Underused Hulls(Heavy, Medium) - speed should resolve the matter

As I believe it has already been said, this would make heavy hulls far too over powered. Furthermore, I believe this would be counter intuitive. Gameplay would be less dynamic, as all the hulls would maintain a common attribute of being somewhat fast. I'd strongly suggest that this idea never be implemented.

regarding my proposal on the first page, I suggested to have them faster - but still slow acceleration.

Also turning speed keeps slow.

 

.> So you cant move fast and agile in close combat...

but you can pass large distances without falling asleep in the tank.

Of course it takes some tiiiiiime until your mammuth picks up full speed.

Also it takes longer to brake.

 

Therefor the additional hitpoints would have to be removed.

 

Which is difficult.. as guys have now spend crystals cause of the additional HP.

But there are already many threads out there, that say tanki would sometimes be better of to at least _ask_ the community before it does something.. although tanki will always keep the last decision.

Look, if you take add a little speed to medium hulls, light hulls are pointless, if you add armor to light hulls, medium hulls are pointless so they cancel out meaning everything is at a higher standdard, that's simple

It is not that simple.

There is a differnce in speed (straigt ahead) and turning speed (to turn you around).

 

At least the difference exists to guys, that are not "face to face shot the whole clip and see who survives"

I didn't notice any increase on the Heavy Hulls usage after the update.  :huh:

Hornets are still far more popular than any other hull, because no matter how strong the Heavy Tank's armor is, the Light Tank has the unique advantage to be fast enough to shoot & hide behind obstacles, which means it won't take any damage from the Heavy Tank.

On "clean" maps, maybe the Heavy Hulls have the advantage over Light ones, but such maps are rare and not very popular either.

In medium-to-large maps the difference is shown. More vikings and hunders than before. More people upgrade vikings and hunders than hornets and wasps.. Especially relatively new players. ... Oh, they'll learn that nothing lasts for ever.. :mellow:

 

So you're saying take away the recently updated armer of medium/heavy hulls, but put more speed? Interesting, but I like it the way it is.

Actually I'd say take back the hp, period. The whole idea of changing what's more popular is absurd, because it's based on a wrong assumption.

However, if they wanted to increase popularity of medium / heavy hulls all they had to do was create championships for medium / heavy format. So that contests would stimulate the players to try and perform better in these formats, creating thus more heavy hull fans. -_-

And your post is also right.. you get players on the hulls if the hulls give what the players need.

 

Or.. just skip it. On other maps there are far more midsized hulls then hornets. Always depnds on what suits..

At your rank, Heavy Hulls are usually M0, but most Tankers have M1 Hornet, so they use that.
