Fire is not OP, it is fairly well balanced.

 

EDIT: M0 is really weak, takes nearly a full charge to kill a Hunter M0 :3

If M1 seems OP, it's only because you have an M0 hull. M1s will always shred M0s.

To be honest, the firebird is WAY too over powered. I mean, even with a mammoth im dead in three seconds. This includes the attacker's firebird being an M0 without double damage. Plus the afterburn affect. They REALLY need to halve the damage it does, shorten it's distance since it's a short range gun but fires quite a far distance! My last game the person had a wasp and an m1 firebird. NOBODY could kill him! I don't know the persons name, btu if you can run around effortlessly with a wasp just because of an over powered gun, it's a problem. The damage it deals at least needs to be halved in order to be fair to others, because I think it's a rather cheap way to win. I dont mean cheap as in the gun being cheap, I just mean the gun makes it a walk in the park to get kills! It's so stupid! HALVE THE DAMAGE!!!!

Could have been  a Russian player having fun with his new account. You were probably not watching the icons above him.

Lieutenants, only allowed M1, are competing in battles with generals, allowed M3. Some idiots warped idea of fair. To make matters worse are druggers. Every update provides more supplies that allows more druggers every day. The higher their rank the more they drug. Drugging M3 generals are the biggest problem and admin created them. Forget ever playing a fair game again.

While I've not read all 47 pages of comments, and since this seems the likely place to make my thoughts known. I'm a lowly ranked kind of guy struggling to rank up and get better equipment. I offer the following comments and thoughts for y'all to ponder.

First let me say, I really like this game, so much so I've stopped playing ALL others. That said, these are my comments and frustrations.

 

1) I wish there was a way to create a battle where only certain turrets are allowed to join. This would allow people to practice and learn from each other tactics for that weapon. I realize hull choice also affects game play/tactics but I'm  talking about gaining weapon proficiency <sp>.

 

2) The following turrets are all highly disliked by me. In no particular order. Firebird, Freeze, Ricochete, Twins, Hammer, Rail.  I'm of the opinion that the weapons should be representative of at least past or current battle tanks of the world war machine. 

Firebird & Freeze just deal waaaaay too much dammage.  Even the cover and run arguments are pointless since both turrets have an after effect on the targets. I will talk about paints below. So save it. plz

Rico & Twins not only too much damage but if you're using anything but a heavy hull they mess up your aim so you're unable to counter in time to survive unless you drug.

Hammer, another over powered turret. They just run around like mini shotguns. Two hits from it and my M1 wasp is toast. They deal too much damage even at a medium distance. When you try to back away while firing they still get way more damage on me than I think reasonable.

Rail, who thought of this turret? Product of your local space movie/game?  Why is it able to shoot THROUGH other tanks and kill you? It's totally overpowered. Longest reload time I think helps, It's still an unrealistic weapon.

 

Now, I realize the people that work so hard to provide us all this wonderful game and give us the ability to complain about anything and everything, they need to eat too. But there are some of us who cannot afford to contribute.

Therefore please consider making things more affordable for those of us who's only choice is to put the time in battles in order to get crystals to "buy" our upgrades.  M.U.'s are crazy priced, and so ain't the paints. Who but those that can afford to spend real money on their crystal bank can get multiple paints, M+ combos Even if you don't buy the M.U.'s and wait for the M1 - M3 + to unlock... they're unaffordable if you're buying them by time in game.  (Especially when you suck like I do) I'll be years in game before I can get even a fraction of the M2's I see in a lot of people's garages.  I think I do/have improved with hours spent in the game, but for me it's a difficult challenge ( I wouldn't want that to change either).

 

I'd like to see the ability for some mentorship from upper ranks to lower ranks.. IE .. hey u like the smokey / wasp combo? Do you need any help learning to use it to the best advantage?  Ability then to create private battles and work on getting better. I know I've not covered it all in this one post. Reckon I may post more later.

 

Sorry, I know this is long winded for a NOOB. If I'm forever considered a noob for my thoughts. So be it.

Drugging Thunder-M4 LtCols are a bigger problem - especially when they are going against a group of M1/M2 hulls. Ran into one of those a few days ago and the entire team decided to leave immediately once it was known.

Why do you think Tanki sells OP kits like Atlas. Firewall. Northerner . Minotaur. and other powerful m2 kits? Seriously Firewall is an Amazing kit and is on my long term plan all you need to do is get a few good kits and you should be able to take on m3s with no problem ;)

Your calling all generals druggers? First off, that is untrue. Also, I rarely play with lieutenant ranks; about a week ago I realized that I actually could still play with them. Either get m2s that can compete (fire and viking) or just play with lower ranks.

Welcome to the forum! Firstly, thank you for presenting yourself in a great and detailed manner.

After looking through your post and your profile, I'd like to make a suggestion:

1. Try MUing your M1 Smoky or some other weapon until M2. I know you spent a lot of crystals on it, but it's not very good later on until M2.

2. Buy the Storm paint, it REALLY helps with all the Firebirds.

3. Invest some money in things other than looks when buying paints. Protection is priority.

I have an alt where I used M1 Wasp M1 Smoky. It's not easy to use, that's for sure. You have to take advantage of its maneuverability and the versatility of smoky to make the most out of it. You also gotta have good accuracy, be able to shoot while on the move, master turning your turret, and drive without flipping over the best you can. If you want, we can do as you suggested and set up a time where we can be in a 1 v 1 battle or we can play a regular map on the same team. Wasp Smoky is not a noob-friendly combo, that's for sure. I'm in central time which is -6 UTC.

I think that Firebird is not as much powerful as you say it is, I think that the developers of Tankionline have increased its damage a bit as its range is too short. Even if you have an M3 Firebird, you would not be able to kill someone who has even an M1 Vulcan as Firebird's range is too short. I think that you should use some tacticts to defeat those players who have Firebirds. One good tactict is that equip your tank with a Twins (M1 or M2 will work great) and shoot at the Firebird, all the time making sure that you don't get inside the range of it, by backing up all the time it moves forward to damage you (hulls like Hornet will work great for this). This way you can eliminate that Firebird guy easily. Another way is that you should be equipped with a Vulcan, find a camping spot for your tank in the map, seek the Firebird player and shoot at him. This way you can eliminate him in seconds.

 

Therefore, if you ask me, then I'll say that it is good to keep the Firebird as it is.

I have said this sort of thing many times.  It is the way the game is set by default.

 

Try and look at the ranking of games and who might be in them before entering.  Set your own games and take care.

Welcome to the Forum, nice first post! You seem to be a Smoky driver (good choice ;) ) so I will reply accordingly.

Wasp/Smoky is definitely not easy, but both hull and turret can last a long time certainly with some micro-upgrades which are very effective because the M2 's are very late upgrades in Rank (thus very strong).

Also Wasp M1 outclasses Hornet M1 when used properly imo.

 

If you feel you get stuck, than don 't give up but start again with a new account (maybe in TankiX?)

That will give you an advantage against other newer players, so you have more time to hone your developing skills.

You also have the possibility to avoid those now worthless purchases.

Would be nice, I would love this with Smoky...

TO probably doesn 't do this, because you would see a huge raise in for example Wasp/Firebird battles where the kill ratio

would be out of the roof, and so would be the battlefund.

As a seperate training mode like Parkour mode, so you don 't gain XP or fund, it would be a nice addition.

No, it 's a part of what makes Tanki unique among other more realistic Tank games like WOT etc. I do also favour the realistic weapons though.

Still it 's all about keeping a safe distance from them. This never changes even when you are a Generalissimo.

Sometimes this is impossible like when respawning and as a Wasp/Smoky player you have to avoid small maps. 

With a light hull and Smoky: the larger the map, the better.

Close range turrets deal huge damage when they are able get close, but that 's also kinda fair because in other occassions when you are out of their reach they become your easy victims.

Rico & Twins not only too much damage but if you're using anything but a heavy hull they mess up your aim so you're unable to counter in time to survive unless you drug. True, there is no real remedy against it, except using speed to your advantage. Again try to create distance, Twins

hasn 't an impressive reach and Rico 's have a tougher job hitting you, because they have the disadvantage of delayed hits.

True again, it 's OP. Also seems to be made especially as a light hull killer. And effective distance is way too large, yes.

Rail is an issue, but to your comfort, they have their finest days during M1, and from M2 off it starts to get worse for them in regular battles.

Tankers know how to fight them, paints, less OP, camping becomes less effective etc.

As a non-buyer Tanki isn 't easy. Nothing is impossible, but thing are tougher.

On the bright side: while a buyers/drugger can take it pretty easy, you have to evolve true skills.

 

In general: stick with one combo and don 't waste many crystals on paints.

Only paints I would recommend are Forester and later on Tundra, which are great against the very common and hard to avoid Railgun.

Ok, you do lack protection against other hulls, but especially with a light hull, multiple protections are often too low.

And if a Tanker has a lot of brilliant paints against one turret, they always have to choose the right one and what is the right one in

a battlefield with all kinds of turrets? Save yourself the hassle and crystals and stick with as few paints as possible.

Instead invest those crystals in micro-upgrading your equipment. Especially your turret.

About drugging: don 't rely on it when low ranked but improve your skills first. Later on start using them and in the case of

Wasp/Smoky the red Double Damage should be the one to buy if you are ever going to buy drugs.

WO5's used to play with Generalissimo's...

Oh please, back in 2011 we had Corporals playing with Marshals. Not to mention that there was no server separation, so low ranks would be mixed in with high ranks and battles were a complete mess.
