Way to throw me under the bus.

 

First off, I can defend my purchasing of 6 M1's, but I doubt you'd care. If you do care, the spoiler's below.

 

 

 

I've always wanted this account to be Firebird/Wasp, and as you can see, I get a LOT of play-time with them. Yeah, it's a super fun kit, but it lacks versatility. It's basically a short-range glass cannon, and very risky to play as, but I enjoy the thrill. So obviously I'd buy both M1's of that, not to mention they're also super cheap.

 

As for Hornet... I actually bought it before the update that allowed you to buy the modification of your rank. I needed an M2 hull, and to get to M2 Hornet (the cheapest and most available), I had to buy M1 Hornet. I honestly ended up not having to, but you can't say I'm stupid for it since I didn't know the update would come out.

 

However, I do end up using it in battle, since I paired it with Railgun and now play XP (since BP is kinda sucky IMO). You don't stand a chance in XP with M0 anything, so I had to get Railgun M1.

 

And as for Isida/Viking, that's just for when my team needs a healer and I'm the only available one. It's called being helpful...

No, the REAL noobs are the people who drug constantly to win, and flip out if an enemy uses drugs. I ran into a couple of them last night, and they were insufferable.

xSniper2 is amazing at the game, and would do just as good or better than you without them. His drug use simply compliments his skill.

Secondly, if anyone cares, no, I didn't have a good night. Mostly because I ran into Tharindu_Nirmal, an M2 Thunder/M1 Hunter player who apparently really, really likes drugging. And using drugs to steal gold boxes.  <_<

 

Yeah, I know gold boxes are kind of fair game, and everyone drugs to get them (heck, I even need to use a nitro or DA to stay alive), but using a DD to blow away someone who was going to get the gold, even after the "no kill" rule had been established, is just cheap. I could've used a repair kit after the first shot, but I didn't because I wanted everyone to have a fair chance. And well, apparently giving everyone a fair chance gets you killed.

 

My point is this -- druggers, I don't care what you have to say. Drugs are overpowered, you know it, I know it, Tanki knows it, we all know it, so stop trying to say they aren't. If you use drugs, you may feel good for a little while, but you're simultaneously annoying the crap out of everyone you're drugging against. All I'm asking is for some consideration, and for you to stop acting like prepubescent jerks in chat...

I play on a Samsung Chromebook... which is about all I know about this computer. It kinda sucks for gaming, but it's all I have.

This is a joke right, two people agree on no kill in 20 person battle and u don't want someone to kill u. I purposefully kill people that say this in chat!

Want to say that I was pressed for time, and regretted having to leave that battle.  It was late, had one mission left, and it was a dumb one, collect TWO REPAIR KITS, JUST TWO, and I spent nearly an HOUR trying to do it, and everytime I was gonna get one I get shot, someone beats me to it, hell, even the battle ended on me once.  That looked like a decent battle too.  There was drugging but it was over the top.  I had played for nearly 2 hours and there were some that I simply could not abide by, and started doing something this past week, that I NEVER did before, leaving battles.  Now, if it gets so bad that the drugging runs other players off and I'm in a 3 vs.7 or 8, I quit, my precious K/D is not getting sacrificed for the likes of a bunch of mindless no skill druggers.

 

Anyways, yeah, maybe next time, and you are very welcome dear, and glad I could make the night end on a good note.  (Was there bad drugging later in that battle?)

On a brighter note...

 

I think I've found a half-decent counter to the craze of DARK combos out there. This works for energy pool-based weapons (Firebird, Freeze, Isida, and even Ricochet).

 

If you encounter someone who you think is going to drug -- maybe you've seen him drug, or maybe he has a ridiculously high score, or what not -- start firing, and only expend about half of your energy pool. Then, make like you're reloading -- take cover and sputter your flame or start shooting less frequently. Odds are they'll pop a repair kit and chase after you. After the repair kit goes away, you can come out of cover and toast them with the remaining half of your energy pool.

 

Also kudos if you have a DD pickup active during the exchange, because it'll help you kill them faster.

 

It doesn't work all the time, but it's certainly helping me a lot.

I thought the post I made a few pages back to her was perfectly clear. Apparently my approach was not accepted.

To be very honest, there a good amount of people in here TRYING to find a solution to the issue, but she's doing nothing but some seriously hard raging. No offense to her, just my point of view. I see just about everyone in here as a human being trying to make this game better for themselves and the rest of us. But HER? She's acting like a 2 year old in her "Terrible twos" stage. She needs to take a chill pill and a glass of water. She's not necessarily posing a benefit to this thread except by restating the obvious in a (from my perspective) overaggressive manner.

 

Even myself; I'm posting what I can that could be possible solutions...but most of the time now, I spectate this thread and only speak if it is needed. I don't come here everyday literally butthurt because the game is full of druggers and write a book about it. Everyone knows it by now.

You're absolutely right, I do get really, really angry really quickly, and I tend to vent frequently. I'm sorry but it's just how I am.

 

I don't know your position on drugs, but at least I'm upset over something reasonable to get upset over. Drugs are killing the game, and I hate that. I hate that Tanki is actively supporting druggers, and at the same time actively degrading non-druggers.

 

And yeah, I've heard the "everyone knows about druggers so telling people about them is dumb" argument. To that I say so what? Just because everyone knows that druggers suck doesn't make druggers suck any less. But the drugs themselves aren't the problem, it's the attitude of the people who use them... the "I'mma use drugs and I don't give a damn if it's unfair" attitude really stinks.

 

Now I'm not going to get angry, but I am a bit frustrated that you don't see my point of view. I guess that's my fault then, and I should shut up and be the good little cannon fodder that Tanki wants me to be...  <_<

Could I say that you 're both right? Would that made sense?

The fact is, we have two options. One, leave the game, Two, fight for changing. Change what? Dev's view? No. They are fixed and have eyes only for money.

So, maybe change people that play Tanki. I know, kids and all, difficult to understand, difficult to control the feelings, all these known.

But if, I say, if, enough players started to discriminate against drugging, then maybe social pressure would lessen drugging. Maybe.

[pay attention, I am not talking about druggers but about drugging. It's the phenomenon that has to stop, not the players themselves. So, going down at being personal, doesn't really help. And yet, I have done that many times due to lack of self control. Guilty and not proud of it]

 

So, if we could focus on the imbalance drugging causes, or the idea that everybody has to enjoy the game and not just those who can afford to drug, if we can show to people drugging that the ones that get humiliated are people like them, then maybe some of them change and use less supplies. And of course, swearing doesn't help in that, does it? :)

On that note, I would like to say that you ARE right.  While it didn't get too much testing or use during the beta, I'm going to go ahead and roll out my ProPass board where folks can post ProPass battles that have supplies turned off.

 

I'll be posting a new thread dedicated to it later, but for now, here it is for everyone to use.  Enjoy and I hope everyone here really do start to use it, and we can get back to playing, rather than be enraged constantly by all the stupidity and and egregious game play we have become subject to.

It's like donating, u don't have to but it is nice too. and others have no right to judge you if u do not donate.

My logic:

1.We all start of with the same tank, same rank etc.

 

2.We all have the ability to buy crystals, all accounts have the "BUY" button. Now if you're parents don't let you, or you don't want you, then you're smart. After all, it's just a game.

 

3. Because of 1 and 2, we all can purchase drugs.

 

4. We can choose wether to buy more tanks, like alphaninjagirl stated she chose more tanks for versatility. (Which is my preferred path). Or buy drugs and one combo and only 1 paint and purchase drugs (which would get me bored).

 

5. It's fair...

I agree, I quit this game some months back after hitting rank of fieldmarshal to the fact that you couldn't enter a game where drugs weren't being used excessively all the time. Also druggers tend to team up together and seem to be amused about the fact they have an unfair advantage when you point it out to them and then can easily win. I've come back a few times since I quit to play a game only to be reafirmed I don't find it fun anymore. So I joined another game called worldoftanks that is free too, but paying members gets some benifits like increased xp and the equivalent to crystals in increased amounts after each game, but when you play a game everyone is equal wether you are a free or paying member. I don't know why tankionline doesn't do something similar since you would think from a business point of view you would like to attract as many potential paying members as possible. Anyway I'm out for good, was fun while it lasted.

OK, so you want to tweak drugs. So, my challenge for you: capture 3 flags in hill without using only nitro and health ( no isida to heal you.)

I can do it, I have before..XP and Crystals should be awarded to those who earned it, in my opinion drugs are an easy way out, you can do anything with them in Tanki because of no limitation. Someone 4 ranks below you can do better than you and out-do you just because they can drug their way out like with a repair kit

I have over 115 thousand crystals because I am a saver not a spender. I understand I can buy one, but why waste MY crystals on that because other players don't know how to truly play Tanki? When they depend on a repair kit like crack cocaine?
