from.

Having said that my own tank is getting OP caused by the crystals gained from daily missions!
Why is this bad?
My tank is barely adequate in the face of druggers, but against a non-drugger it is OP (this makes for poor sport).
I don't want to win too easily and I don't want to lose by too much!

Solution - I now have to take on higher ranks in order to get a good fight - but if the M3's I now face with my M2 equipment start to drug full time - then I have to quit the battle = bad for everyone.

Solution make Pro Mode more popular - I see nothing in the Poll about Pro Mode!

When it came to questions about spending Money in Tanki, this is what they asked:
Why haven't you bought any crystals yet?
1. I didn't know I could buy them
2. I don't have a payment method I can use
3. I can't afford them
4. I earn enough crystals in the game
5. I don't want to spend real money in the game

I was 'forced' to be 'dishonest' with my answer! I had to chose 5 as my 'least worst' answer.
What they should have provided was a catch-all Option 6: "None of the above" and a text box to say why.
or 6 - I'm happy to buy crystals but only if I can buy none 'performance enhancing' items.
The reason being that I don't want to buy 'performance enhancing' items - I consider doing so to be unfair and un-gentlemanly (dishonourable).

The poll needs to make it clear to Tanki - all players need to be able to 'vote' with our 'mouse'.
I.e. it's best if we can create the type of battle we like best.
After all WE know better than Tanki what we like, and this may change from day to day to suit our mood!
Some days I might like to be a sportsmen and some days I might like to compete with druggers - at present we're all forced onto the same map with disastrous consequences to the balance.

This is why we all need to use Pro Mode and Tanki need to listen to the forum so the Pro Mode options can be adjusted to suit our wishes.
First - Pro Mode needs to be made more popular - why aren't Tanki listening?

I note in the forth-coming players stats - Tanki do seem to be promising to show how many garage drugs a players has been using.
This is essential to judging the quality of the players v score achieved.
I.e. those with the least drug use and highest score will be the gods :0)

Newish idea no1:
I do note that some players are recommending that some battles are non-drug battles and provide all players 'listen' and 'obey' then this works.
I.e. please remind each player as they join - this is a non-drugs battle - if they want to use drugs they should go elsewhere.
I.e. this is a voluntary code.
I have seen this working well, and would very much like it to catch on.
My rule is max 3 mines per 15 minutes and a health pack at gold box time is fine.

Newish idea no2:
We can voluntarily use EN9 as a non drugs server.
I.e. Tanki CANNOT set a server to be non-drugs - but we can!
I choose EN9 because it is the highest EN server, if Tanki reduce the number of servers then we move to the new highest each time.
I.e. every day start a new battle on EN9 and tell all users it is a non-drugs server.
If users do not turn up - then look for non drug battles on your own server and or create new battles.

and another idea to use in Unity - see base:
I have managed to play 1.2 games on the same side as Creepers :0)
The first we were up against a Viking Izzy on full time DA. Every time he saw me he just 'charged' my Wasp and ran over both my mine and me! My K/D ratio against him was 8 to 2 in his favour.
I even discovered that mines take about 1 second to 'arm' - because his Viking could go over them and I could see the mine explode behind him as I died!
One of my kills on him, I had to be backed up by an Izzy - I think is was Creeepers. I.e. it took 2 of us to kill him.
The other battle yesterday - I was surprised to see Creepers even in it - it was 0-9 against us - it was obvious a set of 3 druggers was causing the imbalance.
Shortly after Creepers left, a drugger joined our side and the score finished 5-10, this meant the second half of the battle was good fun knocking out the original set of druggers! (Not ideal, but a kind of rough justice).

As usual the druggers will say it's 'acceptable' to drug as much as they do - but they had had no answer when I pointed out the imbalance is caused by the fact that not all tankers can afford to drug full time.

Newish idea 3:
If both sides could be limited to a set amount of garage drugs per 15 minutes - this would be fair. Let's put a number on it say 3 per tank per 15 minutes = 30 for a 10 tank side.
If this total was a 'team total' with on screen count remaining - this would introduce a new dynamic:
How to best use these drugs? Disciplined 'teams' will gain an advantage (however, a mult could ruin it - hence, 'kick2' will be needed.)
Either way this limit prevents over drug use by either side.
(I would still reserve 3 mines for me and a health pack at gold box time :0)

I too friend'd Smoky1Macedonia about 6 weeks ago, and we've had many good battles against druggers.
(Sometime you need a few 'minor druggers' to defeat the major druggers - especially because I normally choose to join ('slightly') losing teams (I get better battles this way).

Smoky as far as I know is NOT a buyer - he just users what he's given.

I suspect many Free to Play players 'remaining' in the game are just the same - they manage their drug use to suit what they've collected - not really rocket science.

Daily missions are making this easier for this kind of player, the downside is the number of battles the sportsmen like best (close tooth and nail roughly balanced fights) will be harder to find until Tanki does something to help us. This is not Smoky's fault - it's Tanki's fault.

I'm pretty sure if the rate of garage drugs 'allowed' was reduced Smoky would not complain, like many players he makes the most of what he's given, it's the game parameter settings that need to control the balance.
However, I would not invite him to a voluntary non-drugs game.

I agree that being a 'Sportsmen player' does not always mean being a non-drugger - more a case of using drugs when it's 'appropriate'.
E.g. when competing with a (confirmed) drugger who is taking the flag or while holding the flag - you may have no choice if you want to compete.

However, if your team is leading then no harm in letting the losing side have some advantage - so I don't drug - however, I do recognise that it's easier to pick up air drops while on the winning side which does make me OP. Sometimes I just sit and wait for the losing side to catch up a bit.

In a voluntary non drug game - it's best if everyone does not use them - then it's easier to monitor behaviour (air drops are still okay, a few mines and a health pack at GB time).

Once in a while when I'm competing to get the top spot on the winning side - I use no garage drugs - however, I wait for no-one - I do apologise for being aggressive and savage at the same time.

I find the more I play DM the more 'killer' I get!

and if anyone thinks I don't move my turret enough - first look at my score and second realise that an M2.5 Rico on an M2.5 Wasp is highly unstable. My job is to pump as many plasma balls into the enemy as quickly as I can - it has taken me 6 months to learn to optimise my scoring with this combo - looking 'pretty' is not my goal and my methods are brutal! I wish I had video of some of them - 'outrageously shocking' fits well and certainly entertaining for me (I'm not entirely sure how most of my victims feel?)

My definition of drugger: someone who uses supplies throughout a battle even when their team has a significant lead and said person has to use them because either their skills are lacking, or, they simply do it to be a bully.

I use supplies as a necessity to defend a flag or attack a flag carrier - I never use them to spawn camp or to intentionally run up the score or slaughter enemy tanks for the sake of doing it.

I had a discussion with one of my friends the other day when he was on the opposing team - we had agreed to never use drugs in the match because of lack of players on both teams (I think it was 2 vs 2). So he saw me with DA, DD, and SB and thought I was drugging.

I told him "Think about Rio - with only 4 people playing there are plenty of drops - so why I would I use my own supplies? Besides, if I am activating a supply it's probably going to be DD due to my use of an upgraded Firebird M2."

I saw people today using repair kits in Polygon CP - of all the maps to waste a repair kit! Using DA, SB, or a repair kit in Polygon is useless - the only one you should use there is DD - and if you see people using others it means they are so addicted to drugging they don't see the logic behind wasting supplies there.

A true drugger drugs even when they are winning. That's how you can tell the difference between the addict and the person who uses them sparingly.

Also when I refer to someone not moving their turret it means never once does it turn at all.

Obviously some combinations can be unstable - I tend to flip myself quite a bit with Thunder/Rail on Hornet if I am turned to the side trying to shoot and duck.

It's one reason why I like Firebird because it has the most effective turning speed for use with mouse controls - almost turns perfectly when using the mouse - when I use Rico on Hornet with mouse controls I feel like I'm trying to turn a big wet noodle. :D

Man, seriously, you 've got to reduce the volume of your comments in order for other players to read what you write.. Plus, maybe change the fonts to something more regular.  I 'm telling you this in a very friendly manner :)

I would like to say something to players that think that the more one uses a power on, the best it is for the game (that is, the personal and total score and relative funds)

You can see below a 60 minutes CTF battle where one team is whole and the other half. That wasn't the case until perhaps 20 minutes before the end. In those last 20 minutes the winning team captured more than half of total flags captured.

rgdYTbm.jpg

I also have to tell you that until the end, the losing team had three players fighting with all their strength, defending their flag, and even making a couple of tries to get our flag.

(I wish they succeeded, they were most worthy of this)

One last piece of evidence, is that no team had really inactive players, both had some very effective, and the rest less effective players, while everybody - including me - were using supplies regularly (this battle was an exception for me in this matter), but most of the time only one or two supplies, not all three.

So, what made the difference? It was that we had two really supportive and skilled isidas that made sure that the flag would go all the way no matter who the carrier was (team-players).

That gave us an initial difference in flags captured, and battle was more than satisfying. But when the gap between the teams started to widen, then it slowly changed into a beating and our team was the only one capturing flags.

The rest is easy to imagine. Opponents made really admirable efforts but our team had already invaded their base and they couldn't even find a place to hide and re-estimate what to do. Then they started leaving and that's it. One-sided battle, with us continuing to beat them and capture flags, in an internal competition for top places in score.

I tell you, I feel no joy for being top scorer and getting most of the funds. If I could give away half of what I earned to the opponents, I would gladly do it.

But it's not what I wanted to tell you.

What I wanted to tell you is that, if we were a bit less effective - or if we stopped using supplies when we were far ahead in score, or even if we stopped spawn killing in the end - no opponent would leave and total score (kills) would be really higher. One-sided battles that end in losing-team-abandoning-the-battle lose a significant part of funds. It's really to no one's best interest that one team is so much stronger than the other.

Is that the players' fault? Not really. It's Tanki's unbalanced game mechanics that leads to such results. But players can influence this, by simply quit spawn killing. If no team practiced spawn killing, then battles would be more joyfull and fund generating.

EDIT: Strange, now that I remember, during the whole battle of 10.000 crystals, Gold box fell only once...

It's why I normally play XP/BP battles with supplies turned off. Utterly fair, the only way to win is by your skills.

Friend, we have talked about this. It cannot be done by many, due to high Pro pass cost (for lower ranks). If Pro battles were more popular, non-drugging battles would be more and many of us would join them.
