Ideas for Missions!

Here is my idea for daily missions, THE GOLDEN DAILY MISSION.

(I’m not sure if I have to create a new topic so I write it here)

 

What is it ?

 

Golden daily mission is a special daily mission that can rarely appear on the daily missions section instead of a normal mission. They are more specific than normal missions, but they give better rewards.

 

How it works ?

 

- They have 5 % chance to appear per day*

- You can have only 1 golden mission per day

- Golden missions are not obligatorily harder than normal missions but they are more specific (see missions section down below)

- It can replace any of the normal missions (easy, normal, hard)(left, middle, right)

- The day after you COMPLETE a golden mission can’t contain a golden mission (I’m not sure for this because there is already 5 % chance)

 

*Why 5% ? 5% = 1 golden mission each 20 normal mission AND you can complete a maximum of 7 x 3 = 21 missions per week so 5% means around 1 golden mission per week (I think it's balanced) 

 

The problem and his solution

 

There is a problem, low rank player will probably not be able to always complete golden daily missions because they probably don’t have all turrets/hulls/augments/paints/drones…

So, the solution is to make it ALWAYS free to change the golden mission (apart from normal missions), for example :

 

- If you change the golden mission first, you can change a normal mission after for free too (and after you need to spend crystals to change another time).

- If you change a normal mission first, you can change a golden mission for free too.

- If you change a golden mission, there is 100 % chance that it will be a normal mission.

 

How it look ?

 

- They look golden of course to easily see them and they have golden particules floating around I think it’s nice.

- When you first log into tanki each day, you have a gold orb on the mission section, so the idea is to replace the gold by a green orb (tanki classic color), AND if there is a golden mission, this orb is gold (like it is now). Hope I clearly explain this, it’s hard without a picture.

 

Missions

 

Here are some example of daily golden mission (numbers can change and they are written by difficulty) :

 

- Deal heat damage (not damage with firebird but heating damage) : 10000/25000/50000

- Freeze for : 30/60/100 second in total

- Stun for : 15/30/60 second in total

(And you can do this for each status effect of course)

- Finish battle with x : 2/4/6

- Win battle with x : 1/2/3

- Take one of the 3 first places with x : 1/2/3

- Capture flag with x : 1/2/3

- Capture ball with x : 1/2/3

(x = a specific hull/turret/augment/paint/drone/protection module…)

- Kill with y overdrive : 10/20/30

- Deal damage with y overdrive : 20000/40000/60000

(y = a specific hull)

 

And many more, if you want you can write your ideas after this topic.

 

Reward

 

And of course rewards ! (here is the part where I’m not sure so I will put 3 ideas and then tanki will decide).

 

- 5 containers + 100 stars (but I think it’s not enough)

- 3 containers + 10 tankoins + 20 batteries + 50 stars (I think it’s better)

- 3 ultra containers + 10000 crystals + 50 stars (better too but I don’t know if tanki will give ultra containers)

I would like to suggest you for a new domination for this year.

a war domination for a new paint and prizes 

But would you like to add the war.the winner 2018 paint? it's amazing as hell ? ?

Idea:

Mission: Battle with Paint

  • Easy- Play 1 regular Matchmaking Battle using a Paint that we already have in our Garage.
  • Medium- Play 3 regular Matchmaking Battles using a Paint that we already have in our Garage.
  • Hard- Play 5 regular Matchmaking Battles using a Paint that we already have in our Garage.

I was not aware that we could play a battle using a paint we do not even own...  /s

 

What kind of missions are those? It's basically play X number of battles.

Yeah, it's just a mission where we use a specific Paint. So it gets players to change equipment and looks as quick and easy Missions.

 

So this means that other ideas of Missions can be:

play 1 ..... 5 battles using a specific Turret.

play 1 ..... 5 battles using a specific Hull. 

etc.

I don't really see to point tbh. I'd hate to be forced to change to a random awful paint with soda cans on it just to complete a daily.

 

And about the Turrets and Hulls, what if I do own it, but at mk1 while the rest of my garage is mk7? 

 

At this point I would just make a mission that says: play X number of battles. with its variations: play x number of battles in ctf/rgb/jugg/asl ... etc.

     I didn't find a topic for the challenge

But anyways I think having a post challenge rewards would really give people a reason to play after reaching 3000 stars, So after every 200 stars for example you would get a container, or some other reward.

It also would justify playing daily missions after reaching the final reward due to the special missions.

True. It is just meant to be a random mission where we need to use a random Paint, Turret, Hull, etc. while in battle. It's only meant to be added to allow the player to change their more comforting gear into something different for a couple battles, but it does allow us to see other players with different combinations and Paints on the Map, instead of everyone just using Animated Paints.

I agree that it might be bad, but it's only for the Mission. After 1 - 5 battles or so, you can finish the mission and can change back into your preferred equipment. Plus, you can always upgrade your gear a little if you want to, to help with the gameplay and/or use Double Damage/Armor.

Yeah, this can be a nice idea too. I was just saying to do x number of Battles using a specific Turret, Hull, and Paint so that it just adds to the different variety of Missions we already have. But we could have your idea as well where we just play x number of Battles.

 

We can also have Missions where we play x number of battles using specific Protection Modules, Augments, Drones, etc.

At the momment when a daily mission gives you 1container and 50stars, it is hardly feasable to hurt your MM performance just to finish it. Not to say this will effectively sabotage your team, by playing with unupgraded equipment.

I could see missions like ´´use short range weapon´´ more suitable, as we have seen them in the special missions from time to time after all.

Let Monthly Missions be a thing where you can have missions  and a bit decent rewards so it can just be better 

For Example:

Destroy 500 tanks 

Rewards: Tankoins x50 Containers x10 and Stars x500

or

Score 20k points in matchmaking battles

Rewards: Tankoins x50 Containers x10 and Stars x500

every weekend we are getting the same special missions, please change the prizes of special missions because it's boring and worthless

you can put prizes like : paints container skins or XT skin, just make it fun and try to encourage players to grind MM more

but I encourage you to add premium instead of adding 6 containers (which are completely useless)

and don't forget to make a new paint and put it like you guys used to do in 2020 or something

**Also work with titan or hornet OD because missions count while your OD is activated.

We had those before. People called them "supermissions", and you had to get 99999 exp or 9999 kills, and the reward was an XT hull or turret. I don't think it's coming back, because those missions had multiple problems with them, for example there was always a risk that you'd accidentally click on "change" after you spent months on completing it.

What you're essentually suggesting is special missions, for which we already have a dedicated special missions tab.

The daily mission which appears on extreme right side or the 3rd mission is quite hard to do.

LIKE complete 5 battles which are equal to 75 minutes ..etc..

AND we have to complete them for same reward as other

Remake these missions or do something about the reward we get from them

Honestly, I don't think it look like "supermissions" (exept for the fact that they apear randomly), missions are much easier than supermissions (and special missions at the same time) to complete and give less rewards, they can easily be completed in a day (no a real problem if you accidentaly click on "change"). What is changing is the missions themselves, they are more specific to sometimes (around once a week), force players to change equipement (specific augment, turret, hull or drone...).

This is done to sometimes break the routine of daily missions.

 

P.S It's a nice coincidence that you talked about supermissions, because I was writing a rework of them and I will publish it soon. ?

I see your point, although the thing is that most daily missions aren't mutually exclusive, so you can often add progress to all three missions while playing one battle. So the way to look at it is that your reward for a little bit of effort is 1 container, for a bit more effort it's 2 containers, and for a lot of effort it's 3 containers. You're also getting stars, which contributes to challenge rewards.

You also get one free change per day, which you can use to change the more difficult missions. A good trick is to complete an easy mission (like use X supplies) in slot 1 or 2, and then  change the 3rd slot mission, so you have a chance to get an easy type mission again.

Worst case scenario, you can always just leave the last mission to finish on the next day.

That's why missions and golden missions are independant, you can change a mission + a golden mission the same day one time each for free, so players can choose.

So these are the missions in their current state:

-get 100 kills with melee range turret.

-get 100 kills with short range turret.

-get 100 kills with mid range turret.

-get 100 kills with long range turret.

-get 100 kills with light hull.

-get 100 kills with medium hull.

-get 100 kills with heavy hull.

 

I would like to change it to this:

-get 100 kills with melee range turret or kill 100 melee range turrets.

-get 100 kills with short range turret or kill 100 short range turrets.

-get 100 kills with mid range turret or kill 100 mid range turrets.

-get 100 kills with long range turret or kill 100 long range turrets.

-get 100 kills with light hull or kill 100 light hulls.

-get 100 kills with medium hull or kill 100 medium hulls.

-get 100 kills with heavy hull or kill 100 heavy hulls.

Why not just add these as a new type of mission?

It's pretty obvious that devs would like to keep the equipment-specific missions in their current state, as it forces players to try new equipment and spend crystals/tankoins/money to upgrade items they might otherwise ignore.
